Universal Broadcasting Union
The Universal Broadcasting Union (UBU) is currently an internationally expanding and ambitious project to bring together the broadcasting companies of the NS World to increase global cooperation between broadcasters of both television and radio. Member organisations are not required to sacrifice any independence to the UBU as joining the organisation does not involve any change to company ownership. The board invites you to read the below information and submit an application.

Aims
Below are the official aims of the Universal Broadcasting Union...
1. Encourage active collaboration between members on the basis that they can freely share their knowledge and experience, giving members the opportunity to achieve considerably more than they could achieve by themselves.
2. Provide funding to members (acting as the national broadcasting company) that have not yet started a nationwide switchover from analogue to digital TV transmissions.
3. Establishing common agreements on popular global/regional events that will be broadcast live by all members.
4. Easier international public access to news and shows offered by members, with the secondary aim of increasing the popularity of member broadcasters abroad.
Membership requirements
1. Your company must be a broadcaster of either television, radio or both.
2. Your company DOES NOT have to be a national/state-owned broadcaster to join.
3. Willing to broadcast certain international events on at least one channel operated by your company.
4. No more than 5 broadcasters per country (submit an application for each).
5. Individual channels/stations, operating brands and overseas divisions of broadcasters will not be admitted as separate members
Other
1. Showing membership of the UBU in either your signature or broadcaster storefront is recommended but NOT compulsory.
2. There is no annual fee for joining the NSBU as it is a publicly funded organisation.
3. Members are not bound to the UBU and may choose to leave at any time.
4. While the organisation is based in Kington Langley, we encourage international participation by member broadcasters.
5. As this is a simple organisation, members are not required to make any posts/contributions other than a membership application.
