Overview
The Majestic Empire of Old Beringia is a fascist absolute monarchy composed of seventeen provinces, three major protectorates, and various overseas colonies and possessions. It is currently ruled by the infinitesimal wisdom of God-Empress Alicia Esmeraude Dux Ducis II who acts as both the head of state and head of the state religion, Quarterentarianism. Appointed by God-Empress Alicia, Princess Renata DeRoche-Wright rules as the Empress-Regent and head of government in her stead. The formal capital and seat of the Imperial Government is Emerald City, with most of the DeRoche Government's functions taking place in Magnolia City, and the most populous city is Paradise Heights. It is a current member nation of the Global Powers and former member nation of Greysteel, the Freed Lands, the Silver Isles, the Union of Roswarne, Coalition of Armed Nations, and the Nationstates Community.
Old Beringia is a fascist country, governed by the tenets of Beringian Fascism, a collectivist ideology which seeks to protect civilized society from the social, military, and economic forces. These forces put pressure on every nation and Beringian Fascism sees the total mass mobilization of the state to combat these forces as necessary. Otherwise, Beringians themselves, their social order, and the very land that makes up Beringia, is at risk. Beringian Fascists have always advocated for autarky as one means of achieving security, and the responsible exploitation of resources is seen as an extension of this policy of safeguarding Beringians from all threats.

Where as most nations exercise economic systems such as socialism or capitalism, fascism has been a natural fit for Beringia for some time. As to foster warm relations with other governments of the world, we emphasize that our ideology is our own. It is not fit for everyone or everywhere and takes a special person, a Beringian, to employ properly. However, just like a democratic government aiding an adherent to its own ideology, if a fascist nation of proper stature is in danger we will rush to aid it. The Beringian Department of Foreign Relations, originally established as the United Provinces Bureau of Foreign Relations in 1811, was chartered with the goal of implementing Beringia's foreign policy, and promote economic, cultural, and scientific relations with other countries. It also presides over the foreign relations of Beringian Commonwealth Nations. With that information in mind, please take the time to fill out an application. We are interested in establishing contacts with governments of other persuasions if only to have a means of holding a proper diplomatic dialogue when the need arises.

Rules and Regulations
Diplomatic staff will be asked to observe the law while in Beringia although they will receive diplomatic immunity. If a crime is committed by diplomatic staff member is deemed irreparable the aforementioned staff member will be required to depart from Beringia; they will not be permitted to return. Moreover, service and security staff will not be granted immunity and are subject to the law of the land. Weapons carried by security staff will be limited to semi-automatic small arms; i.e. pistols, low caliber sub-machine guns. If a weapon cannot be agreed upon a suitable Beringian manufactured weapon will be supplied. Weapons may not be openly carried off of the embassy grounds unless a permit for doing so is issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs; it may be revoked at any time. Vehicles used by embassy staff may not be armed as escort by Guardian Corps soldiers can be provided. Military vehicles are not permitted. If requested a suitably sized complement of agent from the Imperial Military Police can be provided for additional security, pending a review of the security situation.
- A combination of ten (10) vehicles is the maximum amount allowed.
- The maximum amount of diplomatic staff is fifty (50).
- The maximum amount of service staff is twenty (20).
- The maximum amount of security staff is fifteen (15).

Locations
Diplomatic missions may be placed throughout three principal locations in Old Beringia. Embassies to Old Beringia will be placed in the Imperial Government's Special Administrative District in Emerald City, on International Avenue, colloquially known as Embassy Row. Consulates may be placed in Magnolia City, London Heights, Paradise Heights, Battery Park City, and Marston. The Department of Foreign Affairs will facilitate, coordinate, and manage the construction as well as the final move in to embassies by the diplomatic mission.
Note: We recommend a consulate in Magnolia City in addition to an embassy in Emerald City due to the Empress-Regent conducting the business of the Imperial Government there. Provisions for a consulate there can be made by simply marking an X in the required spot on both the long form and short form applications.
