After all, it is my duty to provide information to the people. So, remember, good luck on reading this and may Huynma bless you. No matter if you are online, or reading it in a travel book, or got it straight from local bookstore, the handy "Encylopædia Syvorjianica," will always be useful, especially since it is professionally written by the best historians, scientists, teachers, and politicians in the country, while our Wiki article could be edited by anybody, which could cause huge vandalism which will leave people in a panic. Hopefully, this Encylopædia will solve all of the problems created by NSwiki, and that it will be more convenient. So, remember, no matter what, Huynma also yearns, and this book will help you know. Even if you are, by hell on an e-reader, this is a perfect fit for you. You can put it on your iPod, you can put it on your bookshelf, on a DVD, but remember, we always release new editions regularly, just to be aware for those who use physical books. Either way, happy reading!

Signed,
ฎทยำพนพ ็นืนป I

History of Syvorji

Early History (prior to 1250)

The oldest evidence that humans lived on the Syvorjin peninsula was tipi rings near the only land border, which we found in 1982 and are estimated to be 51,000 years old. The oldest fossils were found in 1989, estimated to be 48,150 years old. By 500 BC, a chief, Huynma (Syvorjin: ็ีัืทฟ, Ηθυνμα) who lived in a mountain valley in his own tipi in what is now Thimphu after being forced into exile, according to legend had a vision to unite the Syvorjin ethnic clans into a single entity and developed a script called the Huynma script (Syvorjin: ็ีัืทฟ ฆแพรยะ Ηθυνμα Σψριπτ) and wandered to many ethnic families in the West and East, which he called "Thimphu," (Syvorjin: ธ้รทย้ี, Τηιμπηθ) and after finishing the unification of the Clans, he invited all the heads of the tipis he managed to conquer and asked them to praise him as their Emperor (Syvorjin: ษฟทกนแ้ำ), and then they wished him luck and he promised them that he shall make a stable government, without war and in peace, but in the west, infighting happened, and he was caught in the crossfire, proclaiming him as traitor and was executed after a person shot an arrow in his heart in 469 BC, and they began to worship him as the father of Syvorji. However, it descended into anarchy, with no stable monarch, many fought for power, claiming to lead in the name of Huynma, when it truly was not.

Creating the Imperial Empire and Early Years (1250 to 1330)

In 1250, at a spot now the site of the Royal Palace, monarchs east of the Syvorjin Mountains gathered after trekking to form a unified Syvorjin empire. After agreeing, they chose a princess to become Empress Ling I, and Ling named her dynasty after herself, which still lasts until today. During that time, Ling created governmental institutions, unified the Kingdoms and divided the nation into provinces and territories, and metropolitan provinces. Her reign was remembered as a Golden Age, and after her death, her successor, Empress Ling II continued the creation of the Empire and is remembered for creating the High Council, led by a Prime Minister, elected by the people. By 1324, Syvorji's governmental system looked almost similar to what it is in the present day. However, after the death of Empress Ling II in 1329, her oldest son, Vong became Emperor of Syvorji, who wanted to expand Syvorji.

Expansion (1330 to 1895)

In 1330, Emperor Vong I proclaimed the right to expand, and endorsed merchants for trading and claiming land beyond the mountains. Greek was commonly used at the time in the West, and once the merchants arrived, they adopted the Greek script for Syvorjin. During that time, they traded with the Kingdom of Dorista (Greek: Βασίλειο της Δοριστα, Vasíleio ti̱s Dorista, Doristan: Ծհոբակի լոյաի της Δορիստա, Chobaki loyai ti̱s Dorista), and by 1355, they became part of Syvorji, and within years, they took much of the territory, that by the death of Emperor Vong I in 1379, it assumed most of the current territory, except Western Syvorji (part of the Greek Kingdom) which would later be conquered. During that time, the economy developed, and many monarchs passed. By 1701, Emperor Vong IX, confident in the economy began to take Western Syvorji, and within years, they took most of the territory except the present-day capital of West Syvorjin, Thessens and surrounding areas, which by 1863, under the reign of Empress Victoria I, they took over the remaining territory of the Greek Kingdom of Syvorji. During the reign of Empress Victoria I, she also improved living standards and the national economy, leading it into the Industrial Revolution, and encouraged foreign companies to establish businesses in Syvorji. Upon her death, her successor would lead a Golden Age that would last all the way into 1967, the first year of the military regime.

Golden Age (1895 to 1967)

When Empress Victoria II came on the throne in 1895, she rapidly began expansion of the economy, and as more and more people migrated to Syvorji, attracting a lot of people. During that time, she slowly removed powers from herself and moved it to the High Council, and while the economy grew, she also began to make housing cheap and affordable, by building modern (at the time) apartments that were rent-free throughout the country. By 1925, TV arrived to Syvorji, and soon, lives got better. During that time, she encouraged foreign companies to come and trade in Syvorji, and opened itself to the outside world, including tourists. By 1947, however, Empress Victoria II was ill, and would eventually die at 9:08 pm on June 8, 1947. Soon, Empress Sadako took the throne and continued the reforms her mother began. However, in 1950, she abolished income tax, and during that time, the Mountain Territory was created to protect the environment and became a national park, with the only development allowed being around and inside Thimphu and resorts. In 1960, she granted autonomy to Thimphu, Dorista, Abokastan and Western Syvorji. The prosperity of the Golden Age would soon end in 1967, when the military took power, deposing Empress Sadako for 5 years, making her flee to Phing Phong.

Military Rule (1967 to 1972)
(Note that Kingdoms refer to present day administrative divisions)
On June 7, 1967 at 8:07 pm, Syvorjin Time, 3 generals took power, whose names were Voyezai, Lukatai, and Saharzai, ousting Empress Sadako I, who was in power from 1947, and promised to become a stable republic, with strong human rights, and that they will serve to transition from the monarchy to a republic. However, from the beginning, laws that took years to process were erased in days, they removed many human rights to minorities, and even banned any language except Syvorjin, in the Greek Script, and Greek, which angered many Syvorjins, and English, and soon, by 1969, opposition was growing, and strikes were very common. However, in 1968, Szenoshal separated itself from Syvorji, of which the generals recognized the regime, as a safe haven for Stalinists. On May 2, 1970, the High Council met in the abandoned Governmental Palace, for the first time since 1967, but this time, they refused to recognize the Military Regime and proclaimed the creation of the National Council, to overthrow the military rule and restore the monarchy, with all of them unanimously agreeing to the creation, and within days, it took control of Syvori, Koryodong, Tianshen and Nineveh, and by the end of 1970, it took all the territory east of the mountains. By 1971, they took control of Thimphu and the southern part of the Greek Kingdom, and by 1972, they took the rest of the Greek Kingdom of West Syvorji, including the capital of the Military Regime, Thessens, with support of the National Council widespread. On April 7, 1972, the military was deposed and within days, they annulled all acts the military committed and the junta officials were the last to be executed by the death penalty, by firing squad on May 9, 1972, and many welcomed Empress Sadako's return to power, which she operated a government in exile in Osthia.

The Withering State (1972 to 2018)

Since 1972, Empress Sadako I has modernized the economy, annulled the military violations of the constitution, and human rights was now very common. The High Council was restored, and in 1994, the Greeks living east of the Mountains were granted autonomy, as the Greek Autonomous Province (Outer Osthia was granted autonomy, to end the territorial dispute between Syvorji and Osthia), dissolving the former province of Qongdi, and now, a lot of people live there due to the rich economy, and has good diplomatic relations with many countries, and from 1973 to the mid 1990s, all symbols of the military regime were banned, but today, they are legalized, and are used by a political party of the High Council, "Greek Syvorjin Party," to attempt to move the capital to Vapeux, and make the Greek script the only official script, but encouraging the use of other languages in Syvorji, which despite that, is not very popular. Empress Sadako I remains very popular and named Prince Chung Ling as heir to the throne of Syvorji, in case if she dies of old age. However, in 1986, she announced the Sozialistische Weg Manifesto, for Syvorji to guide it's way into Marxist communism, and since then, the economy had grown, with relations between capitalist and communist nations, regardless of ideology. In 2011, it discovered the continent of Saigon, and since then, many nations have colonized the land. However, 7 years later, on September 26th, Empress Sadako passed on, causing the Crown Prince, Chyung Ling to become Emperor of Syvorji.

Total Communism (2018 to present)

Immediately, Chyung Ling became known as Emperor Honox I, and soon, criticism due to international sanctions and such, especially reaching a peak of tensions when they attempted to deport those joining the coalition, but soon, after Osthia threatened nuclear action, Syvorji stopped the ideal. On December 1, 2018, he abolished the monarchy, and high council, with the vote of the High Council, with a radical bill that devolves the decisions to the communes, and to be symbolically represented by republics, to represent the communes. However, the economy is booming and prospering, and the nation is modernizing, becoming a major center in tourism, with many sights to see.

The Syvorjin Language

Syvorjin is the national language of Syvorji, alongside English. In the east, it is commonly written with the Hyunma script devised by Hyunma in 500 BC. The Greek Alphabet is used in the West.

Syvorjin vs. Syvorjian

Older English records call the language of Syvorjin "Syvorjian," and Syvorjins themselves referred to their language as Syvorjian until the mid 1950's, when they began to refer to their language and themselves in English as Syvorjins, but many older people still refer to Syvorjin as Syvorjian.

Huynma Script

The Huynma Script was devised by Huynma, to unite Syvorji, as he scratched it on a boulder which disappeared in 219 BC and was replaced with a wooden pole that still stands with his name on 4 sides, and had many characters, but is easily translated into English, yet, they prefer the script and is taught in calligraphic classes throughout Syvorji, compared to the other scripts.

Greek Alphabet

The Greek Alphabet was brought many years ago to the Western part of the Mountains by the Greeks and the people in the Western part used it to write their scripts, but when the Syvorjins sailed and discovered Greek, they adapted it to writing Syvorjin, and since then, it is used west of the mountains, but is also a common script.

Arabic Abjad

In 1899, a group of Syvorjin Muslims met to decide on an alphabet to transliterate Syvorjin into. After many arguments, they chose Arabic, with its own variation, and the first text written other than the Syvorjin Arabic Dictionary (released in 1902), was the Quran that was released in 1908. Until the 1990s, the Syvorjin Arabic abjad was frequently used, but never accepted by the government as a script. Today, its use is rare amongst Muslims, instead preferring Standard Arabic. Despite that, in the breakaway state of Szenoshal, they still use the Arabic alphabet to write Syvorjin. Despite that, in 2003, Ayokastan (the kingdom where most of Syvorji's Muslims lived) adopted the script as a third script, to encourage Muslims speaking Arabic to learn Syvorjin.

Common Phrases

S/he - ณ/ธฟัร - I/tayi - Ι/ταυι - هفشغه/فشغه

Alphabet

For many years, the Huynma script was an abiguida but since c. 1900, it adopted an alphabet, and is now nearly equivalent to English in the letter. In the western part of Syvorji, the Greek alphabet is used for Syvorjin. Muslims until recently used the Syvorjin Arabic Alphabet, developed in 1899, but now are using Standard Arabic, except in Szenoshal. In green, are the official scripts for Syvorjin, while pink is unofficial, or no longer in use, and for Latin, it is blue for transliteration. From 1968 to 1991, the Standard Alphabet for Syvorjin was the national alphabet of Szenoshal (Syvorjin Arabic was adopted in 1975).

Numbers

Along with the Arabic/Hindi Numerals in common use, the Syvorjin used to have their own script for numbers, modelled on the Eastern Arabic script. For example, while those in English use "15," those in Syvorjin used to use, "١٥," and 2 being, "٢."

Traditional Syvorjin Culture

The traditional culture of Syvorji is centered upon the creator and Huynma, paying respect to shrines of Huynma, and visiting sacred places. They wear traditional clothes, and wish for peace, with the true Syvorjin personality being proud, happy for Syvorji and praising Huynma for his work. Traditionally, at the age of 15, they go under a ritual, placing a wreath of pine needles, symbolizing that they lived for 15 years, and that they are old enough to live on their own, as well as receiving the right to hunt alone, but nowadays, since 1950, the age of majority is raised from 15 to 18. Western culture found it's way into Syvori that nowadays, it is hard to distinguish between those two. Foreign influences still come, but parts of the pre-Western culture of Syvorji still remain. The traditional Syvorjin believes in social harmony and that they believe they should exert anger in form of prayer. Alcohol is frowned upon by the traditional Syvorjin. No wonder why the average Syvorjin would praise their culture and congratulate them on being brave. Sadly, today, most of this culture can only be found inside Thimphu, the spiritual home of Huynma and a place that vows to stay within it's norms.

Political System of Syvorji

The Imperial Empire of Syvorji follows Sozialistweg, an ideology that was written as a compromise between communism and capitalism, and literally means, "Socialist Way," in German. Written from 1972 to 1986 by Empress Sadako I, it was widely supported by all parties, granting freedom, prosperity and good government while allowing for businesses to remain strong. However, in 2018, pure communism was adopted, after the death of Empress Sadako and succeeded by Emperor Honox. Since then, while the High Council exists, there are no parties, nor independent MPs, with over 879,500 members, representing every commune. The current Prime Minister is Margaret Greene, in power since 2015, and representing the commune of Central Syvori.

Above the High Council is the Supreme Soviet, which is compromised of 7 members.

Chakiyari Nimgyha - Chairman of the Syvorjin High Council
Kamjo Lai - Health Minister
Chyung Ling (Honox I) - Foreign Minister
Margaret Greene - Internal Minister
Ian Smith - Education Minister
Ocheni Laipaki - Indigenous Minister
Vladimir Putin - Economic Minister

Above the Supreme Soviet is the Ling Dynasty, but it has no power, but a symbol to Syvorjin culture. The current head of the Ling Dynasty is Emperor Honox I, formerly known as Chyung Ling, his wife is Empress-Consort Minhyugo Ling, and the heir is Ameur Ling, who is 5 years old. Since 2021, it is still similar, except the Emperor nows has a power of veto. If the High Council overrides his first veto, he can impose a second veto. Secondly, the names of some positions are changed, but most of the people remain the same.

Huynmism

"Until the day that chaos reigns throughout Syvorji, I shall be in occultation, and that nobody will see me, nor hear me, except the Creator." - Huynma

Image
The Temple of the Sacred Shrine (Thimphu)
General Info

Huynmism is a religion that originated in Thimphu at around 500 BC. Similar to Buddhism, Huynmism has a goal, to ensure stability, prosperity and unity within the people. Unlike many religions in the world, Huynmism allows people to pray other religions, meaning one could be a Huynmist and a Christian, or even a Muslim and a Huynmist, since Huynma believed that everyone is equal, and that they must learn other religions to achieve peace. They believe that Huynma is not dead and is in occultation, meaning he was last represented in Thimphu by a person in 975 AD, when he announced he would head to nirvana, in his hidden spot. Another important factor of Huynmism is that unity is to be believed by all, and that peace can only come when unity is achieved. He even allowed temples to be built in any style, and personally built the shrine of the Temple of the Sacred Shrine, which is high up in the mountains, and is 100 kilometers away from Thimphu, and is a place of pilgrimage, with over 2,500,000 Huynmists coming each year to worship at the Sacred Temple.

Temple Layout

While a temple could be built in any style, the prayer room needs to consist of a shrine that faces in the direction of the Sacred Shrine (many built recently have shrines that face Thimphu), a Prayer Wheel, facing the opposite direction of Thimphu (or the Sacred Shrine), to ensure that they prayers will go across the world, ascending to the heavens in the process to head straight to Huynma, where it is said he will hear the prayer, and peacefully would grant the wish, no matter where it would be. At the same time, they even believe that bad prayers, like to demand Huynma to die, or to prove himself would result in disaster to a place, either at where the believer who delivered said bad prayer, or the opposite side of the world.

Karma

Once you cease to be, during a funeral, for good luck, they would place emeralds, rubies and diamonds on the coffin, that proves that there is indeed good karma inside the person. The more there is, or if the person was very honourable to Huynma, the more likely the person will come back again as someone higher than a human. If he has none, or acted very horribly against Huynma, they would make him reincarnate as something lower than a human, or a human. However, recently, some Huymnist temples simply judge behavior. Despite that, nobody knows how much karma there is except Huynma.

Military

Until 1972, Syvorji had a fledging military, but due to war crimes and human rights violations committed under the military junta inside Syvorji from 1967 to 1972, it no longer is active, but it still has one, albeit very tiny, called the Syvorjin Self-Defense Forces.

Army ORBAT

1st Infantry

15,200 troops
256 tanks
20,000 doctors
10,049 nurses
125,000 reserved

2nd Infantry

8,045 troops
25 tanks
10,000 doctors
5,000 nurses
10,000 reserved

Navy Orbat

Coast Guard

25 submarines
15 patrol boats
2 hospital ships
1 battleship
35,000 crew members
45,000 weapons
57,195 doctors
31,056 nurses
113,050 reserved

Air Force

460 planes
460 pilots
460 co-pilots
421 weapons
20,051 doctors
14,191 nurses

Conscription is illegal inside Syvorji, due to, again, the Military Regime, which enforced it, to encourage people to murder those that opposed the military regime. Only in extreme cases would they conscript people, but otherwise, it is banned, and in any case, it is hard to think of. After all, it is hard to even propose it, unless if there is a clear threat against the Imperial Empire.

Coat of Arms

Image

The first coat of arms, it is adopted in 1986, as part of adoption of Sozialistweg. The cogwheel represents industry, and the corn represents the farmers. Together, they represent the workers. An open book represents the intellectuals, and how important they contribute to society. On both sides, there is the English side, showing the motto, and name, and Greek showing the name and motto, in their languages. At the bottom, it reads "Unity, Friendship, Peace," in English, to symbolize why English is important. The reason why the Huynma script is not included, is to make it easier for the government to write it down on computers.

In 2018, with the adoption of pure communism, a new coat of arms is created. The world is actually the longest river in Syvorji, with 2 sources, Lake Thimphu, and Aralsk Lake. The name of the river is Sakha River, and shows the general area where Yerevan is (note the island, which is the Old City). The yellow represents corn, and the names show it in English, Syvorjin and Greek.

National Anthems

During its time, Syvorji had 2 anthems, that are in use.

Glory to the Syvorjin Republic (1969 to 1972)

Written in 1967, as a song for the Syvorjin Imperial Impalers, it had no lyrics, until 1969, when the Junta wrote lyrics, that praised the country, and how strong the republic is. From 1972 until 1991, the song was banned, and even now, it is unpopular.

Instrumental

English translation

Together, we march on
To form a sovereign nation
Without you, Syvorji
We shall fall apart!

Forever, we must stand!
Divided, we will fall!
Glory, to the Republic!
Praise Syvorji!

Dear Syvorji (1986 to 2018)

While many popular hymns filled the gap for an anthem, as soon as they adopted Sozialistweg, the anthem of the Social Democratic Party's melody was adopted, due to it's support, and added lyrics that praised the system.

Instrumental

English Lyrics

Dear Syvorji,
I have a gift from me to you
This brilliant tune that I believe in
My motherland has given us this land, ocean and moutains;
For all of us, to see!

CHORUS
Arise! Arise!
You poor people who are slaves!
Together, Syvorji shall march on,
Amongst the path of Sozialistweg!

We are rising from the ruins!
Syvorji, shall march its way
Into communism by itself
We intend to be neutral, so
People can be proud for our nation!

CHORUS

People's Song (2018 to present

In 2018, with the dissolution of the monarchy, making the Ling Dynasty nothing more than a figurehead, and as a result, new symbols were adopted, into a new anthem. Red is Syvorjin, Blue is Greek, Green is Arabic, Purple is Doristan, orange is Chamoru, and English is in black. However, on December 7, 2018, the Sami SR and the Eesti-Kalasi SR joined the fray. As a result, yellow is Estonian, and pink is in Sami.
Instrumental

Stanza 1

Motherland, Motherland,
Together, we shall rise!
Glory, to the United Socialist Republics!
Peace and Prosperity;
Shall be our goal for the USRS!
Here, those glorious mountains of freedom
Will always shine!

Our history has been long, and bloody;
But today, we are still here as one nation;
One People, and one goal!

Stanza II

For a united world revolution!
Long live the people, workers, farmers, thus they have one goal!

Our National Tune will be heard,
As we praise the government;
Inside Tiraspol, a peaceful and neutral place!

Life is a circle, since everyone
Is equal, without fear;
Nor quarrel in the USRS!

English, Greek, Arabic, Syvorjin;
Doristan, Sami, Estonian and Chamoru, will be said!
Workers of the world, unite!
(repeat second stanza)

Q&A

Below this post is where your nation can ask questions about Syvorji, its people, to request what word means which in Syvorjin, and so on and so forth. That said, here, you can post any IC questions. If you want to ask anything OOC, send these questions to the 'grams (TGs), lest our mothers soap our mouths for that. Either way, just post any question that relates to Syvorji.

Thank you, sir. For the box at the first page, I was instantly inspired by another nation. For detail, copied it from NSWiki, and added my own explanations.
