The kangaroo's true (hey, that rhymes!) You shouldn't hit anyone anyway, but gender's don't matter.

It's a matter of self defence. You can't just give someone a bloody nose if they're intent on smacking you one, you put them down and don't give them a chance to get up and try again.
And to prevent someone like you misrepresenting this as an example 'violent behaviour', this is realistic and in line with the expectation of self-defence in the UK, and undoubtedly elsewhere.

You know for some weird reason I read that as woman. Hmm. Maybe it is too early for rum.
Aha, well I think it's sad that someone would read that and perceive a maternal tone. I would think that this is what most civilized people agree upon, that hitting anyone is wrong.

Did any of you try threatening to take away something she held dear? Or providing a positive incentive for her if she stopped hitting people.
Its just, I've never been around a child so unruly that she could break her parent's nose and I can't really imagine a child that isn't more or less easily cajoled by their parents at that age.
Just because you can't imagine it does not mean it doesn't exist. And yes, she had things taken away, and it was explained, so please, don't try to move the goalposts again.

But that's not exactly what we're here to talk about. No, today I'd like to ask NSG's thoughts on a related issue.
In today's society, is it, morally speaking, still worse for a male to hit a female than for a male to hit a male, a female to hit a male, or a female to hit a female?
I think that it's not. While I think hitting anyone is usually morally wrong, the gender of the person being hit and the gender of the person doing the hitting shouldn't factor in at all. We live in a society where a woman can do (in theory, at least) whatever she puts her mind to, just like a man. If you want equality, you have to take all or nothing, and that means you don't get a pedestal where you're shielded from the negative consequences of your actions. If male-on-female violence is more reprehensible than other combinations of gender and violence, then women might as well grab the loaf of bread and get back in the kitchen, because they clearly don't really want equal equal rights and treatment.
But what do you think, NSG?
Disclaimer: I do not advocate going out into your kitchen and brutally assaulting with a fish the nearest woman who refuses to make you a sammich, regardless of the suspiciousness of putting this disclaimer here when I mentioned no such action in the main body of my post.
Are you seriously bringing this up? Nobody should hit each other plain and simple. Forget about morals people just do what is right try avoiding violence as much as you can.
There is this thing in everyone’s head that makes them know what is right and what is wrong use it and the world will be a better place.

You keep using that word....I do not think it means what you THINK it means.
