So, I seem to recall some discussion here about venting, or redirecting a tanks exhaust over the tracks towards the ground, or some such, to reduce the tanks IR signature. I'd like to incorporate this feature into the next upgrade for my main battle tank, or retcon it into the current production run.

Can anyone here be assed enough to either give me a brief rundown on the principal behind this, or how its accomplished, so I'm not talking out of my ass when I d the write up, or be kind enough to point me to some reference material.

Its also possible I'm just over thinking the concept.
