Malgravean Comic Strip 'Dando' Celebrates 30 Years.

On this date exactly thirty years ago the first edition of the Dando Comic strip was published in the Royal Malgravean Times. The comic strip follows the story of a T-Rex and various other groups of dinosaurs as they observe current political and economic events in the United Kingdom of Malgrave and make satirical remarks about the events.

The comic strip received instant popularity as many felt that they often connected with the sarcastic views of the dinosaurs and their views on the political scandals going on in the Malgravean Government, this high popularity has not kept them safe from criticism however as the backlash from one of their comic strips making humorous remarks about the terrorist organization the Malgravean People's Party and the death of civilians at a market stall caused several thousand people to protest outside of the office of the Royal Malgravean Times.

Today the Royal Malgravean Times posts a light hearted edition of Dando poking fun at the international stereotype that Malgravean citizens don't have a sense of humour.

Royal Family visit General Oskar Hospital

Queen Helena Wells and her wife Myka Wells visited General Oskar Hospital in the centre of Epping to mark the start of her tour visiting various medical centres across the country, the trip is designed to bring attention to the impact the work of the Royal Medical Society has had on the Malgravean healthcare system. Upon entering the hospital the couple were greeted by several members of staff who then guided them around the facility.

After a brief amount of time looking at several new pieces of medical equipment across the hospital, and learning how the new equipment and updated surgical procedures had resulted in increased survival rates across the hospital the Royals were taken to inspect the latest edition to the hospital, a large ward constructed entirely from a charitable grant from the Royal Medical Society.

The sector that cost a grand total of 100 million Malvians to construct is full of the most modern technology to combat against and aid the lives of those affected with neural disorders and is large enough to treat those from across Epping. The Royal couple were visibly affected by the facility as they completed their official tour.

Afterwards, Queen Helena made a short statement to the press.

"After visiting General Oskar Hospital I have full confidence in the Malgravean Healthcare system. The United Kingdom of Malgrave is continuing down the path of medical advancement and shall continue to maintain one of the world's most advanced healthcare systems.

Foreign Minister Heinrich Tupolev Resigns

In a shock announcement Prime Minister Nikola Tesla announced that he had just accepted the resignation of Heinrich Tupolev from his position at the Foreign Minister, the now former Foreign Minister stated that he was leaving the job to spend more time with his family. In a short statement he expressed his support for furthering Malgrave's expansion into the international community and hoped that ending years of isolationism will provide a significant bonus to the Malgravean economy, people and its culture.

After the announcement, the office of the Prime Minister made an official announcement on behalf of the government.

"We fully understand the reason for Heinrich Tupolev's resignation and fully accept the need to spend more time with your loved ones, the government would also say that the efforts of Minister Tupolev will live on well beyond our time, he has been firmly woven into Malgravean history and has opened the country to a vast wealth of culture and trade by leading the nation out of isolation."

Following the resignation, Prime Minister Nikola Tesla announced that the role of Interim Foreign Minister would be given to the current Minister of Science and Engineering Quinn Fabray, with the Prime Minister giving the following statement of support.

I'm incredibly impressed with the work Quinn has done as Minister of Science and Engineering during our time in government, it can be an extremely demanding job and she has shown great skill while under pressure.

In the following months, it is expected that Heinrich Tupolev will join the board of Royal Malgravean Airlines as a part-time advisor, assisting the nation's flag carrier in promoting its services abroad. Thomas Plume, a highly respected representative from the Maldon region is expected to take over the role of Foreign Minister once the intermittent period of stabilisation is over, it has also been reported that Quinn Fabray could be moved as high up as the Deputy Prime Minister in an attempt to boost the party's popularity before the next general election in 2010.

Fascist terrorists strike Epping Metro. Prime Minister resigns.

Yesterday will be marked as one of the most tragic and dramatic periods in Malgravean history. Early yesterday morning during the height of rush hour traffic approximately three terrorists with large individual suitcases packed with C4 and suicide jackets detonated their explosive devices in several positions across the Helas metro station, one of the main metro stations in Epping stationed near the financial district.

According to early reports from the nations fire services the terrorist attack was extremely well planned as the explosives were detonated near crucial supportive structures in the Metro station causing several sections of the station to collapse on itself further adding to the death toll of the disaster.

The Malgravean Health Service (MHS) made a statement to various assembled national and international press regarding the current death toll and the amount of people injured during the horrific attack

"I can confirm at this present moment a total of 555 persons have been killed from injuries relating to the terrorist attack that hit Helas station yesterday morning. A further 1,102 civilians have been injured the attack. Two of them remain in extremely critical conditions whilst the others are undergoing recovery following surgery or are being monitored for any further signs of injury. - MHS spokesperson.

Another shocking revelation struck the country when it was officially confirmed that Prime Minister Nikola Tesla was not just refusing to stand for re-election but actually resigning from the office before the election. The now Former Prime Minister gave the following speech to various media outlets outlining his reasons for leaving.

"During my successful re-election campaign I made a promise to the Malgravean people. I promised to them that the large scale terrorist attacks that were present during the awful period of the 1970's would never happen again in Malgravean history. Today terrorists successfully launched the largest terrorist attack in Malgravean history.

I've broken my promise. I apologize to every citizen and hope that you can forgive me.

After the announcement various experts and analysts attempted to predict who would be appointed the official successor to Prime Minister Nikola Tesla with some stating that recently appointed Deputy Prime Minister Quinn Fabray could be appointed Prime Minister whilst others predicted that Finance Minister Ernst Hofner would be moved into the role, however it appeared that today was the day nobody could of predicted as unexpected candidate Transport Minister Rachel Berry was officially selected by the Former Prime Minister to replace him in the run-up to elections.

Faberry political union proves winning formula in election.

Prime Minister Rachel Berry has officially been elected as the nations new Prime Minister just weeks after being nominated into the position after the resignation of the former long standing Prime Minister Nikola Tesla, although many in the nation doubted the expertise of the Prime Minister she led an excellent campaign winning 68% of the vote in the country and establishing a large majority in Parliament.

Experts before the election came out against the Prime Minister stating their er relationship with the Deputy Prime Minister combined with her relative inexperience and junior position as Transport Minister would create an extremely inefficient and poor campaign that would lead to the Progressive-Unity party losing their majority in Parliament to the Conservative Action Party, however analysts were soon proven wrong as the Prime Minister started a well thought out and driven campaign against the opposition even marketing the relationship between the two as a benefit between the country quickly adopting the term faberry to describe the union the two politicians travelled across the country talking to common people across the country and playing to the media well when out together in public.

Upon wining the newly elected Prime Minister gave a speech to a room full of her supporters in which she thanked them for giving her the chance to get into office, she also outlined a multiple stage plan that she claims will help her achieve her campaign promises that she made to the people.

I shall work as hard as a can to show that the faith you placed in me was not misplaced. Malmo Opera House officially opened by Malgravean Government.

Today the Malgravean Government opened the latest Opera House in the newly constructed city of Malmo, the opening of this Opera House by the Prime Minister re-enforces the Malgravean Government's current plan to promote and expand understanding and culture within Malgravean Society.

Prime Minister Rachel Berry gave a speech to the guests invited to the opening after official procedures had been completed, during the speech she praised the effort of the Royal Cultural Society in promoting various artistic pursuits in schools across the country, she also congratulated the Malgravean people for showing it's interest in understanding the differences between different countries and embracing them.

"I congratulate the Malgravean People for their understanding, countries across the world have different cultures from that present in Malgrave this makes every country in the world unique and special in it's own way and by embracing our differences and sharing we can expand Malgravean culture and advance further down the path of civilization" - Prime Minister Rachel Berry

Major accident in Malgravean lab contained after heavy fighting

Just hours ago a representative for the Malgravean Special Forces (SAS) confirmed that an accidental outbreak of "creatures" had been contained at one of the countries most prestigious and successful biological development laboratories. The incident apparently started after several volunteers were injected with a substance designed to increase the brain capacity of the subject and grant him increased survivability against infections and injuries when an unexpected mutation happened causing the subjects flesh to harden, the volunteers also exhibited extremely violent behaviour instantly attacking and killing three nearby intern scientists that had been ordered to administer the drug.

The "creatures" then attempted to break out of the secure testing facility, during this time scientists observed that the "creatures" appeared to posses extreme human strength and given such characteristics they easily broke down the exit, forcing the scientists to retreat to a panic room and call the services of the SAS however not before two more scientists were killed.

The SAS responded quickly entering the building and moving to secure each level. After securing the entrance and the upper floors the soldiers soon met heavy resistance when moving into the centre of the facility. Intense gunfire was heard for hours and eventual re-enforcements were called to replace soldiers injured during the assault. Finally after 12 hours the all clear was given to start a final security sweep. This time with a large contingent of the Royal Malgravean Marines.

"I can confirm at roughly 1pm the Lotov Biological Research Facility suffered an outbreak of "creatures". As the experiment was not deemed to be excessively dangerous security was light and scientists were unarmed, after the breach of the testing grounds the scientists followed regulation and evacuated to the nearest panic room before calling in the security forces

The Special Forces entered the facility at approximately 1:32PM and initiated their cleansing sweep of the facility, encountering extremely heavy resistance when they approached the centre of the facility. After 12 hours of heavy fighting the "creatures" were confirmed to have been killed however to ensure the complete security of the region and allow citizens to confidently walk the streets 5,000 Royal Marines have been moved into the region to sweep the region and the facility for any escaped or hiding creatures . - Government Spokesperson Alan West speaking to journalists outside Number 10

The Malgravean Parliament later discussed the issue in an Emergency session just one hour after the scientific facility was declared secure and Marines initiated their sweep. Prime Minister Rachel Berry supported by Minister of Science Murray Coleman called for all future scientific research to be done away from the Malgravean mainland for security reasons, a call partially rejected by the Malgravean Conservative Action Party although supported by the Malgravean Green Party and the Malgravean Technology Party the two third largest parties in the country, although the support is not need considering the large majority of the Prime Ministers Party it is a sign of the governments popularity and the continued co-operation between political parties in Malgrave. New regulation was also passed that stated that at least one scientist in every large testing group has some form of military training and security personal can be present in 5-10 minutes.


"Although the Malgravean Government knows the importance of scientific advancement to help further us down the path of ascension, we also realize that the risks that come along with these advanced experiments are extremely high and often endanger civilian life. Malgravean Military Police activated in Pinsk

The Malgravean Military Police has been activated in the Northern City of Pinsk in response to several threats made by the banned New Malgravean Communist Party. The threats come near the date of the anniversary of the assassination of the former leader of the now disbanded Malgravean Communist Party which the New Malgravean Communist Party is a splinter of.

Commander Zaltz of the Military Police made a short statement regarding the deployment of the Military Police that follows

"The Malgravean Military Police has set up various security checkpoints through the city and outskirts of Pinsk in the North Region of Malgrave to deter possible terrorist actions and protect civilian life. Life in the sector's effected shall continue as normal and government activities in the city will also continue"

The New Malgravean Communist Party has made several threats regarding terrorist activity focused on the city and surrounding districts of Pinsk in the Northern Sector of Malgrave. Tomorrow marks the 50th Anniversary of the successful completion of 'Operation Democratic Revenge'. In this operation soldiers of the Malgravean Special Forces worked together with the Royal Malgravean Paratroopers to move into the main headquarters of the Malgravean Communist Party and assassinate the leader of the party Vladimir Welt.

Since the successful operation against the terrorist leader the Malgravean Communist Party carried out a string of revenge attacks on the date of his assassination, however in 2000 the Malgravean Communist Party devastated by a series of operations by the Malgravean special forces accepted an offer and entered peaceful negotiations with the Malgravean Government. In 2004 the Malgravean Communist Party accepted a peace-deal proposed by the Malgravean Government and peaceful merged into the Democratic Malgravean Socialist Party, the sane members realized that future violence was only harming future effects and democracy was vital to the continued survival of the Malgravean State.

A few radical's did not accept the new peace deal and hours later announced the foundation of the NMCP (The New Malgravean Communist Party) and carried out several random shootings across the country and pledged to continue the fight against the Malgravean Government. As tradition every year following the death of Vladimir Welt they have attempted to carry out several attacks against government officials in areas across Malgrave

In response the Malgravean Military has worked together with the Royal Malgravean War Museum in organzing several re-enactments of the famous military operation. Families across the country have turned up in support of these re-enactments in country wide defiance to back down to terrorist actions. Prime Minister Rachel Berry was also seen talking with several Malgravean Socialist Party Members in a sign of political unity. Tom Ashton leader of the Malgravean Socialist Party and former member of the MCP made a short statement to the press regarding the NMCP

"The New Malgravean Communist Party cannot threaten the people of Malgrave into fear. The Malgravean Communist Party came to understand the insanity of their former ways, we understand that Malgrave was weak after it's foundation and had a misguided opinion on how to fix it, however the United Kingdom of Malgrave is no longer weak and Democracy is the foundation of a stable society."

Confusion reigns as Malgravean Parliament both supports and condemns Hippostanian Government in less then 48 hours

Many Malgravean citizens were left befudlled at the actions of their national Parliament as the nations political body released statements stating that bills had been passed both supporting and condeming the Hippostanian Government.

The situation started weeks ago when the Hippostanian Government passed a bill outlawing communism and socialism from within the country. After the bill passed in Hippostania the implications of the ban was discussed in parliament and the Conservative Action Party immediately attempted to introduce a bill that would of supported the actions of the Hippostanian Government and led the Malgravean state to passing a similar law in the future, this action was immediately rejected by the Malgravean Socialist Party who viewed it as an attempt to cripple their party and the ruling Progressive-Unity Party who saw the movement as too authoritarian for the Malgravean state to consider.

After several weeks of tense negotiations a majority agreed on the wording of a document officially supporting the Hippostanian Governments recent bill banning communism from within the country but leaving out the section about any future bill in Malgrave. At the time Prime Minister Rachel Berry of the Progressive-Unity Party made this statement on the issue

"The people of the United Kingdom of Malgrave stand by the decision of the Hippostanian Government in it's decision to make communism illegal in the country. The Malgravean state has suffered from vile acts of communist terrorism since the 1920's and understands why the bill was passed "

This however changed just 24 hours later when the Malgravean Parliament was made aware of several sections of the bill that could mean that Malgravean soldiers that fought in important battles like Stalingrad on the Eastern Front would not be honoured for the sacrifice they made against the horrors of Nazi German and although the bill was soon modified to allow socialist and communist systems to be portrayed in a neutral light it became a growing concern that films portraying Malgravean soldiers in a positive light whilst wearing Soviet uniforms and using Soviet equipment could be banned under the Hippostanian guidelines.

According to internal sources politicians of the Progressive-Unity Party, the Malgravean Socialist and the Malgravean Green Party were seen debating the issue in a private room of the National Parliament, it seems that during these talks the MP's discovered the real purpose of the bill and when they came out introduced a bill condemning the Hippostanian Government for making democratic socialist parties illegal and turning towards a more authoritarian regime. Prime Minister Berry then gave a revised statement.

"Although the Malgravean Parliament still supports making extremist communist movements within Hippostania illegal. The Malgravean Government does not support the efforts of the Hippostanian Government crushing democracy by making democratic socialist parties illegal within the nation. The United Kingdom of Malgrave also has soldiers that fought with the Red Army during and after Stalingrad and does not wish to see the honour of these brave men and women tarnished by and increasingly authoritarian regime"

New war memorial celebrates the co-ordination of Soviet and Malgravean soldiers during the second world war

Approximately 2,500 Malgravean citizens attended the opening of a new war memorial celebrating the efforts and co-ordination of soldiers from the Soviet Union and United Kingdom of Malgravean soldiers, relations that were unstable at the start of the war for several important reasons grew to the end of the war and grew to a level of solidarity by 1945.

The story of relations technically began in 1922 when the newly established United Kingdom of Malgrave and Soviet Union were still extremely cautious of the international community, however relations between the two states quickly fell away into the darkness for reasons still unknown to this day, the crisis point however came during the early stages of the second world war.

The United Kingdom was a fierce supporter of Polish independence and the Malgravean Prime Minister Nikola Tesla personally flew to the Polish capital were he gave a speech on Polish independence, part of which is now famous across Malgrave

"I hear people asking questions about the sovereignty of Poland nearly every day. People ask why is it so important that Poland has independence, they often state that Germany or the Soviet Union should have control over the lands of Poland. I strike them down with a resounding no! The reasons apart from the obvious historical reasons are clear, by allowing the Nazi and Soviet regime to do as they wish you will start another war in Europe and no-one is ready for such devastation another reason is so simple I thought all would lnow it. Putting the armed forces of Fascism and Communism together is just asking for an armed conflict to break out, one that will spell the death of millions of young men and women. That is why with conviction I can state that the Malgravean Government will not allow Poland to fall to plunderers!

Prime Minister Nikola Tesla authorized the sending of 10,000 soldiers to advise the Polish Military on matters of national defence, soon increasing that number to 50,000 combat ready soldiers upon the news that German and Soviet military forces were showing greater then normal activity. Sadly these troops were not enough to hold back the invading German and Soviet soldiers and the lack of assistance from the West spelt doom for the Malgravean soldiers who were eventually forced to flee with Polish soldiers into Europe, fight to the death or take their chances in German custody.

Nazi Germany soon put together the pieces of information and realized that the defence of some parts of Poland had been coordinated by the Malgravean Military and went to organize an invasion of the Malgravean state, however luckily Mussolini who respected the Malgravean state for fighting with Italy during the First World War managed to save the Malgravean state from invasion, in return however the Malgravean military was forced to volunteer units to serve in the German Army.

From that point on in the Second World War Malgravean Units fought in France, Northern Africa, Greece, Yugoslavia and Norway earning a high degree of respect from certain German commanders including Erwin Rommel who praised several Malgravean tank commanders present in his now famous "Ghost Division" that stormed through France. Victories however cannot last and soon several Malgravean units found themselves attacking the city of Stalingrad, forced by Hitler himself to guard the flank with poorly equipped Romanian and Italian soldiers they soon managed to create a spirit of discontent within the Romanian and Italian units, when Soviet Units assaulted their positions they put up initial heavy resistance soon folding when encountered with Soviet armour in the form of the impressive T-34 they managed to negotiate with high ranking soldiers in the Red Army. Stalin himself personally negotiating with then Prime Minister Josef Wajda to allow Malgravean and defecting Romanian and Italian soldiers (who after the war became Malgravean citizens) to join the efforts of the Red Army and liberate Stalingrad.

Following the victory at Stalingrad, the Malgravean Units were successfully moved around the front line, soon convincing Malgravean units at Leningrad to join the Soviet attempt at liberating the city. Malgravean units then stormed forward with the Red Army, again receiving glowing recognition from commanders like Vasily Chuikov after fighting in many historical battles including Kursk, Operation Bagration and finally the Battle of Berlin.

This memorial among many other similar in the United Kingdom of Malgrave symbolizes the struggle shared by Soviet and Malgravean soldier to crush the evils of Fascism. On top of these efforts well known singer and socialist MP Ernst Busch has re-released a famous single of his titled "Thank you Soviet soldiers" of which the proceedings will be donated to various charitable organizations created to look after veterans of the First and Second World War.

Hippostanian-Malgravean troops continue to combat communism!

Hippostanian Marines and Royal Malgravean Marines discuss tactics before an exercise meant to re-create a counter-terrorism scenario[/align]

Soldiers from the Royal Malgravean Army co-operated heavily with soldiers from the Hippostanian Marines a few days ago. The operational war-games simulated several scenarios that hint at the possibility that Malgravean soldiers could co-operate with the Hippostanian Military on future military operations including the liberation of genocidal or undemocratic regimes.

If the above is true it would represent a strong movement in the countries foreign policy, although Former Prime Minister Nikola Tesla formally ended the long standing policy of diplomatic isolation he refused to actively engage the international community instead leaving them to contact and establish relations with the Malgravean regime first, it appears that Prime Minister Berry opposes this and has started to reverse this policy option becoming more active in the international community opening several embassies with regional allies and co-operating militarily with international friends.

The activation and deployment of Malgravean troops into an international theatre would be a different matter entirely. Given the current political make-up of the Malgravean Parliament the Prime Minister would have to present certain facts that intervention by the Malgravean Military would save lives both in the short and the long term and that any Post-War stabilization and re-organization would take months not decades.

Members of the Hippostanian and Malgravean military traded tactics on counter-insurgency operations. The Royal Marines have been combating Communist and Fascist groups in the country since 1910 so would of more then likely provided insightful information to the visiting marines. The culminating moment of the exercise was a demonstration displaying the ability of both Hippostanian and Malgravean marine to establish a beach head, one of the most vital parts of an amphibious operation, a demonstration that showed off the co-operation between Hippostanian and Malgravean forces.

Malgravean version of the K21 tank stands by during a defensive operation. The K21 performed incredibly well, the anti-tank variant performing especially well scoring several "kills" against simulated enemy tanks during an invasion scenario.

Morrdh hit by earthquake! Malgrave comes to assistance

Yesterday sources from the Malgravean Foreign Minister confirmed that an earthquake of an unknown magnitude struck the city of Ramarck in the west of Morrdh. Although the size of the quake has not been reported by the Morrdh authorities damage to the cities infrastructure has been catastrophic pointing towards the theory that the Morrdh Government is keeping the details of the size of the disaster away from the people and the media in an attempt to quell any possible chaos during this difficult period of time.

The Royal Malgravean Air-Force was also activated alongside specialist branches of the Malgravean Emergency Services as the Malgravean Government pledged it would do it's job as a regional ally of Morrdh and offer assistance to the country in it's time of need. Sources for the Royal Malgravean Times near Portsmouth Airport (Head of the Transport Wing) of the Royal Malgravean Air-Force witnessed several large and medium sized aircraft being activated and loaded with various levels of equipment and personal.

Ingenious technology like this robot will most likely save many lives.

It is unknown if any Malgravean citizens have died during the disaster however Morrdh is an extremely popular tourist destination for Malgravean citizens and many thousands have also visited the country for work opportunities in the countries emerging scientific market, although the quick and large scale activation of the Royal Air-Force suggests that some Malgravean citizens might of been caught up in the disaster.

Although not often effected by natural disasters the nature of the Malgravean people to protect themselves against a manner of natural disasters including earthquake protection (which many in the international community call paranoid behaviour) has led to numerous technological advances in the field of disaster prevention and relief. Automated systems like the "Wounded Person Carrier" (pictured above) automatically takes a wounded individual to a designated emergency relief centre thus allowing the people it would normally take to carry the individual back to the centre to continue rescue work saving value time. The automated carried is also full of sensors which monitor the health of the wounded individual over the journey period and shares this information with the emergency centre providing the medical personal with vital information that could mean the difference between life and death.

Leader of Malgravean Socialist Party arrested

Timo Sioni founder and leader of the Malgravean Socialist Party was arrested yesterday upon the conclusions of a three investigation by the Malgravean Special Investigative Service (MSIS). Immediately after the arrest the MSIS released a brief summary of the reasons for the arrest and the contents of the investigation. It alleges that Timo and several other members of the Malgravean Socialist Party co-operated with the communist terrorist organization the New Malgravean Communist Party (NMCP).

Politicians of the MSP used their connections within the government to steal classified government and military documents pertaining to routes of the Malgravean Military Police/National Guard and gave this information to people within the NMCP. The NMCP then used this information to carry out several successful ambushes against Malgravean soldiers that resulted in the death of 15 military personal.

During a session of Parliament members of the Malgravean Progressive-Unity Party, the Malgravean Conservative Party and the Malgravean Green Party called upon the Malgravean Socialist Party to be fully investigated for links to the NMCP. This proposed bill will be voted on tomorrow. As per regulation however all current MP's of the MSP were banned from attending Parliament and shall receive no government privileges until their names are cleared by an official investigation.

Prime Minister Berry gave a short statement during the Parliamentary session in which she called for the MSP to reform and cut it's radical members from the organization.

"Today another blow has been struck against the forces of radical politics. One should never use aggression or violence to achieve their political ideals and the Malgravean Socialist Party need to accept that like any other democratic party. They should cut loose the radical traitors inside their party and step forward into the civilized democratic world"

Skylight the Minister for Anti-Communism and Fascism also released a short statement to the press outlining her reaction upon hearing the news of the arrest.

"Personally I'm not surprised. Communist infiltration and indoctrination still remains one of the largest threats to our national security. We need to remind ourselves that socialism is pure propaganda meant to entice gullible citizens on the path towards Communism and tyranny. Remember report any suspicious communist activity to your local police station."

Sentient Pony promoted to Ministerial position

The United Kingdom of Malgrave took one step in the path towards a more equal and civilized society today upon the news that for the first time in Malgravean history a sentient Pony has been placed into a Ministerial position. Skylight has been an elected MP for the Progressive-Unity Party since 2008 when she won the seat of Maldon from tough Conservative and Green Party opposition.

Since her election into the parliament she became a strong voice in the movement against Communism, Fascism and Socialism within the country quickly gaining a reputation for her excellent speeches regarding the historical and current failure of Communist, Fascist and Socialist regimes to bring a high standard of living to their population and bring substantial scientific development to the nation.

It seems that her commitment against the dictatorial systems of Communism and Fascism was noticed by high officials in the Malgravean Government as Skylight was rewarded the position of Minster of Anti-Communism and Fascism a highly respected and prestigious role in the Government Skylight will be responsible for tracking down and ceasing illegal Fascist and Communist activities within the country and outside (when carried out by Malgravean citizens)

Economic growth forecast upgraded to 6.2%

During a press conference yesterday the Malgravean Finance Minister happily announced that the previous predications by the Malgravean Finance Ministry that the economy would expand at a rate of around 5.5% have been updated and proven to be incorrect. Ernst Hofner stated that impressive profits from Malgravean companies in the automotive, tourism and construction industry led to an increase in confidence in the Malgravean stock and financial sector which spurred on private investment.

Financial Analysts also claim that the recent movement by the Progressive-Unity party to scrap minor taxation and regulation that was effecting expansion and employment in small businesses across the United Kingdom of Malgrave greatly aided this spur of financial growth by making it increasingly worthwhile for many Malgraveans to either employ more workers, expand their current business into other areas or invest in a local business.

Politicians of the Conservative Action Party used these recent financial growth figures in an attempt to show the Government that lessening regulation on major corporations will have the same effect in radically increasing private investment into the economy both internally and externally. Prime Minister Berry however quickly responded to the statement by the Conservative Action Party by saying the following in the same parliament session.

"The Conservative Action Party would want you to believe that a small bill removing the taxation on hiring new employees into small businesses and the reduction in commercial stamp duty relates to reducing financial regulation on some of the largest and most successful corporations in Malgrave. It's pure propaganda and the Malgravean people won't stand for it"

The Conservative Action Party however was undeterred by the response from the Prime Minister and immediately attempted to pass through legislation within it's constitution that called for the partial immediate de-regulation of all financial institutions in the United Kingdom of Malgrave whilst dramatically reducing taxes on the wealthiest Malgravean citizens from 35% to 15%. The bill was easily defeated by the Progressive-Unity Party who hold a majority in parliament, although they also received support from virtually every single part in the Malgravean Parliament most importantly the Malgravean Green Party and the Malgravean Technology Party, the third and fourth largest political party in the United Kingdom of Malgrave respectively.

What was surprising was the fact that around thirty politicians from the Conservative Action Party joined the ranks of the Progressive-Unity and Green Party in rejecting this law with sources close to those who rejected the bill stated that countries that de-regulated it's financial sector too much often suffered from extreme economic issues years after de-regulation and that rapidly dropping taxes on the wealthiest of citizens would put the country in danger of running a deficit and the reduction in revenue would force the Government to reduce the budget.

This large dissent in parliament will only strengthen the movement of the Progressive-Unity Party and will no doubt be used in the future to aide the campaign of current Prime Minister Rachel Berry. If the leader of the Conservative Action Party cannot control his own MP's how can he be expected to lead an entire nation? It seems that although today is good news for the Malgravean economy it is bad news from Alfred West, leader of the Conservative Action Party.

Los Vientos Stock Exchange attacked by terrorists!

Tragedy struck the Iglesian Archipelago yesterday when terrorists successfully carried out an operation against the Los Vientos stock exchange, although information regarding the terrorist attack is still surrounded by rumours and half-facts due to the chaotic nature of the blast and the lack of any statement from any investigating party it has been established that a large car-bomb planted in the car-park of the financial facility caused a catastrophic structural collapse.

The Iglesian Government has estimated that around 3,000 innocent civilians have died in the blast and although the United Kingdom of Malgrave and the Iglesian Archipelago share neutral relations at this moment of time no confirmation has been put forward by both the Iglesian or the Malgravean Foreign Ministry on the rumour that Malgravean citizens have died in the attack, although given the extreme nature of the attack the exact number of people killed and their country of origin will most likely take some time to ascertain.

Foreign Ministry officials however have made an official statement on behalf of the Malgravean Government regarding their reaction to the terrorist attack in the Iglesian Archipelago which follows;

"The United Kingdom of Malgrave was extremely shocked and saddened to hear of the terrorist attack upon the Iglesian Stock Exchange and our condolences extend to those effected by such an awful and cowardly attack. We offer are full support to the Iglesian Government during this time of crisis and although we have differences in the way we govern our country I hope that we can work together to promote international security, stability and democracy.

The Foreign Ministry also responded to rumours that the Government of Luziyca funded, promoted and carried out the terrorist attack to strike against the apparent Communist policies of the Iglesian Government in providing a base for banned Communist parties and having a large welfare state.

"The rumours that the Luziycan Government coordinated the attack in the Iglesian Archipelago is absolutely disgusting. A civilized state does not need to resort to international terrorism to protest against the internal affairs of another country especially if these acts result in the death of innocent civilians.

Security Analysts within Malgrave however have stated that the complete lack of competent anti-terrorist laws in the country and the poor security at the Stock Exchange aided the attack and led it to be successful. Royal Malgravean Times security expert Todd Edwards made this short and damning criticism of security in the Iglesian Archipelago

Terrorism is an extremely simple and easy act to carry out in the Iglesian Archipelago, in fact most of the entire constitution can be considered by Malgravean standards to be an advertising board for international terrorism. One can easily gain access to the country with a variety of weapons and then proceed to travel freely throughout the country with these weapons. If anyone walked around Malgrave with an assault riffle he would be arrested by police as a danger to society however in the Iglesian Archipelago he'll just be ignored and allowed to carry on as normal, this is not how a sane state works.

If anyone attempted the same type of attack carried out in the Iglesian stock exchange on the Malgravean stock exchange they'll be stopped within minutes and laughed right the way into the jail. The United Kingdom of Malgrave have this security without restricting personal freedoms why can't the Iglesian Archipelago have at least some of these measures in place?

Democratic Socialist parties are accepted albeit frowned upon in Malgravean society. Communist terrorist organizations have waged a war of terror against the Malgravean people since 1910 hence the media is exceptionally bias against anything that can perceived as extremely communist that and the fact that the Malgravean state already provides what the people want they have no reason to become a socialist.
