I have been playing NS for a bout a week or so now, and just became a member of the WA, and I was wondering are there any counsels in the WA (ie, security cousel,WHO, etc) ? and I know it says my nation was founded on may 4th 2009, this is my 2nd nation on NS

The WA doesn't have things exactly like the WHO or the Security Council. What it does have is organisations that have been created in resolutions -- committees.

But nations (players) don't have any formal role on those, because of this rule

Rules for WA Proposals wrote:Creating Stuff
Committees may be created, as long as certain things are kept in mind: nations do not sit on committees, they are staffed by mystical beings that instantly spring into existence and live only to serve on said committee.

Still, that hasn't stopped players making up roleplayed organisations. The Red Cross and Crescent RP lasted for more than a year, as I recall. This thread has a list of some WA organisations, and this one is where I've recently been asking people to update that list. Following those links should turn up some player organisations that are still active.

If you want to get more involved with other WA players, with or without RP, you can also try joining one of the regions or offsites that concentrate on the WA (writing proposals, bitching about players who don't vote for their proposals, bitching about mods who kill their proposals ...). The best place to look for these is in players' signatures, at the bottom of their posts. Usually you can click on their link to go to the organisation they advertise.

Another way to get in touch with WA players is to have your rep turn up at the Strangers' Bar. Just leave your weapons at the door.

The Red Cross was both a committee and a roleplayed entity, sort of like the Pretenama Panel.

Counsels in the WA? I dunno - did NSUN Lawyers make the switch?

Not to confuse you, because Ard's 100% percent right as always but there are "unplayed" councils (basically figureheads that the game demonstrates),

which I've outlined here > http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=99#p917

There are also all sorts of organizations and commitees that that WA has created with resolutions or in the game code, but none of them are roleplayed as being run by specific players.
