WL has posted, I have posted, Green Echo has posted. Others are...making their moves. One of us is otherwise engaged.

They didn't need to threaten to coup him, they could have asked him to stand down. You cannot predict what would have happened, unless you have access to magical powers that the rest of us sadly lack. If so, could you sort out world hunger, rather than predict which way a regional delegate will jump? :P

White Lance seems to be you and I will blatantly accuse you of being controlled by the same person.

Also- You didn't even mention my main point.

But couldn't this have been done with the teensiest colouring of legality by doing it in a public manner, is the point I'm trying to raise? :) Fotar already suggested such an approach might have been better in response to WL originally.

Anyway, we've expressed our views, and at least now democratic rule in Balder is restored. :) Good luck, Fotar, in your coming term. We won't be trying to facilitate revolution in Balder. Provided you don't get tyrannical. Who knows - then it might be US working with the UDL and staging a coup. XD

...so when someone's being mean dictator, the answer is asking them to step down and creating your own elections, and when somebody's being a decent dictator, the answer is a mysterious coup (also well-announced)?

He hacked an e-mail account. Fotar could've gone to the police about that.

More likely his e-mail provider, and then either his ISP or the ISP of the hacker. I doubt the police would deem it serious enough to warrent investigation, especially since he has since recovered his account. This is way beyond the scope of NationStates, though.

What I meant was, Lux was not just abusing powes ingame or whatever, or planning on hacking accounts. He had ALREADY actively hacked an email account, and had his attention not been diverted by the coup, who knows what else he would have done? Democratic actions would've just been too slow.

I would suggest, then, that you guys practice safe password security from now on -- NO birthdates, NO pets names, NO hobbies, NOTHING that refers to you or your interests whatsoever -- and use passwords that are longer than six characters, upper and lowercase, using numbers and special characters.

@Famicom; I agree that in severe cases such as hacking that extends beyond the realms of gameplay, swift action is required, and regional government must be prepared to act quickly when such evidence is found. When it comes to security, sometimes you need the power to act with discretionary power.

@Kat; I agree entirely. Also be aware of Social Engineering; be wary when someone appears to be fishing for that information that is commonly used in passwords.

I would like to add to be careful with your security questions as well. That is how my email was hacked, not from a simple password (my passwords are nearly impossible to crack). I had made my security question a long time ago...then chance had it that months later I practically gave away the answer in my motto without even realizing it. :palm: So check your questions every once in a while and make sure you don't suffer an overlap like I did.

False Aglrinia was given to Johz, however in my attempts to persuade Johz to give it back apparently he handed it off. Johz has either forgotten or doesn't want to disclose the new owner of the account.

Johz got back to me and confirmed this series of events, however who now owns this nation and why it returned to The South briefly, remain unanswered.

I've no intention of creating chaos in The South, Mahaj is too nice and you're too smart. I was merely using it as a puppet bay but wasn't open about said matter. Simply due to the fact that I don't like to reveal my puppets identities by doin so it makes it so I can play out a completely different persona through that nation, thus making it easier to get into that nation's significant RP style. Or should the time ever come for an election they're so spread out through NS and some are decently known so their stories can be backed by others.
