Of course the two delegations who decided to bring guns to a international union on equality and freedom would be allies... Chuckling silently to himself at this, Delas remembered back to when he had been a guard on international delegate duty. He'd hadn't quite ever experienced anything like being topic conversation in the middle of a room full of angry individuals all pointing firearms at one another, princess he'd been assigned to protect managing to single handily disarm the entire situation without a single shot being fired, quite the experience indeed... Snapping out of it in what he had hoped was a timely manner, Delas spoke. "If we could please get back to the topic at hand, the Shadow Corporation find's itself liking the suggestion presented by Henry as well as Maven, the use of the Goddess of Justice does seem quite appropriate considering the ideals this organization is pursing."

"Please join us and have a seat. We have a lot to cover, not just discussions about Symbolism it seems. We will be having what will be an important Economic Summit which will decide how we deal with nations economically who violate all the tenets of Equality and Freedom which we hold dear. We need to send a clear message that the behaviors we have seen are absolutely unacceptable and that there are consequences for violating the rights of the sapient. Within the fortnight we will travel to Salvarity who will host the summit and we will make major decisions about trade and then we will hold another summit on military action." Maven said as he offered the delegate hot water for tea or coffee which were both there. He also offered ice crystal candies and lemon drops.

Porkof took a lemon drop. Lemonade was there to preserve the Innate Teddy Complex. Without it, the Complex would have rendered him unsapient after a period of several months, and gosh knows what a diplomatic incident it would have caused if he had leapt at the 501st with claws. Lemonade was how bears had become "civilized."
His mind turned back to the meeting. "With all due respect, it might be better if our logo was somewhat more ... minimalistic. It would be easier to identify and reproduce. And we agree with Crystal Spires - we do not quite understand why freedom must be sacrificed for equality. However, the basic idea of Justice is a good one."
"We also fully support the Union's idea of actively engaging against those who dare violate another being's right."
For too long, Porkof mused, had there been wishy-washy politics with careful diplomatic foot-stepping.

Henry stroked his chin once more and replied, "I don't believe that we should engage against them immediately. We should negotiate with them first, and if that does not work out then we we will immediately take action against this person."

"That is a very important point. Also another thing that came to mind. We could have multiple symbols with multiple meanings. It is my belief that we should have a symbol for opening communication and diplomacy. The Scales adorned by banner carrying Doves sounds like a good one to be the Union's call for active diplomacy, and our general use communique. Then I think we should use another symbol for a call for action. When any member state sees this communique the message within it must not be ignored and the response you give should be as quick as possible. It should be one used when there are time sensitive conditions. These calls for action should be used when there is a call for either diplomatic sanctions or military intervention." Maven said as he pulled out a small machine. " It is also my belief that if we shall need a code, we it should we also desire to develop an encryption code for secret communication between members, should the need arise. There's always a good use for keeping military intelligence in the right hands."

It is an imperative that this organization must not adopt such military ways, although we certainly do agree with the principle behind them. Of course, there is nothing we can do to stop our armed forces from engaging in such an affair. But not using the organization as a front."

Porkof checked his Teddy Computer Industries T Phone, and read out the message. "We also ask the assembled if cannibalism is legal under the charter, for it is in our nation, where the person in question may be consumed 48 hours within death, and must have also given his written permission in person to the Ministry of Health, with strict guidelines and an observer covering all details of the move."

"I see no problem if it is consensual, but if it is not that would make it punishable, and the circumstances when military action is called for is when there is either a very extreme circumstance and all other options have been exhausted, or a time-sensitive circumstance which will lead to danger for everyone." Maven said as he folded his hands. "There are those who will respond to diplomacy with violence, and then it would be necessary to call for aid as well."

Porkof mulled it over. "Firstly, thank you for the clarification regarding cannibalism. Spires was just talking about how military intervention can only be used if there is an extreme situation, or when diplomacy fails, or when we are time-pressed, or when the nation in question attacks. I think."

"Of course, with regards to cannibalism in the case of the Teddy Bear Republic, I feel that if it is consensual and voluntary much like Spirean organ donations we have no problem. With regards to questions about the use of military action by the UEF, I believe this warrants discussion. There will be circumstances in which calls for diplomacy alone leads to attacks by hostile nations. There are also circumstances that are time sensitive in which there is a limited time to take action. For example acts of genocide and mass murder are time sensitive, and it is our duty to act in any ways possible to preserve life, even if it means that we must depose the offending leadership. We wouldn't have time to initiate diplomacy to save those lives, and merely acting with trade sanctions reduces the lives of those lost to a price which is offensive at the mere suggestion. No, it is our duty to act." Maven said as he looked at the others.

"Nonsense. If they are a threat to the people they must be dealt with, or they become a threat to all people everywhere. Failure to uphold their duties of protecting the people is one crime, but allowing injustices to happen and tacitly accepting it or equating life to economics is another crime. Sanctions and embargoes are not serious enough to deal with genocides. The lives of people lost cannot be recompensed, and we have to be able to act on their behalf to end the murders and if that means force must be used, then it must be done. One does not merely wash their hands of it as if it can be deniable. It's morally unjustifiable to let such things happen and is not a moral higher ground when other lives are in danger. It is enabling evil." Maven said as he scowled ever so slightly.

President Rainbow Dash smiled with her teeth showing while her eyes scan the room on everyone. She thought for a moment while looking at them of giving a tiny speech for them on who she is or wait for High Chancellor Maven Auryn to welcome her or that...bear? Probably best for that Demihuman to greet her first at least.

Both President Rainbow Dash and the Commandos gaze at the 501st soldiers . One of her bodyguards head knee beside on of Dash's left ears and whisper quietly."Not to be rude but who brought a bunch of Star Wars nerds..." She left ear twitched, strangely some folk will turn their military into replicas from fictional popular movies like Star Wars, not truly a terrible idea since Legokiller military at times replicas popular fictions into real life gear like her own personal Chainsword which wasn't with her at this moment. Rainbow Dash then salute them back to respect them from saluting the President of Legokiller.
