Temperatures In the southern plains (Saigon and the Mekong Delta) varies less, going between 21 and 28 °C (70 and 82.5 °F) over the course of a year. In the past, the Vietnam Empire was agriculturally relied on wet rice, but due to the Vietnam War, it's farms and pastures was destroyed and made the soiled unusable. However, other countries helped the VE to recover the farm lands, as a result of all those land reforms, the VE is a large producer in cashew nuts, black pepper, rice, coffee, teas, rubber, and fish. VE are still trying to find other goods to import. VE is currently testing out on toys, bananas, and others.

Empires of Vietnam (Dynasties)

The area now known as Vietnam has been inhabited since Paleolithic times, and some archaeological sites in Thanh Hoa Province purportedly date back several thousand years. Archaeologists link the beginnings of Vietnamese civilization to the late Neolithic, Early Bronze Age, Phung-nguyen culture, which was centered in Vinh Phuc Province of contemporary Vietnam from about 2000 to 1400 BCE. By about 1200 BCE, the development of wet-rice cultivation and bronze casting in the Ma River and Red River plains led to the development of the Dong Son culture, notable for its elaborate bronze drums. The bronze weapons, tools, and drums of Dongsonian sites show a Southeast Asian influence that indicates an indigenous origin for the bronze-casting technology. Many small, ancient copper mine sites have been found in northern Vietnam. Some of the similarities between the Dong Sonian sites and other Southeast Asian sites include the presence of boat-shaped coffins and burial jars, stilt dwellings, and evidence of the customs of betel-nut-chewing and teeth-blackening.

The legendary Hồng Bàng Dynasty of the Hùng kings is considered by many Vietnamese as the first Vietnamese state, known as Văn Lang. In 257 BCE, the last Hùng king lost to Thục Phán, who consolidated the Lạc Việt tribes with his Âu Việt tribes, forming Âu Lạc and proclaiming himself An Dương Vương. In 207 BCE, a Chinese general named Zhao Tuo defeated An Dương Vương and consolidated Âu Lạc into Nanyue. In 111 BCE, the Chinese Han Dynasty consolidated Nanyue into their empire.

For the next thousand years, Vietnam was mostly under Chinese rule.[6] Early independence movements such as those of the Trưng Sisters and of Lady Triệu were only briefly successful. It was independent as Vạn Xuân under the Anterior Ly Dynasty between 544 and 602. By the early 10th century, Vietnam had gained autonomy, but not independence, under the Khúc family.

In 938 CE, a Vietnamese lord named Ngô Quyền defeated Chinese forces at the Bạch Đằng River and regained independence after 10 centuries under Chinese control.[7] Renamed as Đại Việt, the nation went through a golden era during the Lý and Trần Dynasties. During the rule of the Trần Dynasty, Đại Việt repelled three Mongol invasions.[8] Buddhism flourished and became the state religion. Following the brief Hồ Dynasty, Vietnamese independence was momentarily interrupted by the Chinese Ming Dynasty, but was restored by Lê Lợi, the founder of the Lê Dynasty. Vietnam reached its zenith in the Lê Dynasty of the 15th century, especially during the reign of Emperor Lê Thánh Tông (1460–1497). Between the 11th and 18th centuries, the Vietnamese expanded southward in a process known as nam tiến (southward expansion).[9] They eventually conquered the kingdom of Champa and part of the Khmer Empire.[10][11]

Towards the end of the Lê Dynasty, civil strife engulfed much of Vietnam. First, the Chinese-supported Mạc Dynasty challenged the Lê Dynasty's power. After the Mạc Dynasty was defeated, the Lê Dynasty was reinstalled, but with no actual power. Power was divided between the Trịnh Lords in the North and the Nguyễn Lords in the South, who engaged in a civil war for more than four decades. During this time, the Nguyễn expanded southern Vietnam into the Mekong Delta, annexing the Champa in the central highlands and the Khmer land in the Mekong. The civil war ended when the Tây Sơn brothers defeated both and established their new dynasty. However, their rule did not last long and they were defeated by the remnants of the Đinh Lords led by Đinh Hoa with the help of the French. Đinh Hoa unified Vietnam, and re-established the Đinh Dynasty (whos Dynasty ended in 980 AD), ruling under the name Đinh Bộ Trứ.

French/British/German Influence -- First Indochina Republic

Vietnam's economy was eroding by series of unproductive on goods between 1850s until the 1865. In the 1865, the Empire of Vietnam was encountered by France. France clearly see the problems with the economy Vietnam was facing. Both governments are talking and negotiating of how to resolve the issue. The French administration suggest that Vietnam should be a colony and a commonwealth to France with no restriction of Vietnam's gov't, with it, France's economy will boost Vietnam's, and prepare Vietnam for the future technology. A Western-style system of modern education was developed, and Christianity was propagated widely in Vietnamese society. Developing a plantation economy to promote the exports of tobacco, indigo, tea and coffee, the French was surprise of how Vietnam was improving. French maintained control of their colonies, including Vietnam until World War II, when the Japanese war in the Pacific triggered the invasion of French Indochina in 1941. This event was preceded by the establishment of the Vichy French administration, a puppet state of Nazi Germany then ally of the Japanese Empire. The natural resources of Vietnam were exploited for the purposes of the Japanese Empire's military campaigns into the British Indochinese colonies of Burma, the Malay Peninsula and India. However, the Vietnamese people took down the Vichy French administration and tries to reinstate the French gov't in Vietnam. The Vietnamese has to defend themselves from the Japanese Empire with no help of the ruined French Gov't in Europe. They were able to prevent the Japanese takeover and divert them to a more serious issue, the US.

After the WWII, Vietnam helped the French gov't to reestablish control. However, issues arrived when four people wants independence from France. Phan Boi Chau, Phan Chu Trinh, Phan Dinh Phung, and Ho Chi Minh calling for independence. Emperor Đinh Bội Tông denounced them, however, it went worse, the four men starting to make riots, so severe the Emperor has to flee to Southern Vietnam.
The future of Vietnam went into darkness...as the four men tries to promote Communist Ideals in Northern Vietnam; Maoism, Leninism, Stalinist... and others.

The Vietan military is divided into the Vietan Army, Vietan Navy, and the Vietan Air Force. There are other military branches that works under the main three branches of the Vietan Armed Forces. However, there is one arms of service that is currently in the making, Vietnam Imperial Space Command, due to the technological breakthrough which remains classified to the public. In 2020, the military had (add # of personnel of active duty and reserves). In 2005, parliament has passed a law that all male citizens between the age of 18-30 are drafted for two years of service in the Armed Forces.

The Vietnam Empire do have nuclear weapons in its stockpile, however, it is only to be used as a last resort or as an HEMP. The Armed Forces is among the modernized armed forces in the world.

The government of the Vietnam Empire has acquired license to produce weapons of their choosing from several arms industry from other countries. Currently, the country do not have its own arms industry, however, that may change if there was a technological breakthrough from the National Academy of Science in the topic of direct-energy weaponry and quantum physics in weaponry.

The Vietan government's military defense spending is about 11 trillion Vietnamese dong which is used for upgrades, new equipment, and military supplies.

The administrative division is made up of 24 Federal States with 1 Federal District, which is the Capitol, where the main government resides. Also, there are 4 protected Royal district which is where the monarchy/kingdom resides, where it is still recognized but no government role. In the 4 protected Royal district, each district is linked to the former Kingdom before the colonization/creation of the Indochina Republic and the reason for it still being recognized is based on cultural reasons. The first district is linked to the Empire of Vietnam, the second is linked to the Kingdom of Siam (Thailand), the third is linked to the Kingdom of Lao, and the last is linked to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The district is no bigger than 8 football (soccer) stadiums.

The 24 Federal States have its own representative to Parliament, where they are elected by the people in the receptive state they reside to. Each Federal State contains 12 Senators and 20 House of Representatives. However, the Federal District and the Royal District do no have its own representatives. Due to the large number of representatives on the ballot, elections occurs bi-yearly for each half. As in, 6 Senators and 10 House of Reps. will be chosen at one date and the rest will be elected at another date.

This gives the Parliament of the Vietnam Empire a total of 288 Senators and 480 House of Representatives.

The Green Party of Vietnam Empire, a major well-respected party in the Vietnam Empire government, founded in the 1970s by Hung Nguyen and Jean-Claude Vu and currently have roughly 40,000 registered members as of 2015.

The party was founded on August 3, 1970 by Jean-Claude Nguyen, who became its first chairman and run with 10 other. Nguyen ran for election to National Assembly in the 1974 federal election. The party achieved major political party status in the 1978 federal election with more than 75 candidates for the National Assembly. The party sees itself as the Peoples' Party in 1982, however, it was under scrunity for money slaundering and corruption and it was later merge itself with the Consitution Party (CON) to create a new political party called the New Civil Movement Party (NCMP) in the 1980s. Within 20 years, both policies of each party was contradicting one another that it was hindering their image as a party and it was falling apart that forces many key figures of the party decided to renounce the Peoples' Libertarian Party in 2000. The party's image was currently not well respected as its policies are vague and that many citizens of the VE and opposing policians sees the party supporting anarchy.

The policies of the Peoples' Libertarian Party of Vietnam Empire are a hybrid of left-wing social policies and right-wing economics.

Culture

Vietnam Empire is an agricultural civilization based on wet rice cultivation with ancient Dong Son culture as one of its defining aspects. The major stimulation of Vietnamese culture's development comes from indigenous factors, with Chinese and Indian influence serving to further enrich it. Through history, Cham culture and the cultures of other minority ethnic groups in Vietnam have been integrated with Vietnamese culture in correlated effects.

In the socialist era, the cultural life of Vietnam has been deeply influenced by government-controlled media and the cultural influences of socialist programs, especially the North Vietnam. For many decades, foreign cultural influences were shunned from North Vietnam and emphasis placed on appreciating and sharing the culture of communist nations such as the Soviet Union, China, Cuba and others. However after North Vietnam has fallen, it as re-exposed to the Southeast Asian, European and American culture and media, from South Vietnam.

One of the most popular Vietnamese traditional garments is the "Áo Dài", worn often for special occasions such as weddings or festivals. White Áo dài is the required uniform for girls in many high schools across Vietnam. Áo Dài was once worn by both genders but today it is worn mainly by females, except for certain important traditional culture-related occasions where some men do wear it.

Vietnamese cuisine uses very little oil and many vegetables. The main dishes are often based on rice, soy sauce, and fish sauce. Its characteristic flavors are sweet (sugar), spicy (serrano peppers), sour (lime), nuoc mam (fish sauce), and flavored by a variety of mint and basil.

Vietnamese music varies slightly in the three regions: Bắc or North, Trung or Central, and Nam or South. Northern classical music is Vietnam's oldest and is traditionally more formal. Vietnamese classical music can be traced to the Mongol invasions, when the Vietnamese captured a Chinese opera troupe. Central classical music shows the influences of Champa culture with its melancholic melodies. Southern music exudes a lively attitude. It also has now being more influenced by Classical music from Europe, such as composer Beethoven and Mozart.

Among countless other traditional Vietnamese occasions, the traditional Vietnamese wedding is one of the most important. Many of the age-old customs in a Vietnamese wedding continue to be celebrated by both Vietnamese in Vietnam and overseas, often combining both western and eastern elements.

Tourism

Vietnam's number of visitors for tourism and vacation has increased steadily over the past thirty years. About 10.56 million international guests visited Vietnam in 2000, an increase of 9.7% from 1990. The country is investing capital into the coastal regions that are already popular for their stunning beaches and boat tours. Hotel staff and tourism guides in these regions speak a good amount of English.
