The HAD HT-01 Vycd Muytan (Fast Mover) was developed to meet the requirements of the Ministry of Defense, notably, the payload requirement of 27.2 metric tons. These requirements are for a 120 ton take-off weight (240,000 lb 108.8 metric tonnes), since the Haruspex Aero Legions needed to land the transport on short runways (i.e. Runic Aerodome—900 m). With a runway of 2300m and at maximum take off weight of about 141 tons (282,000 lb 127.9 metric tonnes), the aircraft will be able to carry a maximum of 37.6 tons (75,200 lb 34.1 metric tonnes). It also has a maximum range of 6,500 km (without payload).
The aircraft also has notable flight performances that will make it fly on commercial airliner routes. Past aircraft like the rebadged An-124's in service were not capable of this, and Haruspex had troubles sending its own on forces on foreign missions because of such.
The HAD HT-01 'Vycd Muytan' has a new tactical flight management system which assists the pilot at low level flight. The aircraft is also equipped with an automatic load on/off system in the cargo bay. Air refueling systems and night vision are also incorporated.
Air-to-Air Refueling
* A two-point trailing drogue system can be installed within two hours by fitting two standard air-to-air refueling pods (optional) to the multi-role attachment points on the wings. Each pod provides a fuel flow of up to 1.200kg/min.
* A centre-line pallet-mounted hose drum unit can be fitted in the rear cargo bay. It provides a fuel flow of 1.800kg/min.
