The NSG Football (all kinds, Int'l and USA) Megathread

Postby Bluth Corporation » Sat Sep 05, 2009 1:03 pm

MODEDIT FOR MEGATHREAD
Reploid Productions wrote:So it's football season in the States, and many of our users want to talk about the sport; their favorite teams, the outcome of this-or-that game, maybe the latest "so-and-so player did X illegal action!" drama.

So here you go, NSG football fans, a sticky megathread just for you. Like the Obama healthcare reform megathread, this one will be de-stickied once it becomes irrelevant. So probably around the end of the season.

And I know that sports rivalries can get pretty heated, so let's not turn into a bunch of sport hooligans in here, okay? ;)

END MODEDIT

Nice TD on 3rd-and-16, then the Domers make a beautiful tackle to stop a pass short of the first down on Nevada 3rd-and-12, leading to a missed Nevada field goal attempt.

Actual Notre Dame is amazing, it's a 40/40/20 mix of Confused Tourists/Drug Dealers/Plainclothes Police Guys. PROTIP : Do not go up to anyone clean-shaven OR overly grimy to buy drugs, they will have you in a cell faster than you can say Zut Alors!

Erm also hurrah for eh the Domers or something I suppose?

Notre Dame is getting more penetration on punts than Travis Henry's penis...

Then they need to kick Travis Henry's penis harder. *nod*

Oklahoma v. Brigham Young- Football

Postby Buccaneers FC » Sat Sep 05, 2009 1:54 pm

I'll be the official OU guru this season. Here are the details:

LOCALE: Arlington, Texas (neutral)
STADIUM: The Dallas Cowboy's new stadium
TIME: 7 PM/6 PM central time
TV: ESPN

Well, we can say that it will be interesting. OU's #3 on the AP, and BYU is #20. OU has one of the best offenses NCAA has ever seen, whereas BYU isn't really revered for anything except it's massive Mormon enrollment. However, a clash between two AP top 25 teams will always be interesting, regardless of who it is. Remember 2008's OU/Texas Tech game? Exactly.

So, all we have to do is wait and watch.

(NOTE: This is American football.)

If these college football threads continue much longer, I might have to start doing something pointlessly silly.

I like Brigham Young. They gave Rob Morris and Austin Collie to my beloved Colts.

I confess to be a BYU hater. You, sir, are my sworn nemesis.

We watch the game and bet $1000 in virtual money.
