Actually, Lauren Faust wanted to do a Sailor Moon-esque theme to MLP: FiM, with the accessories at the end of episode 2, but Hasbro said no since they wanted every episode to be watched in any order. If she could, she would totally do Sailor Moon or something like it.

But yes, that picture is okay I guess. Nothing fantastic.

Also, the url for picture has 20% in it. Just something to note.

Eh, it's well-drawn, but they're all too uniform in appearance. There's no diversity in their facial or body structure. Aside from eye color and hair style, they all look almost identical to one another. There are others that are much better as they actually do something to distinguish the characters from each other.

I didn't like Trixie, but if she's in season 2 and becomes a better person, then I wouldn't hate her as much. Just my thoughts. I know she's not a bad person, it's just that she is boastful and "I-art-holier-than-thou".

Yes, the scripts are good, but it's more than just that. It's more of how complete the plot and characters are.

The show isn't too clever for adults but some humor goes over the heads of children. The show is adorable so it doesn't make you a pervert, just awesome. The characters are enjoyable and actually learn lessons from their adventures. The characters are also multi-dimensional (as in Rarity being a fashionista, but she owns a shop and cares about the fashion of others, therefore a rounded character).

If you are concerned about your manliness, check out ponychan.net, they even have a thread about how manly they are. No joke.

I'm sorry: someone please help me with this. I read the first few pages of this forum and a red flag has gone up in my head: why in the world are all of these guys watching a show about cartoon ponies? Despite a decent storyline and funny jokes, isn't that just a little too weird for anyone? This is an honest inquiry; i'm no hater in other words :p help me out
