IMPERIAL KAUVARAN AERONAUTICS

Welcome to the official storefront of Imperial Kauvaran Aeronautics! Having almost 30 years of competing against each other in the War of Unification, then another 20 working together, the engineers at IKA are the masters of the skies! Below are some of our most popular models. However, do not let them stop you! These are just basic models! If you desire a custom plane, then just do the following steps, and we'll do what we can to make your wish a reality:
1. List your price range. What is the minimum amount you are willing to spend on this plane? What is the maximum price?
2. What role would you like the plane to have? Fighter? Ground attack? Transport? Strategic bomber? Multi? Is it naval? You can even create your own custom role and describe it to us, and we'll see what we can work out!
3. Any special notes you would like to add? STOL? VTOL? Stealth? We'll see what we can do to make it work!
4. What name do you want the craft to have? IKA will provide the technical designation, but the nickname/reportingname is up to you to decide!
5. Are there any specifics you want us to keep in mind while designing the aircraft? Maybe you want a certain speed, or a specific number of weapon stanchions!

If the craft below do not suit your taste, then feel free to order a custom one! Please keep in mind, however, that, based on the number of custom orders received, the designing of the craft may take anywhere from 24-72 hours. Thank you for choosing IKA!

PS-1 "Lyn:”
Role: Light attack (Strike)
Crew: 2
Length: 11.49m. (37ft. 8in.)
Wingspan: 9.72m. (31ft. 10in.)
Height: 4.76m. (15ft. 7in.)
Empty weight: 4,600kgs. (10,141lbs.)
Loaded weight: 6,350kgs. (14,000lbs.)
Maximum speed: Mach 1.01 (667MPH, 1,073 km/h, 579 knots)
Maximum altitude: 12,500m. (42,660ft.)
Engine(s): twin jets
Gun(s): None
Weapon hardpoints: four underwing pylons per wing, one underfuselage station
Cost: $19,500,000
Special notes: weapon hardpoints can be configured for almost any type of munitions, STOL-capable

The PS-1 "Lyn" was established with the needs of a tight budget in mind. This aircraft is capable of committing to basic strikes against enemy positions, both aquatic and terrestrial, based on its weapon load-out. It's specialty involves making airstrikes against light enemy positions in support of advancing infantry and armor.

The PS-1 "Lyn" does suffer in most areas. It is not a dedicated air-to-air dogfighter, and will quickly be overpowered by most modern craft. While it can be deployed en masse to counter enemy aerial formations, heavy casualties will likely be sustained. It's range is also rather poor, and must be based closely to its operational area in order to effectively do its job.

However, the true value of a plane comes not from it's hardware, but from the person behind the controls. In the hands of a skilled pilot, the PS-1 can fulfill most any role with efficiency and economy. The cheap cost of this craft will allow it to be deployed with large numbers in support of advancing infantry formations. It is also carrier-capable, and can therefore be launched and maintained without the need of an airfield. The PS-1 "Lyn" is the answer for any nation seeking a cheap, efficient way to bolster its ground forces with that little bit of extra firepower and strategic support that comes from well-coordinated, effective airstrikes.

PM-2 "Vos" and PM-2/A “Zee-vos:”
Role: Multi
Crew: 2 (pilot, navigator) (1 (pilot) in PM-2/A)
Length: 13.20m
Wingspan: 8.20m
Height: 4.40m
Empty weight: 6,560kgs
Loaded weight: 10,500kgs
Maximum speed: Mach 1.9 (2,138 km/h)
Engine(s): twin jet
Maximum altitude: 51,000ft.
Gun One: 23mm nose-mounted dual-autocannon
Weapon hardpoints: 2 standard under-wing pylon stations per wing (maximum weight of 4,000 lb (2,268 kg) each), 3 under-fuselage (one heavy located fore, two standards aft in triangle)
Cost: $29,000,000 without weapons
Special notes: Both variants are STOL-capable

The PM-2 "Vos" is a fairly standard mainline aircraft. It was designed with the needs of the primarily-naval military of Prizyetsa in mind.

Of course, the "Vos" and "Zee-vos" do have their drawbacks. They are substandard planes in all technical specifications. While they are incredibly reliable, they will not last very long against sixth-generation fighter craft in a dogfight, and they require large numbers to overtake fifth-generation craft. They can hold their own against fourth-generation, however, and can easily outclass third-generation fighters.

However, the primary advantage of the craft lies in its simple design. It is highly modular, and can be repaired by anybody who knows anything about mechanics, and replacement parts can be jury-rigged from a variety of sources. Not only that, but it an incredibly easy plane to learn for all involved: mechanics can learn it quickly, pilots require almost zero training to operate it, it can be broken down for transport and stored/reconstructed easily, and a "Vos" can easily be churned out within a month to replace losses. Not only that, but they can be upgraded from their "flyaway purchase" status with almost anything the buyer wishes. The only unchangable aspects are the engines and weapons. Everything else, from the radar to the respirator, can be changed out, so long as it still fits into the weight limit. These two craft have just finished testing with the Prizyetsi military, and have become their official standard multirole craft.

SM-1 "Caracara:"
Role: Multi
Crew: 1 (pilot)
Length: 54ft. 2in. (16.51m.)
Wingspan: 34ft. 3in. (10.44m.)
Height: 17ft. 7in. (5.36m.)
Empty weight: 22,000lbs. (9,980kgs.)
Loaded weight: 48,000lbs. (21,800kgs.)
Maximum speed: Mach 2.05 (1,400 mph, 2177 km/h, 1175 knots)
Maximum altitude: 50,000ft. (15,000m.)
Engine(s): 1 heavy turbofan
Gun(s): 1 20mm. (0.79in.) gatling gun mounted in starboard roost
Weapon hardpoints: 17 pylons with a capacity of up to 15,000lbs. (6,800kgs.)
Cost: $48,000,000
Special notes: weapon hardpoints are highly-modular and able to use most any ammunition

When the Emirate of Shahbaz emerged, it realized it was vulnerable in the modern world. It did not have a strong military. It needed ships, weapons, tanks, and planes. For the latter, it came to the IKA, masters of the skies. After a custom order, the XSM-0 "Test_Model" was born. This impressed the Shahbazi so much, that they bought the first model created, and it was titled the SM-1 "Caracara."

The drawbacks to the SM-1 lie in it's lack of specialization. The aircraft has no real strengths. As such, it suffers somewhat against dedicated fighter craft. It will not last long in a modern dogfight. It is also relatively lightly-armed with merely one 20mm. gatling gun. This leaves it lacking once it fires its designated payloads.

However, this release of the payloads will not happen quickly. With 17 hardpoints, the SM-1 can wield an impressive amount of firepower. While most planes generally make a single pass for an airstrike, then have to return to base to rearm, the SM-1 has the capacity to carry enough weapons to easily make four or five passes, as well as carry enough missiles to continue using the advanced weapons in a protracted dogfight.

In short, the SM-1 "Caracara" is a very good plane for nations who are just starting out and want a good, standard mulitrole fighter that can fulfill the role needed without too much trouble. It is also good for any nation who is trying to fill gaps in its air forces, attempting to fill them with a solid multirole craft to support their main, more advanced planes.

KF-7/A “Aldvekt:”
Role: Naval fighter
Crew: 1
Length: 50ft. (15.25m.)
Wingspan: 35.5ft. (10.8m.)
Height: 17.5ft. (5.35m.)
Empty weight: 21,540lbs. (9,770kgs.)
Loaded weight: 30,900lbs. (14,016kgs.)
Maximum speed: Mach 1.8 (1185MPH, 1,900 km/h, 1,026 knots)
Maximum altitude: 55,000ft. (16,800m.)
Engine(s): twin jets
Gun(s): 1 23 mm autocannon
Weapon hardpoints: 6 underwing-stations per wing, 2 underfuselage stations
Cost: $90,500,000
Special notes: STOL-capable

Named after the Kauvaran industrial city where it was first developed, the KF-7/A “Aldvekt” was the primary naval fighter of the Imperial Kauvaran Navy before it was phased out in favor of the KF-11/A "Waterfox." During the War of Unification, the coastal citystates of Aldvekt and Takan were locked in aerial combat. The engineers in Aldvekt began designing a carrier-borne aircraft to outflank the Takan air forces. The result was the KF-7/A.

The KF-7/A “Aldvekt” has no real drawbacks. It is a very standard craft, able to hold the line against most modern aircraft-of-the-line. During the Aldardan War, the KF-7/A achieved high levels of success against enemy aircraft. Most of the dogfights it was involved in revolved around dogfighting much larger amounts of slightly inferior enemy aircraft. In short, the KF-7/A proved itself in a “crowd control” role, taking on 3:1 numbers and emerging victorious.

The only drawback to the KF-7/A “Aldvekt” is its inability to take on enemy ships with anything more than long-range anti-ship missiles. Close range anti-ship fire missions are an impossibility, as the KF-7/A will not stand up to the anti-aircraft capabilities of modern ships.

For a nation looking for a quick response naval aircraft that can perform well in the dogfights of today, the KF-7/A is the answer. It can maintain an effective CAP over any fleet, ensuring their safety from any aerial threat.

KHT-4 “Heavylifter:”
Role: Heavy/Strategic transport
Crew: 4-5 (two pilots, navigator, engineer, non-essential crew chief)
Capacity: 140 passengers, 100 soldiers, 115 wounded (with 5 medical staff), 5 Humvee-sized light vehicles, 3 tanks or heavy APCs
Length: 97ft. 9in. (30m.)
Wingspan: 132ft. 7in. (40.5m.)
Height: 38ft. 3.in (11.5m.)
Empty weight: 76,000lbs. (34,400kgs.)
Loaded weight: 121,000lbs. (54,431kgs.)
Maximum speed: Mach 0.55 (366MPH, 592 km/h, 320 knots)
Maximum altitude: 33,000ft. (10,060m.) unloaded, 23,000ft. (7,077m.) fully-loaded
Engine(s): four turboprops
Guns: vary by modifications
Weapon hardpoints: virtually unlimited (varies based on modifications)
Cost: $65,000,000 (basic transport model)
Special notes: can be highly modified (IKA can make role-specific modifications if listed in purchase order, either with customer-designated specifics or through a general role request)

The KHT-4 “Heavylifter” is a recent addition to the Kauvaran Armed Forces. After the Aldardan War, it became apparent that the Imperial Kauvaran Ground Forces needed a way to get from one place to another quickly and efficiently. Several C-130 “Hercules” transports were purchased for the Darksnow War. However, these were not efficient enough for the scale needed by the IKGF. It was then requested that IKA develop a craft that could, en masse, efficiently transport an entire Kauvaran Legion (500,000 soldiers) along with their light vehicles. The XKHT-0 “Fatfox” hit the drawing board.

After several months of development, the KHT-4 “Heavylifter” was finalized. However, there were several flaws the engineers at IKA could not solve. One is the slow speed; this craft is incredibly vulnerable to all forms of anti-aircraft fire, and must be strictly escorted. While armored against most autocannons, missile hits will devastate its large, lumbering frame.

However, the KHT-4 is a guaranteed method of transporting any large numbers of troops, vehicles, and materials. In conjunction with a naval force, a fleet of KHT-4s can easily transport an entire army with expedience.

Do not think that the KHT-4 “Heavylifter” is restricted to only the transportation role, however. Any modifications listed in a purchase order can and will be applied. The KHT-4 can, and does, fill any role such as heavy gunship, AWACs, electronic warfare, strategic bomber, or almost any other role needed. All branches of the Kauvaran Armed Forces use this aircraft in a variety of roles specifically suited to their needs (NOTE: please provide nickname designation for new model; IKA will provide technical designation).
NOTE: this aircraft can be modified by IKA to fit any role the buyer desires, be it heavy gunship, AWACs, electronic warfare, strategic bomber, etc.

PST-2 “Feitfox:”
Role: Heavy/Strategic transport
Crew: 2-4 (two pilots, non-essential engineer, non-essential crew chief)
Capacity: 110 passengers, 100 paratroopers, 75 wounded (with 5 medical staff), 3 Humvee-sized light vehicles, 2 tanks or heavy APCs
Length: 42m. (137ft. 9.5in.)
Wingspan: 43.5m. (142ft. 8.5in.)
Height: 14m. (45ft. 1in.)
Empty weight: 228,175lbs. (103,500kgs.)
Loaded weight: 404,548.3lbs. (183,500kgs.)
Maximum speed: Mach 0.87 (575MPH, 924 km/h, 498 knots)
Maximum altitude: 36,000ft. (10,972m.) unloaded, 27,000ft. (8,229m.) fully-loaded
Engine(s): four turbojets
Guns: none
Weapon hardpoints: none
Cost: $72,000,000
Special notes: STOL-capable

Designed for the Prizyetsi military, the PST-2 “Feitfox” is the epitome of transport technology. A massive, dedicated transport, the PST-2 can carry up to 80,000 kilograms (approximately 88 tons) of bulk cargo with relatively good speed and range. Not only that, but the design allows for it to take a high amount of damage and still be flyable, due to similar construction techniques with the KB-6 “Foxfire.”

However, that said, the PST-2 is not perfect. Unlike the smaller KHT-4 “Heavylifter,” it cannot be modified very easily. The multiple decks of the KHT-4 were removed to allow for more cargo space, resulting in a craft that is dedicated to its role.

However, that does not mean that it is not highly-proficient at its role. The PST-2 is one of the largest, fastest, and toughest strategic transport planes out there. It is truly a freighter of the air.

KB-6 “Foxfire:”
Role: Heavy strike craft
Crew: 1 (pilot)
Length: 53ft. 4in. (16.25m.)
Wingspan: 57ft. 6in. (17.5m.)
Height: 14ft. 8in. (4.5m.)
Empty weight: 25,000lbs. (11,325kgs.)
Loaded weight: 30,385lbs. (13,785kgs.) to 42,070lbs. (19,083kgs.) depending on armament
Maximum speed: Mach 0.65 (439 mph, 706 km/h, 381 knots)
Maximum altitude: 45,000ft. (13,700m.)
Engine(s): 2 heavy turbines
Guns: 1 30mm. (1.18in.) heavy gatling autocannon
Weapon hardpoints: 8 under-wing stations, 3 under-fuselage pylon stations with a capacity of 16,000lbs. (7,260 kgs.) total
Cost: $16,000,000
Special notes: Can be equipped with almost any air-to-ground missiles, rockets, or unguided bombs

During the War of Unification, the lands between the city-states of Tilden was no-man’s land. They were a deathtrap. Any vehicles moving through them would be destroyed almost instantly. The reason for this was the predecessors of the KB-6 “Foxfire.” After decades of anti-ground missions, the IKA has perfected the art of precision heavy airstrikes. The KB-6 is the result of these efforts.

The KB-6 “Foxfire” suffers from slow speed. It is not advisable to deploy the craft from a mother country in support of troops in another; the KB-6 is too slow, and will likely not even arrive until the battle is over. In order for the KB-6 to be effective and useful, it must be deployed from in-country airbases, either captured or constructed prior to the arrival of the aircraft.

However, while the slow speed of the KB-6 “Foxfire” is a logistical weakness, it is not a battle weakness. It is made up for with extremely heavy armor. A KB-6 can take an unbelievable amount of punishment and still fly. It may suffer in performance until it is repaired, but it can easily return to base after a fire mission where it took heavy AA fire.

The KB-6 “Foxfire” is the tank of the air. In an era when front lines are dissolving, and modern heavily armored vehicles are becoming more and more obsolete, the KB-6 steps into the emptying shoes, filling them with extreme efficiency, excellent ability, and empirical affinity.

KUCAV-5 “Oculus Vulpae”
Role: Strike/observation drone
Crew: 1 radio controller
Capacity: 0kgs.
Length: 11.35m. (37.2ft.)
Wingspan: 9.1 meters (30ft.)
Height: 4m. (13ft.)
Loaded weight: 18,000lbs. (8.2kgs.)
Maximum speed: subsonic
Maximum altitude: 55,000ft. (16,800m.)
Engine(s): single turbofan
Gun(s): modular
Weapon hardpoints: modular (two underfuselage-mounted weapon bays)
Cost: $51,000,000, or $60,000,000 with stealth package, or $150,000,000 for control package
Notes: highly-autonomous for simply-slightly advanced sections of mission, stealth-capable

The KUCAV-5 “Oculus Vulpae” is the result of three decades of drone development. During waning years of the War of Unification, a primarily air-based war, the citystates of what was to become Kauvara had lost thousands of pilots. Unmanned areal vehicles were seen as a good answer to both the increasing casualty rate, as well as the continued fortification of each city. Five models, three decades, and one unification later, the KUCAV-5 was the result.

The KUCAV-5 has no real drawbacks. However, this also its Achilles Heel. It is incredibly expensive to produce, the program costing Imperial Kauvaran Aeronautics 286,000,000NSD just to develop. Also, due to its advanced nature, the KUCAV-5 will require an advanced suite to operate. However, such suites can be purchased in a package deal of $150,000,000.

However, that being said, the KUCAV-5 is the epitome of observation and strike technology, all of which can be done from the safety of the homeland, as this craft is intercontinental, so long as fuel can be supplied. It is almost completely autonomous, only requiring actual operation during strikes themselves, or dangerous evasive maneuvers during attacks where countermeasures will not be enough.

Subject: Custom Fighter Aircraft

Esteemed representative of the Imperial Kauvaran Aeronautics,
I am contacting you today on behalf of my government and the Emirates Air Force in regards to your program to create a custom fighter design. The Emirates Air Force is currently in a mode of transitions from its initial formation to a modern and effective force to support the Emirate Ground Forces and maintain air superiority and security over the airspace of the Emirates of Shahbaz. As a result we have decided to contact you corporation to assist us in this transition. Our air force (EAF) is in need of a light multirole fighter aircraft capable of standing up against the modern fighters of imperialist powers within the price range of 45,000,000 and 55,000,000 NSD. We require an aircraft with standard take off and landing capability, a speed of at least 1.2 Mach at sea level and 2.0 Mach at altitude. We would like the aircraft to have the ability of utilizing guided anti-tank and anti-facility weaponry as well as modern air-to-air weaponry. We would like the weapons to be Nordlanda Pact standard, specifically Kauvarian standard for simplicity and ease of supply. We ask that the aircraft be single seat. The name we would like for this aircraft is the Caracara.

We would like to request 50 KB-6 Foxfires for counter-soviet activities.
We were also curious whether or not we could get a discount, as we are allied in the war for the liberation of the Soviet Union.

The Constitutional Empire of Socialist Provinces expresses it's due respect and gratitude to the mighty Imperium of Kauvara, and as to it's subsequent Imperial Kauvaran Aeronautics. We wish to do business, and purchase exactly of 57 KF-7/A "Aldvekt" Naval Aircraft. This, by our simple calculations, will result in a price of approximately $5,158,500,000. The KF-7/A fits the parameters of which we require to near perfection, and the remainder that does not fit can be easily remedied back on our mainland.

-Our esteemed graces,
Signed, Empress Veronika Jvn
