on decision of the Supreme Soviet regarding the 4th 5-year-plan, the P.C. for external relations was advised to establish contact with our neighbour states and the rest of the world. I am proud to report that as of today we have done so! Several governmental buildings have been allocated in the capital to house the foreigners' delegations. We will not discriminate, all nations who maintain the desired level of rights and freedoms are welcome to fill out the attached form and to apply.

Discussion was heated and loud in the chambers of the Subcommittee for External Relations, as how to react upon the application received from the dictatorship of Ohanka John. This was a rather big step for the unseasoned delegates. How was one to handle stalinism...no, their small number was ill-equipped to judge this matter, disregarding the directives making it their responsibility. This decision had to be taken before the Supreme Soviet. Stanislav Masinski felt out of his league here...he was a diplomat, not an ideologist. He picked up the phone, requesting a call to the office of the chairman of the Supreme Soviet. Old Karadze would have to deal with this, clearing away some space in the agenda for a potentially monumental discussion about the future of the Free Territory.
And he would get together with his advisors and friends this evening...this was a happy event nevertheless. A sign. The little group of rebels had grown into an international force, the few streets in Brokdorf that first called themselves the "Free Territory" were now a world-power. But what stress that had produced, one had to decide about crazy foreigners wanting to build a statue of their head honcho on the Via Stalingrada! Hah, the nerve! Hm, but what to do with their application. After short deliberation he binned it, and quickly worked out a missive for the foreigners.

Further, there must be no drugs, no alcohol, and no cursing in the Embassy you give us.
If we open an Embassy in your country, remember that the Ambassadors and all their company become permanent residents in the building, so they'd need a place to sleep, preferably in the same building. TurtleShroomian law requires a 24/7 ambassadorial presence, so Sue and company will never, ever leave your country unless he is relieved of his duties or breaks the law. - Will you be hiring locally? It would be a honor to provide jobs for your people. We hope to employ twenty additional bodyguards, three translators, and two service staff to regularly bring to the Embassy food and water for daily use.

- Number and Type of Weapons: Out of respect for your requests, we will not bring our Gatling guns, which are automated. Instead, we shall bring (from home) the following for each of TS' six provided guard: one long double-barreled shotgun, two revolvers of small and large caliber, one taser, two pistols of small and large caliber, and canned hornet spray (which is better than pepper spray and mace!). We will supply the ammunition for it and will not charge you.

- What is your opinion of the Free Territory? We have observed how tough you are on crime and have marvelled at your comparatively high morality (at least as far as we have seen). - What is your opinion of NEP? TurtleShroom economists consider it an asasinine attempt to inject "fairness" into a system that's supposed to be a level plaing field. It nationalizes most everything and sets crippling price ceilings and floors that allows the government to pick and choose winners and losers and corrupt the market and society from the top down. We also feel that taking food from farmers and into a nationa lstorehouse will lead to rationing and famine, as it did with the Red Chinese (TS' name for RL China), Putingrad (TS' name for RL Russia), and Kimmy World (TS' name for RL North Korea).

- What is your opinion on third-way-economics in general? We respect a noble attempt to combine free markets and personal responsibility in general with the failed but well-intentioned means of state planning, price controls, and attempts to allow competition by shattering monopolies or fierce regulation. TS is entirely lazziez-faire except in medicine, where hospitals are forced to pay for creatures that can't afford to pay for their healthcare themselves.
(We find the idea of turning someone away from medicine because they can't pay antithetical to the belief of equal oppurtunity and a country that values life, so we break the usual capitalist rule and force care to be given regardless of pay.)

- What role does organized socialism take in your political system? Socialism does not exist in TurtleShroom on any measurable scale big enough to influence the nation, but it has seen its day in city councils and amalgate intercity governances. Once in a blue moon, a closet Marxist may enter into Congress that isn't from the Marxist grasslands in the southeast.
What TurtleShroom actually has is pure, one hundred percent complete, classless, pure Communism. That is to say, there is no poor among them and the class system doesn't exist. Creatures equally distribute goods amongst their comrades and live in a leftist utopia. However, these communes are extremely small and heavilly decentralized, and in total, there are one million people living in this system.
The government would never allow it to become national, because it'd become like USSR and would never work. Capitalism works.
