Was your nation ever part of another nation?

For over 600 years, we were part of Britishmancestria (United Kingdom UK1), but we split from them in the 1950s, and gained full independence in 1960. Now, in July 2011, we may become part of the Britishmancestrian Territorial Region once again.

Has your nation ever been a part of any other nation, or ruled by another nation, at any point in your history, and as such were there wars of independence, treaties etc. on this?

Ours is going through this right now, but with no war whatsoever.

we used to be part of the Kingdom of the Branriech until we overthrew them about 100 years ago

We were part of the oppresive nation of Old Pokarnia until a revolution started and we broke away from it.

The individual city-states that make up Tsvarchi were once independent, but otherwise no, Tsvarchi has never been a part of another country.

Much of what is now Stolitland was once owned by the nation of Oerima. The land was taken without bloodshed, although it was taken under severe economic duress.

Technically, no. Our predecessors had different ideas on how other planets were to be used than the companies that employed us, but we never, as a nation, were part of another country, especially since the venture was multinational to begin with.

From the 1050s A.C.E. to 1517 A.C.E., Arizona Nova was part of the Federal Republic, and later, Empire, of Ilë Sornë, a union of our nation and Arenumberg. Arizona Nova split back off again at the conclusion of the Imperiatus War, with its own federal government remaining imploded until 2099.

This was done as a standing, in-game arrangement as well, between two active players.

Not really... Then again, our founder was a Roman general, so maybe we were once part of the Western Roman Empire.

That is, until Voltei made himself the King of the Sovereign Land of Voltei.

The Raven corporation was once owned within the Nation of Kornosia, but after some deals where made Raven corporation became a stateless Multi-National corporation.

We were formerly an oppressed and overlooked species living underground in the Midwestern United States, but following several technological advances and the establishment of a government and military, we moved to the surface, waged war on the dominant species and effectively drove them out of their land (with the exception of those used for labor, food, and so forth) and claimed the territory as our own.

No. There used to be many nations on our planet, but they were all united more or less peacefully about 500 years ago, into what galactics call the Matriarchy of New Lyrane.

Yes, Romalae was once part of the Tiermican Empire, until it fought for independence, and achieved it.

There was a violent war of independence from Llocsirdia regarding differences in ideologies that are too vague and over a multitude of petty issues that are hard to describe in this post. Anyways the war was about 60 years ago, and friendly relations with Llocsirdia and its territories now ensues. Although talks are happening of a possible reunifacation now that the nations have now resolved its tention and its ideologies have grown more similar.

Settlers came to settle the Island of Chriotia and met the natives. They took the settlers technology and used it to rule over the entire island. This lasted for 300 years and then the rebellion freed the island. In 1254 the island was renamed Winter Brault. The Chriotians lived in a small portion of the east side of the island on the coast. They were driven out by the late King Wrynn in 1353 and went by boat across the Vast Ocean and were not seen again for 500 years when they negotiated peace with Winter Brault. Today, the year 2412 we live a good modern peaceful life.

The core territory used to belong to the Saurorean Republic, though they were overthrown by the Dinosaur Revolution 400 years ago.

Where do I begin....our tiny group of islands were first discovered in the early 1500s by the Portuguese. Eventually it was partitioned between the Spanish, French and British Empires under the Treaty of La Vallée. Over the course of several hundred years it became completely under the control of France. With the Spanish leaving in 1797, the British giving their small group of islands to France in 1902. Calofas finally became independent in 1980, at the same time as many other Caribbean Island Nations.
