The Elysian Union is a political and economic union of states based in the continent of Elysium. Born as a result of protracted negotiations between the Britannian Commonwealth and the Western Republic, the Elysian Union seeks to foster greater cooperation and prosperity between states in Elysium-but also to improve the relations of Elysian nations within the world abroad, including that outside of the region of Tetrakon.
The Union seeks to accomplish this through reduction of trade barriers, the appointing of several representatives to represent the best interests of member nations abroad, the reduction of passport controls between nations and the adoption of a single overarching currency known as the Elysio, which member states may or may not opt to adopt as their state currency.
The Elysian Union is not a military alliance; it is a form of supranational organisation which seeks to bring the political and economic aspects of Elysian nations together in order to foster prosperity for all. The Elysian Union also has an open-armed stance towards extra-regional powers, preferring to establish official links and perhaps trade with them as opposed to spurning them entirely.
Article I. [Disclaimer]
Elysian Union consists on the basis of the Elysian Community and lays out the legal value of the treaties that have been outset by the founders of which Reformed Britannia and The West. Under any circumstances shall be respected and recognised by member states.
Article II. [ELUN standards]
The EU is "founded on the values of respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities." The member states share a "society in which pluralism, non-discrimination, tolerance, justice, solidarity and equality between women and men prevail".
Article III. [ELUN aims]
The aims of the ELUN in 5 points. The first is simply to promote peace, Elysian values and its citizen's well-being. The second relates to free movement with external border controls are in place. Point 3 deals with the internal market. Point 4 states the EU shall promote its values, contribute to eradicating poverty, observe human rights.
Article IV. [Council Presidency]
The President of the Elysian Council is a principal representative of the Elysian Union (ELUN) on the world stage, and the person presiding over and driving forward the work of the Elysian Council. This institution comprises the college of heads of state or government of ELUN member states. Stated Rotating presidency has been clarified to institute a repeating 4-month cycle in which one of the Council members shall be elected, by its member member states, And henceforward promoted to Council president.
The voting procedure will go as following:
a)Each ELUN member-state will Will choose a delegate they wish to see take up the presidency
b)The candidate with the most votes at the end of the voting will be announced as the President of the ELUN effective immediately.
c)The Candidate that came in second with the second most amount of votes will be announced as Vice President effective immediately.
Article V. [Enrolment, observer status]
The application process for membership, nations must issue a communique to the supranational union. Once this is done, a reviewing process will begin that will determine whether or not the nation will be admitted to Elysian Union. Nations must be full democracies or an equivalent with a reasonable degree of personal and political freedoms in order to be admitted to the Elysian Union. We wish to view your economic statistics through NSeconomies to be included in said communique. It will also have to choose whether or not to adopt the Elysio (Elysian Union's international currency), and thereby join the Elysio Zone. Other than that, we will not provide nations with application forms, rather open applications where nations really have to prove themselves, if interested. The same implies to nations that seek to apply for observer status, which will, then, have to notify that it's an observer application in said communique.
Article VI. [Voting procedure]
Once the communique for ELUN membership request have been received. The applicant will be classified as Potential Candidate. At this time a voting process will be set by ELUN member-states. If the unanimous majority of Elysian Union member-states votes in favour, then it shall permit the Potential candidate to be promoted as official Elysian Union Member-state candidate. Which means the vast majority of ELUN member-states have dated a 3-week-period properly fostering the nation as a full member of the Union.
If the potential candidate gets rejected –whether that be only one vote- it will stay in its potential candidate position for 1 month proper. If after 1 month indeed signs of development in the nation itself, matches the ELUN criteria, the potential candidate undergoes the same voting process stated above.
Once a member has been permitted into full membership of the ELUN, that member may run for Presidential election for at least on presidential cycle (1 Month RL)

Elysian Ministry (Council of Ministers called for short) varies in composition depending on which topic is discussed. It consists of the respective ministers of all current member states. The Council shall, exercise legislative and budgetary functions. It also exercises some policy-making and coordinating functions. Each minister responsible for it's own sector.
General Affairs (Genaff): General affairs co-ordinates the work of the Council, prepares for Elysian Council meetings and deals with issues crossing various council formations.
