Applying to Judea is simple and easy. All that is required is that you fill out the form below with as much details as possible to help us adequately vote on your application. After you fill out the application, just merely post it here and we will start evaluating the application. The application process takes five days, the twenty-four hours after you submit the application there will be a review period, we will want to get to know you, chat with you, skim through your posts. Additionally, an interview on the IRC may be conducted before voting. After that period, voting will begin and last for a duration of four days. You'll need to achieve at least a majority of the current active memberbase to secure acceptance. If not, you are allowed to reapply as many times as you desire after a two-week period. But please note, acceptance is tough, and do not be discouraged if you are denied.

To everyone, applying or not, we highly recommend that you visit our IRC (#Judea at Esper.net) to get to know us and chat with us, about basically everything. If you are applying to Judea, it is almost necessary to be on the IRC frequently to get accepted.

The Valexan Confederation is a vast nation, populated by two unique, albeit blended cultures. The eastern third of the country is populated primarily by the Velké Mutoh (Caianese Phonetic: Wǔténg Dà) In the western portions of the country, the predominant ethnic group is the Němec Mareka (Caianese Phonetic: Nèi Méi Kè Mǎ Léi Kè), a Slavic ethnolinguistic subset. Originally bitter enemies, the past century and a half has seen the two cultures blend into a multiracial bastion of cuisine, linguistics, arts, and religion. Despite a richness and diversity of heritage in the arts and sciences, the Valexan people have known War more than any other human endeavor, and it has tainted the culture with its unholy destructive power. From the most civilized of the nation to the most vulgar and backwards, warfare is the strongest common bond that ties the various city-states together. The Valexan Culture is a Warrior Culture, with the various city-states maintaining strong links to one another while also fostering individual identities that make each denizen of the country unique from those of other locales.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Valexa is a vast nation, rich in natural resources and manpower. With the nation's long, sordid history with military conflict (both domestically and abroad), the country is well-equipped to wage total war on regional and extra-regional threats. The country maintains a staunch rich-poor divide, with the most affluent city-states of Valexa possessing marvels of modern technology and unimaginable wealth, while the poorest states demonstrate an inhospitable brutality and coldness that makes traveling there dangerous for outsiders. Despite its size, however, Valexa's greatest weakness is its fragmented society. Though Valexan Culture is distinguishable throughout the country, most denizens identify regionally, rather than nationally. As such, the nation's importance in international affairs is often relegated only to warfare and economic conquest, making it a very poor diplomatic partner. Also, though such occurrences are rare in the modern day, there exists no formal code of honor between the various city-states. In the past (as recently as the 1960s), city-states have gone to war with other regions of Valexa for political conquest.

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
Despite our fragmented society and the large rich-poor divide, Valexa is an incredible ally to have in crunch time. Our economy is one of the most vibrant in the world, with a GDP of well over $700 Trillion U.S.D. Our entire culture is predicated on learning and mastering the art of war, making us an indispensable military asset in warfare. And our size and culture could serve as a bastion of learning and regional harmony, should other regional powers endear themselves to the Valexan Confederacy.

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?
I've been in Judea before with my original nation, New Azura, and have always held an affinity for the nations of the region. I spoke with Solm several weeks back about the nature of Judea and its position in the NationStates Community, and I want to help contribute to the awesome upward movement that this region has undertaken in the past month.

V. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?
In general, there exists no IC relationships between Valexa and the nations of Judea. However, OOCly I'm great friends with many of the Judean nations, including Solm, Ewa Beach, Tergnitz, Ustio North, Ostronopolis, Hobit and Anagonia-Yohannes, among others.

Mainly riots and protests have been witnessed as a result of this, although violence has indeed gotten somewhat out of control. More details to come...

I. Describe your nation (the people, the customs, the culture, etc.).
The People of Vortim are weak, frightened, godless. They live in fear of the government, they have no lives away from the government. They are constantly under watch, there is no place to hide. The manifestation of the government's overshadowing nature is something that has been known to vary from time to time. The results of this pervasive nature are quite obvious on the people, many who have been alienated almost entirely. Children grow up with the knowledge that they have been bugged at birth, there location is constantly accessible by the overwatchers. This is The Nature of Vortim's Existence.

The people are puppets, the government is the puppetmaster of the people. The people do not worship, they simply divulge in their everyday business with no prospects of them examining the possible existence of a higher power. They do nothing but eat, sleep, work, and have secks with big booty bitches. Life is a drag, and people live for nothing but the sake of living.

I like Judea. Also, I'd like to develop an alternate nation in a Judean environment, mainly with the goal of developing some cool stuff out of Vortim and whatnot.

I stalk Sensal and Minnysota irl. I have a mancrush on Solm, and I'm pretty sure The West Coast is my long lost step-father. Alahastra is an image god, whom I worship everyday before brunch, and Trescott is of the god's kin, thus I worship him as well. Tergnitz is my favorite Judean though, because Tergnitz is godlier than god, thus I worship him too. I love Judeans. <3

Keppea:
The Republic of the People of Huntertopia is a massive, socially progressive nation, ruled by President David Walls with a fair hand, and remarkable for its anti-smoking policies. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, intelligent population of 3.677 billion are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Defence, Law & Order, and Education. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kepp. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 85%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing, Tourism, and Arms Manufacturing industries.

Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Huntertopia's national animal is the tiger, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Roman Catholicism, and its currency is the uorne.

Keppea can be described as a social isolationist. The people are friendly and welcome foreigners with open arms, but hardly has any interest in international politics. If you don't touch us, we won't be forced to punch you. Keppea has gotten an infamous reputation of being an aggressor and starting wars it cannot finish. In his election campaign, David Walls says, "We have become a laughingstock in the eyes of the world. Wars, aggression, infamy. Ming Wei Feng has destroyed our national honor. I will restore it." David Walls won by a landslide.

Neo Keppea:
The Colony of Neo Keppea is a very large, economically powerful nation, renowned for its complete lack of public education. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 154 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The minute, corrupt, moralistic government, or what there is of one, juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Commerce, and Defence. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 11%. A substantial private sector is led by the Automobile Manufacturing industry, followed by Basket Weaving and Trout Farming.

Crime is a problem. Neo Keppea's national animal is the Keppean Lion, and its currency is the xarro.

Many allies, strong economy, strong army, and I believe that I can restore Judea as a large world power.

I. Describe your nation (the people, the customs, the culture, etc.).
Deshia is a Christian kingdom, in a Middle eastern-esque environment. The people are mostly Eastern Orthodox, but the largest minority is Sunni Islam.
Deshians are a strongly traditional people that hold strongly to their beliefs. Although there are still tribal governments, the nation is under the firm grasp of King Alexius X, who although an absolute monarch, is mostly benevolent. The largest holiday other than Christmas is probably Royal Sovereign Day, which the current monarch rides on a steed throughout Desh City handing out red packages filled with candy and containing a copy of the nation's anthem and motto.
The ethnic makeup of the nation is very complicated. It is believed that the Deshian people originated on the island known to historians as Broken Clay Atoll, where they were exiled by the Pagans because of their Jewish faith. Whenever the Messiah arrived, they were among the first to convert. However at this point in time, they were wandering nomads. They needed a homeland. Nearly a decade later, the Deshians, named only after the Latin like language they spoke, conquered small villages controlled by A nation known as the Norhiva Khanate. Years passed and Deshia expanded into a fully fledged Kingdom, not just a confederation of villages. Soon, the skirmishing Norhivans were simply overtaken by the now well equipped and trained warriors of Deshia. With complex strategies and skilled spearmen infantry, the Deshians soon defeated their Arab enemies, winning swathes of land and converts in the process.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Deshia is large, oil-rich, and fertile along the riverbeds, it has every resource a country needs to function on its own except for metals. The country's people are radically devoted to the monarch. However, Deshia suffers from illegal immigration, Islamic terrorism, and a religously divided population. As mentioned, it is completely devoid of allmetallic ores, and its only minable resources are sulfer, oil, and natural gas.

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
I believe that Deshia's oil rich state will help lower energy prices as well as provide a strong economic and military ally.
IV. Why do you want to join Judea?
It seems to be a very well functioning and active region community.

- Current International Conflicts: The is a slight friction between Celis and the Coalition of Christian Communities. There was a declaration of war forwarded by Celis but nothing has actually come of it at this time.
- Current Domestic Military Conflicts: There was a small uprising by a human group known as the white rose, it consisted of a small group of humans and several Daius benefactors. It was quickly crushed.

I. Describe your nation (the people, the customs, the culture, etc.).
My nation consists mostly of the race known as the Daius, they originated from Deus and information can be found in her factbook on the race. The other portion of the populace consists of humans. The Daius and the humans go about their daily lives in relative comfort, but it is obvious that humans are in fact second class citizens in Celis. Though they have much of the same rights as the Daius, they are allowed limited positions in government and higher end jobs. Humans are mostly hired as menial workers and naval combatants due to the Daius' fear of the sea. While some are not happy with this role the majority are content to live out their lives under their Daius overlords. On the other hand even though there is a status quo, many Daius don't look down on their human brotheren but see them as equals. Lately there has been a push for more equality among humans and Daius, although nothing major has came of it.

Celisians are known for many things.. Some Celisians observe the old code of Chivalry, upholding the creed of honour and the life of a gentlemen. While others see the world more as a place to grab power, and so they thirst for it ever wanting more. This diversity leads to an interesting mix in government and military positions on certain issues. While this has led to problems in the past it is seen better for the nation to be well rounded. Though the Grand Duke is in fact the absolute monarch, he is recognized for balancing what the people wish of him and what is best. Many Celisians are loyal and hard working despite their view points, and would live and die for their king.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Celis sees itself as a big brother nation and has been involved in several small conflicts due to this view. The Duke believes that he should help those that are weaker than himself, or those that may share a likeness in ideology. He also has a soft spot for the underdog, and may ignore the difference of ideology should a small nation come under attack. During the Gearrian Civil War he was seen defending the Monarchist faction, so that he might spread the influence of monarchies throughout the world. This soft spot for smaller nations and the protection of others could be seen as both a strength and a weakness. Due to the fact that not only could it get Celis into trouble, but it could also give the country a good reputation in the international community. A large portion of funds go into both the Military and Law Enforcement budgets, and military strength is considers to be a must in the country. Celis is a mountainous country and has little or no area to grow large amounts of crops. This has led to the Celisians importing things such as wheat and other crops, while amassing a large beef and pork industry.

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
I'm a decent roleplayer and I see myself as a friendly enough individual. Celis is a good country with nice ideologies and a decent military to back them. I also know several of the other people present in the region, and many of them are part of the CIN. Which is what interested me in this nation at first, before I thought about it and realized the quality of such a region. I feel like I would be a good addition and would do my best to add more spice to the regional community.

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?
There are some great roleplayers in the region, and many of them are part of CIN. I enjoy roleplaying both in the military and diplomatic spectrum, and I feel like I would have a great time doing such things in Judea. It also has a decent reputation in the NS community for good Rp, and I wouldn't mind being affiliated with such a thing.

Gratislavia is an ancient nation with ancient roots, coming about in the year one thousand nine hundred BC. the earliest people of Gratislavia were little more than unified tribals living in large dwellings they ordained "cities." This period continued for some time which gives the natives an instinctive war like drive and culture. Demographics are divided between Nordic, Germanic, and Slavic; however all these are considered "Gratislavian." Most customs revolve around religion being Roman Catholicism but several Germanic customs have also taken hold among the people of the nation. There also is an unholy devotion to the Kaiser among the nation, which at times is believed derived from Slavic customs of blood bondage and loyalty to their superior.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Gratislavia is an economic power house, with a military not far behind. Expanding across the globe the nation is known as Imperialist and highly aggressive, while of course being loyal to her allies. This however often get's the Imperium into trouble as the nation's leaders do not excel at peaceful diplomacy for that most part; which is understandable.

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
I've been a member of Judea before and I've always done my best to do what is right for the Sanctum and I hope to do that again if I am able to secure re-admittance to the region.

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?
Judea was one of the first regions I have entered, or even took part in for that matter. For the longest time I enjoyed Judea and did my best to secure it's place and make it better. However when given the opportunity I decided to join Gholgoth, a choice I must admit I regret. Now however I wish to bring Gratislavia back to it's home, and if all goes well establish it as it once was; with strength dignity and power among it's Judean neighbors and friends.

They are for the most part cordial with a few friendships here and their ICly, OCCly close for the most part.

Most Fijians are of islander descent, but due to an influx of immigrants there is growing number of Americans and Europeans. Fijian customs depend on the area and tribe that inhabits said area. They tend to follow the basic tropical islander tribal customs and culture with influences from America and Europe. Due to regime change and increased immigration along with social and economic reform, the culture is rapidly becoming more Westernized, nationalistic, and capitalist.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
New Fiji prides itself in being geographically blessed with a tropical climate, breath-taking terrain, and natural beauty. These things have attracted multitudes of tourists from all over the world. Those things also encourage immigrants to become citizens of New Fiji. This immigration and tourism has brought economic strength to the country. Due to recent environmental reform, we've been able to tap into some of the raw resources that can be found throughout New Fiji. Years of military rule has allowed the New Fijian Armed Forces, which is admittedly small in comparison to several nations, to progress and develop technologically and strategically into an efficient fighting force.

Pride in the country's environment is still restricting the government and several companies' moves to exploit the country's natural resources. A tribal society and culture that has been preserved for centuries is threatening the recent urbanization and industrialization. The recent rapid population growth is quickly overwhelming the agricultural industry and job market. Even once-small villages are becoming too cramped but are too poor to expand themselves. The government has been forced to take drastic measures such as the rationing of food and the controversial child tax.

New Fiji sees itself as a perfect match for Judea due to its diversity and current standing in the world. Judea is becoming a prominent international entity and several of its members have strong influences across the globe. New Fiji intends to one day become a respected and powerful nation in the world. We believe being a member of the Judean realm could only aid and further such an endeavor. As a tourist attraction and such a large amount of immigrants, we can add an exponential amount of diversity in the region's culture. As relationships develop and economy begins to grow, New Fiji can become a center for cultural exchange. As several reforms begin to take effect we are sure to enter an economic boom which will definately strengthen the regional economy. Even though our military is small, its leadership can offer genuine and effective strategic and tactical advice for almost any situation.
OOC-I am very active OOCly and on the IRC, even on the Judean one despite not being a member. I believe heavily in developing a story through RPing. I will eagerly participate in any RP that the region as a whole to develop whatever story it may have. I believe the very nature of how I will develop the New Fijian Utopia will be able to spice things up in any Judean RP.

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?
After several investigations into the possibilty of joining Judea and the possible events that may occur afterwards, the Office of Foreign Affairs and the Magistrate of Foreign Affairs have decided joining Judea could only be beneficial to New Fiji and its people. As we have already stated, we believe becoming a member-state of Judea will aid us in our endeavors and goals. Thus, it wouldn't be wise to not take such an open oppurtunity to advance our nation exponentially.
OOC-I've been exploring the idea of having one of my nations joining Judea for some time now. I considered placing my main, Aldarminia, in the region, but due to several reasons I found that doing so would not fit with what I've made of Aldarminia so far. So, instead, I've decided to apply to enter my new co-main nation, New Fiji, which fits Judea almost perfectly. I also like the atmosphere and close-knit community that Judea offers. Unlike many regions, it seems to be becoming more active and more prominent, which is pleasing to see. Besides those things, I consider myself to be a friend of some of the members, and I'd like to meet more people like them and also further those other friendships. I also believe the RPing nature of Judea will help improve my RPing skill and writing.

V. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?
New Fiji has maintained a semi-isolation from the world for the last few decades with a few exceptions, especially when it came to tourism. For this reason, the Office of Foreign Affairs and the Magistrate of Foreign Affairs can only confirm that New Fiji currently has neutral diplomatic ties with each and every member-state of Judea. We are sure, though, if permitted entry into Judea, that the statuses of these diplomatic ties and relationships will almost immediately change and develop. We cannot assure, though, that all of these ties will develop positively.
OOC-I have, via IRC, developing, strong, friendly ties with several members of Judea such as Solm, Alahastra, Yohannes, Gratislavia, etc. These relationships can only grow stronger with an entry into Judea, and I'm sure more relationships with my fellow Judeans can only grow and prosper.

Albrante is a proud and historic nation, capitalizing on its tradition of seafaring or trade in to form a robust and powerful economy. Albrantean citizens are fiercely conservative, independent and demonstrate ingenuity and a can do attitude. Whilst on the outside they seem cynical Albranteans have immense determination and stubbornness, seldom giving up a challenge easily.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Our main strength is our extremely powerful economy, we can also be self-sufficient in terms production and boast a small but elite military. Our small size can however be a liability and it is well known we have a large bureaucracy choked government.

Albrante can contribute to Judea as it once did.

We are fiercely territorial and take any threat seriously, especially if one makes it too close to our borders. Response is total and exaggerate beyond the threat. We take care of our friends and family and leave our enemies in Hell. The greatest disrespect to be show to a Tecknokian is to be ingnored. Manners are everything in this society and we hold our officials to a high standard. A soldier can never ever give up his weapon unless he has been captured and there is no way out.

I believe that I can further increase my skills with the talent in Judea to match their own and to make myself and thus the region better as a whole because I can devote myself to Judea unlike simple alliances. I also have seen how tight-knit the community is and I wish to join that for I have seen how great Judea is. We also have stong ideals of protection of friends and family with proud armed forces that can do just that if needed. And to make that 30 go to a 31 for member nations

To increase my own skills and join a close community where the OoC relations can be funny and hypocritical but everyone will stand up for each other.

The nation was founded on April 15th, 1956, after a two year long war between the largely secular nation of Grand Island and the conservative, highly religious nation of Bella Island ended with a Grand Island victory. The nations officially unified on the 16th, and since then, Bellganamos has flourished as a modern nation dedicated to the establishment of democracy, the application of justice and upbringing of rights and equality for people around the world. Internationally, Bellganamos is a member of the World Assembly, the Unified Coalition of Sovereign States, the Ryberg Institute of Mutual Trade and Incursus.

Bellganamos is not a economic or military powerhouse, but does have qualities that make it unique from other nations. For one, Bellganamos has a strong international presence as it is a member of several important global organizations. Secondly, Bellganamosians are a tolerant, kind and extremely welcoming people. Lastly, Bellganamos is a true democratic country; Special interest groups and corporations do not dominate the government like they do in some democratic nations nowadays. Bellganamos truly is a nation ruled by the people. Despite its small size, the Bellganamosian military is well-equipped, well-trained, and well-funded, with advanced military technologies from domestic suppliers and from foreign armament manufactuers, including Lyran Arms and VMK AG. The Bellganamosian government primarily focuses on providing human services for its people, law and order, defense and preservation of the environment.

To improve my roleplaying skills, bond with a community and meet new friends!

Yohannes: He's probably one of the first people I've actually talked to on this site. He's been extremely friendly and generous to me, and we get along well. We also like tanks, which I suppose is a good thing.

New Armarzia consists of a proud and religious population. The average citizen has a sense of duty to both nation and their culture which occasionally causes conflicts between the two. The nation has a fairly strong economy and military. New Armarzia is also lucky not to deal with the problems brought about by multiple political parties. The biggest problem for New Armarzia internally is the five families, each one holds a large amount of money and power in the nation. The families occasionally bring corruption at the lower levels of government, but the higher levels and thankfully not given into the families.

The people of the Empire values it's civil and political freedoms. They use protests to make legislation go away or make it come to fruition. If you ask the people of the Empire, they will say we have no real weaknesses. Although the hardheadedness of the citizenry of the Empire could be seen as a weakness. The strengths of the Empire are our Economy and our strong Armed Forces.

Almost all of government departments are renowned for their bureaucratic pace, with the sole exception being the Ministry of Education. Institutional education is considered a cultural necessity, even low/no-income families have government grants for education.

Strengths: Currently has a strong inflow of money from foreign investments.
Military is size-able.
Many raw materials.
Weakness: Dependant on imported energy.
Military is composed of large sections of conscripts, mostly drop-outs and penal attachments.

In brief, the Mian culture is very much based on the principles of honour and loyalty – loyalty to prince and to king. A very militaristic society, the greatest honour for a citizen of the Most Serene Republic is to join the ranks of one of the armed forces: the AMSR (Army of the Most Serene Republic), the MSN (Most Serene Navy)and the MSAF (Most Serene Airforce). Dying in battle is also considered a great honour, which may explain the sometimes reckless nature of Mian soldiers in battle.

Whilst a hard, sometimes quick to anger people, the Mians value the bond of friendship almost above all else – if you manage to befriend an Mian you will have a friend for life. Indeed, this is reflected in the Most Serene Republic's long and illustrious military history. Many of the conflicts we have been involved in have actually arisen at the behest of an ally, be they the belligerent party or not.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?

The Most Serene Republic is, as stated above, a very militaristic nation. Therefore, she has the ability to wield a very capable military. The pride of the nation, however, is the Most Serene Navy, which gives the nation the ability to project it's power around the globe.

The extremely strong economy is the main priority of the reasonably small government. The Most Serene Republic is especially known for it's manufacturing ability – with armaments being the main export for the nation. A moderate agricultural sector provides around ninety-four percent of it's required food products, leaving only six percent to be imported from abroad. Lesser, but still important, industries within the Master M include mining both precious and non-precious materials, natural gas and oil production and timber production.

Much of the nation is privatized – the government employs a total of 14% of the national working population (and 12.5% of the national working population are employed in one form or another by the armed forces). Whilst this provides great revenue for the government, this can lead to exploitation, especially for the poorer sections of society. With healthcare being completely privatised (and with almost no government regulation) the poorest echelons of society are almost provided no adequate access to hospitals, doctors or dentists (as charity is illegal in the Most Serene Republic).

One interesting aspect of the Most Serene Republic is it's stance on slavery. Slavery is perfectly legal in the Master M (indeed it accounts for 19% of the nation's exports), and heavily regulated by the government. The Most Serene Republic lacks prisons (bar the eleven military prisons dotted around the nation), and all convicted criminals are immediately deemed to have renounced their civil rights and are interred in one of twenty-four processing centres. Within the next two weeks, they are then sold on to either domestic or foreign buyers. The treatment of slaves is heavily restricted, and heavy fines are handed out to those who break the law. Slaves, while treated generally well, are subject to immediate execution if they attempt to escape.

I am a reasonably talented roleplayer, and when motivated to post, can produce a good standard of roleplay. I have had a lot of experience working within large, IC orientated groups, with my current region being the prestigious Gholgoth and my long membership of the formerly active Conglomerate. As I know and like some of the existing members of Judea, I feel that I would be a perfect fit for the region.

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?

Whilst my current region is good (indeed, there are few that can count themselves better than Gholgoth), I have been dispirited at the lack of activity the region has faced. Therefore, I wanted to find a respectable region, with decent roleplayers and a good amount of activity – and my search concluded with Judea.

V. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?
Being an occasional idler in the Judea IRC room, I know quite a few of the region's members. IC interactions are quite limited, bar those I've had in the past with Solm and Ustio.

Most Fijians are of islander descent, but due to an influx of immigrants there is growing number of Americans and Europeans. Fijian customs depend on the area and tribe that inhabits said area. They tend to follow the basic tropical islander tribal customs and culture with influences from America and Europe. Due to regime change and increased immigration along with social and economic reform, the culture is rapidly becoming more Westernized, nationalistic, and capitalist.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
New Fiji prides itself in being geographically blessed with a tropical climate, breath-taking terrain, and natural beauty. These things have attracted multitudes of tourists from all over the world. Those things also encourage immigrants to become citizens of New Fiji. This immigration and tourism has brought economic strength to the country. Due to recent environmental reform, we've been able to tap into some of the raw resources that can be found throughout New Fiji. Years of military rule has allowed the New Fijian Armed Forces, which is admittedly small in comparison to several nations, to progress and develop technologically and strategically into an efficient fighting force.

Pride in the country's environment is still restricting the government and several companies' moves to exploit the country's natural resources. A tribal society and culture that has been preserved for centuries is threatening the recent urbanization and industrialization. The recent rapid population growth is quickly overwhelming the agricultural industry and job market. Even once-small villages are becoming too cramped but are too poor to expand themselves. The government has been forced to take drastic measures such as the rationing of food and the controversial child tax.

I considered placing my main, Aldarminia, in the region, but due to several reasons I found that doing so would not fit with what I've made of Aldarminia so far. So, instead, I've decided to apply to enter my new co-main nation, New Fiji, which fits Judea almost perfectly. I also like the atmosphere and close-knit community that Judea offers. Unlike many regions, it seems to be becoming more active and more prominent, which is pleasing to see. Besides those things, I consider myself to be a friend of some of the members, and I'd like to meet more people like them and also further those other friendships. I also believe the RPing nature of Judea will help improve my RPing skill and writing.

V. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?
New Fiji has maintained a semi-isolation from the world for the last few decades with a few exceptions, especially when it came to tourism. For this reason, the Office of Foreign Affairs and the Magistrate of Foreign Affairs can only confirm that New Fiji currently has neutral diplomatic ties with each and every member-state of Judea. We are sure, though, if permitted entry into Judea, that the statuses of these diplomatic ties and relationships will almost immediately change and develop. We cannot assure, though, that all of these ties will develop positively.
OOC-I have, via IRC, developing, strong, friendly ties with several members of Judea such as Solm, Alahastra, Yohannes, Gratislavia, etc. These relationships can only grow stronger with an entry into Judea, and I'm sure more relationships with my fellow Judeans can only grow and prosper.

The United Empire of Itailia or as her people know her, L'Impero Uniti D'Italia, is a rather new nation when compared to others as the modern conception of it did not exist until 1947 at the conclusion of the War of Unification.
For thousands of years, the eight Maifias that now make up the Empire, Vinci, Corsic, Kalmor, Drakkar, Lorsac, Esrin, Evelin and Gormar were fighting amongst themselves for complete control of all of the islands, with each believing that they could take them and then rule the world. After a brief unification in 1919 and the final one in 1947, the Eight Maifias have come together to form the Empire as it is known today.
The Empire launched itself onto the international scale back in 2003 when it deployed troops to help Noravea in it's war against Maladul. There the Empire's infant forces clashed with the experienced Raludican and Tarsas forces and took heavy losses before ilking out a victory. Since then, the Legions have as some say thrown themselves at the bullet, which the men say is to keep them trained and at their best. Since then, the Empire has participated in more then eight wars up to the turn of the decade, which had it's repercussions on the economy. In 2010, the Empire deployed in the Tropicarno front of May Day and needless to say came out with a very blackened eye after the Hardenburgh Nuclear Crisis.
Following the Resurgence Era, the Empire rose out of the ashes so to speak and to greater heights. It's military aggressiveness was seriously downgraded and instead it focused on the culture of it's people

The people of the Empire are often called or referred to as Aliquam tempus or Children of Time due to their ability to withstand so much and still come back. The culture is heavily Italian influenced with mixes of Latin thrown in to spice things up. The language they speak is known as Vetus Lingua which is a direct version of Latin with Italian thrown in to mix it up. Certain customs are akin to others, such as being friendly and very open with one another and others are not, such as having very long and drawn out meals, dinner's especially due to the discussing of all member's days. The people themselves are a very open people to one another, for example if you go into a neighborhood within the Empire, everyone within the block or cul-de-sac would know each other's full name, their job, their situation at work, their friends and top layer personal information, some might know more depending on their relations.
Weddings are usually a sight to behold as the families spare no expense thanks to the Empire's high rate of living. The average amount of money shelled out on one wedding was estimated to be somewhere around ten to twelve thousand marks, with everything being top of the line. The best flowers of Gormar are ordered, dresses made of smooth and fine silk purchased at high expense from weavers in Tarslin in the south. Needless to say, it's a very open society. Yet at the same time, if a foreigner comes in and starts poking around, the open clam will snap shut faster then you can say paenitet(sorry)
The calendar in the Empire is also a unique one, with it's name being the Pellinar Calendar named after Dr.Gregori Pellinar who first invented the calendar in 2E45. The year format is written as follows. 2E67(current year). 2E means Second Era which started sixty seven years ago as indicated to the left. Era's are only changed with some core changing event. The Second Era started when the United Empire was founded in 1947 and the Third Era would only start with the same or similar event. The months are also unique and are totally different from the Gregorian calendar months and they can be found below with the Gregorian equivalents listed next to them

The days are the same as the Gregorian except that Sun's Dawn has 29 days every year versus 28 in the Gregorian
Religion wise, there are various minorites however one very strong faction shows the most, the Imperial Roman Catholic Church, do which around eighty seven percent of the Empire belongs too and is headed up by the Pope, which is currently Peter II. The other major faction which is merely an outspoken minority, is the Divinity Practice, which believes there are nine gods with each having a specific area of rule and domain. Originally there was Eight but when the former Emperor Mark Da Vinci died, the Divinity Practice claims he ascended and became the Ninth Divine and God of Justice

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
As stated above, the Empire pre 2E63(2010) was a very aggressive state and frequently buried it's nose in other nation's business as some put it and was constantly deploying in wars. On top of this, the Government's aggressive nature rubbed of on it's workers, chiefly it's Foreign Delegates and Ambassadors and as such many military treaties were signed that caught the Empire dragged into wars and many wars were started because an Imperial Delegate insulted another ambassador(Reference Operation Glistening Trident here)
After 2E63, the strengths and weaknesses of the Empire shifted completely and the Empire turned to a more economically focused state with a smaller, yet well trained and more efficient military, as per the Esercito Legione di Atto 2E65, the number of Phalanxes was limited to a total of Nine and the number of Legions per Maifia was limited to eighteen. As such, military numbers dwindled and with it, some of it's funding however in a few months it's leveled and evened out.
The economy did a one eighty one good say, as the Arms Manufacturing, Agricultural and Mineral Mining markets soared as the Età dell'Oro, Golden Age, entered the Empire. The value of the mark rose greatly and surpassed many of it's neighbors currencies, such as when the 1mark=3.12 persos(East Sicilian currency).
Even as it may, the political strife in the Empire adds another weakness onto the pile. Ever since the turn of the century and more specifically the decade and with the rise of the Divinity Practice, democratic supporters and protesters have racked at the political stability of the Empire, however they have usually just been more of a nuisance then anything that the Department of Justice sends a few Home Guard in to deal with. However, many speculate it was these actions that led to the civil war and total breakdown of the Empire that is happening now

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
I'm very good at developing nations and giving advice to people. I may not be the best RPer out there where I am surpassed greatly by alot of people, I am good with spotting what people could use some advice in and then giving it to them. I've helped nations that were once noobs go on to RP better then me even

Also, Judea has alot of quality roleplayers with in them and I've learned from them in the past(ie Solm) and being me, I love learning new things so I would love to have the chance to be in this group of fine people and RPers

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?
That said, I also want to really develop this nation and bring it out more on the II international spotlight. In the past I had a close knit group of friends and all of my RPing was done with them or other friends they introduced to me. Sadly, many of them CTE'd, left or simply branched out and lost alot of time. I began getting involved in alliances and sadly I've had the sad benefit of joining alliances that crumble soon (SEC, WESTCON, CIN to name a few). As such, Judea's been around along time, I've played with you guys before and after observing it for a bit and then realizing alot of my friends are in it, I've decided that I'll attempt to join

V. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?
Minnysota- Close friends that I've known for a long time, we've spent alot of precious hours planning roleplays over telegram and then arguing about them in a OOC thread.
Yohannes- Just met, really nice chap who has practically held my hand while he schooled me on how to design a proper tank. I'd like to consider us at least acquaintances
Solm- Have had a contact here and there since I founded this nation and then ran straight into a Solmian missile in Glistening Trident. ICly, things are frosty but OOCLy he's a great guy I'd love to get to know

The people of Hanngolia are liberal people who are known to overeact and be overly emotional in every circumstance, the Grand Duchess is the ceremonial head of state. It is also believed that in the olden days the monarchy was worshipped although such practice has been baned and Christianity is the state religion.

Our Military is a highly trained force of 140,000 who dedicate themselves to the people of Hanngolia, the navy is a powerful force with 200,000 persons and is a tough and highly trained group of seaman and marines who are also dedicated to the Hanngolian State and the Confederacy, lastly the airforce is a group of 90,000 persons who daily ensure the skies over Hanngolia are safe from harm, this is the weakest branch of the armed forces. Our economy is growing at a fast rate after joining the Confedracy along with Anagonia and Yohannes.

Weakness

Aldarminia has a diverse culture in our eyes. Pan-Aldarminian culture boasts a clear dominance, though. The three main cultures(Alnardic, Aladamian, and Aldarman) each have their own unique backgrounds and traditions but maintain strong similarities that clearly tie them together. Other native Aldarminian cultures such as the Scandinslavics also inhabit the area. Modern Aldarminian culture is influenced by Anglo, German, Nordic, and Slavic cultures. While not keen on calling themselves religious fanatics, religion plays a big part in how Aldarminian society has built itself up today. Ethnic Aldarminians also tend to consider other ethnicities genetically inferior due to the 24th Chromosome Pair known as the Aldarmus Chromosome that most, if not, all, ethnic Aldarminians share. On a whole overall, Aldarminians tend to be socially liberal and economically capitalist. Competition, superiority, and violence also play big parts in Aldarminian culture still today.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Aldarminia usually has a powerful and constantly growing economy. It is also very adaptive. Even due to a recent recession due to almost outrageous spending on military needs, the economy is already showing signs of rapid recovery, and it could possibly be even more prosperous than before with a whole new massive amount of open job slots. With millenias worth of a warrior culture-like tradition, it would be a correct inference to say the military is placed on a high pedestal within Aldarminia. As such, with a 90% defense budget, Aldarminia has acquired advanced military equipment and a large pool of soldiers and recruits to use whenever they see fit to expand or defend the Imperium. Centuries of mostly successful of imperialism has allowed Aldarminia to have a diverse economy that can stand mostly by itself as a self-sufficient machine of commerce. Sadly, this imperialism has also spread out the military and made budgeting and whatnot a very serious competition. Because of this, Aldarminian internal politics can be very literally cutthroat. While close to no bureacracy exists, a web and maze of political alliances and rivalries makes making decisive and appropriate actions difficult.

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)
Aldarminia would be a good fit for Judea due to the already close ties it shares with many of the current Judean nations and past ones as well. Aldarminia would also only strengthen the other ties between Judean nations. Aldarminia's trade and cooperative foreign policies would also surely create a more strongly united Judea and a more prosperous one as well.
OOC-I am very active OOCly and on the IRC, even on the Judean one despite not being a member. I believe heavily in developing a story through RPing. I will eagerly participate in any RP that the region as a whole to develop whatever story it may have. I believe the very nature of how I will develop Aldarminia's mythos further will be able to spice things up in any Judean RP.

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?
The Grand Imperial Republic and its Imperium considers Judea a proud land of prosperity, close-knit circles of unity, and culture. Aldarminia would be proud to have its borders extend into such a prestigious and glorious region as Judea. The Imperium also considers Judea to be a place where it can protect its interest more easily and be closer to its allies and friends.

My Azhupedia article describes my early history in depth and minor portions of my culture.

The Cyrupean people are primarily white in ethnic makeup, with nearly 72% of the population declaring themselves as white. Hispanics are the second largest ethnic group in the Imperial Republic, at a reported 16%, followed by Blacks and Natives at 5% and 3% respectively. Different ethnic groups tend to clash occasionally, but the Imperial Republic is often referred to as a metaphorical salad of cultures, each having their own strengths and weaknesses within the country that balance out.

Culturally, the country is found to heavily rely on traditions dating back hundreds of years and holds writing as an important cultural aspect, though citizens of the colonies and the newer generations often hold other aspects of life such as music or art to be more important. Primarily a war-like culture due to its tribal history, although not necessarily dependent on it, combat-oriented sports such as wrestling and boxing are extremely popular to most of the citizens.

The sea is an important aspect the society had revolved around in its earliest days, with the vast oceans of the world not only providing food, but contact externally to the rest of the world. In modern times, it serves the country as both an outlet to dominate more distant countries and to profit from, with seafaring trade bringing the country to its economic prowess.

Economically, the Imperial Republic primarily exports finished products with items such as electronics, automobiles, medical equipment, and textiles leading the market. Raw goods such as lumber, cotton, and crude oil are also common major exports of the country.

II. What are the strengths and weaknesses of your nation?
Strengths:

Economically, the country is a powerhouse with a focus of quality over quantity; exported items are numerous in nature due to the size of the industries. Militarily powerful, with a focus on naval might in order to protect the country's trade routes and its interests.

Weaknesses:

Due to a focus of quality over quantity the country cannot often compete against significantly larger economies in the same markets, though is evenly matched in certain markets due to consumer brand preference at times. Despite being militarily powerful, military is occasionally a logistical nightmare on true distance operations and subsequently the country rarely involves itself in large-scale wars unless necessary.

III. Why do you think you will be a good fit in Judea? (What qualities of yours will make you an excellent addition to Judea?)

I tend to be very active, both OOCly and ICly and make an effort at getting to know and participate in the regions I join. I consider myself a capable teacher, and have enough free time to make a point of anyone who asks for it. I'm a freelance (although admittedly still a bit of a novice) digital graphics designer and would be willing to help out there. I work from home, and subsequently have a massive amount of time to spend helping the region however I could.

IV. Why do you want to join Judea?

There are a lot of people I respect in Judea, and some people I even used as a base for my current roleplay style as it exists today. I was invited to join by StGeorge due to the fact I am no longer comfortable with my current region (which I have been a part of for the past 11 months), and ultimately Judea is a place where I can learn and grow while refreshing what has become a stagnant grind for me in NationStates by experiencing new things with new people.

V. What are your relationships with current members of this alliance?

I've had contact with a decent number of the folks that inhabit the Judea IRC room, mostly off the aforementioned IRC room but since I've recently started to go on the IRC, I feel I am making decent terms with the members of the region. I know a few from #Sanc, most notably Ustio and StGeorge.
ICly, it is a literal blank slate with all of the members of Judea. I've had no contact with them, but I have read their posts before to the point I have a basic idea of what they are.
