America, the Netherlands - This town name, often used as a plot device in dubbed cartoon series where a person thinks he or she will go on vacation to the USA...instead, he or she is going to America in "lembuuuuuhrgggggg" (Limburg)

Portugaal, the Netherlands - Another town name named after a country. Except they just add an extra a in the hope that it disguises the fact that the ones who named this town had no imagination at all and had to resort to stealing country names...ha...no.

Waspik, the Netherlands - ...Was...pik... (Wax dick when translated literally), although in reality, Waspik comes from the word Waes (marshy land) and pik (Which means protruding piece of land...or, more often, it means dick)

This town is made even more pathetic because a train rails called, de Halve Zolenlijn (Retard line. Yes you read that correctly.) runs straight through Wax dick.

Although, the line thanks its name from the textile industry that was present in North Brabant (Halve zool can also just plainly mean Half Sole, although it is also often used as an insult towards anyone being stupid.)

Drogeham, the Netherlands - Dry ham? ...well, now just need to find wetham somewhere.

North Brabant, the Netherlands - It's funny because it's located in the south of the Netherlands. Do you wanna know where South Brabant is? In the North of Belgium!

Remionds me of the urban legend about the real city of Usa, Japan. depending on the version of the storyeither a clever Japanese business owner in the town of Usa started labeling his products "made in usa" or the The Japanese renamed a town Usa to get around requirements that products be labeled "made in Japan" and after Japanese products got a bad rep for shoddyness during the 50s. The town of Usa has been around at least 1000 years...

I also went to a small village last week called Giggleswick... it was right next to another village called Wrigglesworth. Don't get much more English countryside then that do you? And yes it was full of rah rah's.
