It is a presidential republic made up of 6 key republics and 2 provinces. From west to east it shares borders with Vandengaarde, Valmulistania and Czechiturkistan. It spans a large thin part of northern USN having a wide range of environments and landforms. It has a very prominent role in mining and mineral resources which is were most of its income is come from.

From west to east of the nation environments span to mountains, deserts, semi-deserts, steppes and forests. Summers are long (from May through September), hot, and dry, while winters generally are mild and dry, although occasionally cold and damp in the south. Most of the country also is quite arid, with average annual rainfall amounting to between 100 and 200 millimetres and occurring mostly in winter and spring. The country's climate is influenced chiefly by the mountains, the USVL position far from the ocean, and the absence of any body of water large enough to influence weather patterns. The only major body of water in the country is a short border over Jakirian lake in the north.
Natural Hazards include earthquakes which only happen in the less populated areas in the desert. Sand storms are common in the desert, cleaning the desert of anything other than sand, making archaeologists and palaeontologists work cut harder.

Industry is rampant in the country and pollution is rarely delt with. The nations industrial hub, Ubergrad has the most fossil fuel output of any other city in the USVL. This is mainly due to the heavy use of coal and oil. Some experts are saying that the continued use of fossil fuels may enlarge the great Valepian Desert in the west. Most of the water in the USVL is polluted by industrial effluents, pesticide and fertilizer residue, and, in some places, radioactivity. The gravest environmental threat to the USVL comes from radiation, especially in the Desert region of the west, where the Communist government tested many nuclear weapons, nearly a quarter of them above ground. Often, such tests were conducted without evacuating or even alerting the local population. Although nuclear testing was halted shortly after, radiation poisoning, birth defects, severe anaemia, and leukaemia are very common in the area.

== Military ==
Their are three branches of military in The Valepian Lands, the Federal Army, The Valepian Navy and the Federal Air force.
There are about 10 million troops in the army, 3 million in the Navy and 1.5 million in the Air force, totalling 14.5 million. Which accounts for just under 4% of the population.
Units that make up a large portion of the army are conscripts, who are minimally given basic training for a half a year. A conscript can go for additional training, but this is not necessary and many just go for basic training only.
The main firearm of the military is the AK-103 Assault rifle, coupled with a M9 Barreta.
