1. All Embassy personnel carry M1911A1 pistols for self-defense. Guards carry Para-Ordnance (or other high-capacity) models in addition to their own long arms.
2. At least one member of the Security Detail is a sharpshooter armed with the M21 EBR (M39 EMR if the sharpshooter is from the Marine Corps).
