Horse shit. I doubt you could even define love, let alone decide what age you're allowed to have it. Anyway, I would say most people under 30 and a lot of people older than that are obviously going to have a hard time discerning love from infatuation, because it takes experience with both to really understand what they are.

Speaking from my personal experience and the experiences of close friends and family members alone. Of course, there are many unique aspects and elements which one need consider, but can you truly imagine a mere child comprehending in full what it truly means to love? I knew this girl since kindergarten,We were friends she wanted to be my friend, she had a crush on me,I always neglected her (because I was too young to understand) and felt that she was trying to annoy me.Then in the 3rd grade,I went to another school,we became separated, and I never found a girl like her again. It was until the 5th grade that I understood what I did wrong.I understood that she was trying to be my friend, that she loved me,but I neglected it and took it the wrong way.I regret that.In the 6th grade I allegedly met her again,or it could have been a similar girl with the same name,we started talking, time was running short,I was in a hurry, and I left.On the way home I thought about it,and regret for being in a hurry,I should have stayed to talk.Haven't seen her since that day.At least now I know that both of our schools are right next to each other. My one final chance  ,better hurry up before June though.

Of course there are some other girls who have secret crushes on me.
I know some, and others are complete strangers
That's why I always keep my hopes up :)

Well, if you define "love" loosely, then I'd say around 15-16 (which made it difficult to vote, btw. I settled on 13-15, though). Just some girl I knew in school. We never dated or anything. I remember convincing our teacher that I needed to move across the room in order to see the board more clearly, lol, when really it was just to sit closer to her. I don't think I ever actually talked to her though. :/ Ironically, I saw her a lot more the year after that when she started dating a friend of mine. Anyway, that was my little crush. If you don't count crushes, infatuations, and other random things like that, then I'd say I've yet to "fall in love". I'm 23, btw...that seems relevant.

Nope, had a few crushes, but I have a very firm arms length policy with everyone to avoid painful attachments now. (not that I really need it, it's largely just me catching myself thinking about someone rather than having to push others away, and squashing any feelings I think I might have immediately by reminding myself that A: I have no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and B: in a few months I won't be seeing anyone I currently know ever again.) I've almost gotten myself to the point that I'm emotionally dead internally, (externally I don't think I've expressed emotion in about five years.) I still have a few weak feelings I have to suppress every now and then, but I have hope that in a few years I'll just be trained out of it entirely. If it turns out I can't manage it, oh well. I've made enough progress that I can live with the annoyance, I guess.

A fellow will remember a lot of things you wouldn't think he'd remember. You take me. One day, back in 1896, I was crossing over to Jersey on the ferry, and as we pulled out, there was another ferry pulling in, and on it there was a girl waiting to get off. A white dress she had on. She was carrying a white parasol. I only saw her for one second. She didn't see me at all, but I'll bet a month hasn't gone by since that I haven't thought of that girl.

First time really in love? I was 13 years I thought, 2 years ago. With a girl from school. It didn't run into something unfortinalty, and I haven't seen her for around 1 year when I moved from school to another school. It kinda went like this, I said a friend I liked a girl, and he asked which class, so I answered in which class she was, and he said he knew someone. So we had a talk with that guy he knew.

''Hey mate''
''Hey''
''Yeah this is *insert my name*, he likes a girl from your class.''
*I look shocked, a lot of people draw attention to the conversation*
'''Do you know her?'' I ask
''Yeah, I know everyone from my class, how does she look like?''
''Well, uuuh, she quite small, she's *insert random race here* and yeah. She's tanned and she looks gorgeous.''
''Oh, that is *insert random name here*, she stands behind you.''
*Looks behind*
''Oh...hey....uh.....''
'*I walk away with friend*

A couple of days later on a school party

I see the girl again, and a friend (female) of her comes walking to me
''Yeah she talks about you for like 2 weeks non-stop, you should speak to her''
*So I walk with her friend to her*
''So *insert girls' name here*, you should tell him, otherwise I gonna tell him''
*Girl shuts friends' mouth, girl smiles to me*

AND THEN, I DID THE MOST STUPID THING I DID IN MY LIFE:

I WALKED AWAY

I was 18 years old when I fell for this girl at my school. Her name was Christina and we became great friends but I didn't have the courage to ask her out. One day I actually did build up enough courage to attempt to ask her but I chickened out at the last minute and ended up just shooting the shit with her for a few minutes.. and I'll regret that decision for the rest of my life because she passed away that night in a car accident. If only I had asked her out, she'd be alive today. Fuck.

I've been with my man for 6 1/2 years, together since 14, engaged right before my 16th birthday, love at 1st sight, we had liked each other since 11 but were too shy to say anything, we're age 20, been living with together for 2 1/2 years, never broke up, never had any huge problems, our relationship couldn't be better, he's went through hell for me, our love is beyond unfathomable, we couldn't be happier, & we just got married a week ago. :D

age of first "crush"-- 7 on my 2nd grade teacher. Who would be about 57 now.. but if I could go back in time at the age i'm at now (34) to then, she'd be 30... so it could work. Dammit where's my time machine?

Age of first "love crush"-- 12. With a girl whose name i no longer remember, but after she kissed me once.. i knew I was hetro.

Age of first "true love"-- still waiting.. :(

as an average there are physical developments in the brains of 18 year olds that are not present in 16 year olds.
also as an average, 18 year olds have a degree of independence that makes coercion less likely along with some experience in differentiating between crush, lust, and love.
