also, you know, republican leadership is bad for the economy on every measure for everyone except the tiniest sliver of the elite. there's data on this and everything!

Aka khaki ....some of them. I've read up, too. That's because their uniforms weren't....well....uniform. Just because I'm a radical libertarian doesn't mean that I am an ignoramus.

No, they are content to use their loopholes and what they do pay, they more than recoup through corporate welfare (yes, Democrats collect that, too). But some taxpayers (as opposed to limousine liberals) are suckered by that talk of "social justice".

It would be interesting to see who in what Red states are tax recipients and how many are RINOs or neo-cons (whom I blame for the debt, too because they wouldn't cut spending 90% like they should have) vs. libertarians. Sorry, folks, not a neo-con, so you can't trap me with that bait.

The right to secede is so out of fashion, say the right to self determinism.

Semantics, but that will work in a pinch, too. It is a fundamental right under natural law, and as a disciple of Aristotle and Zeno, I believe firmly in a system of natural law (rather than a state with the right to legislate as it pleases with no obstacles).

Towards the Middle to End of the war though, most units and soldiers in the South realized that if you wore a blue coat you'd be shot. So while blue pants were common, most wore Grey or Butternut coats.

Depends on exactly where you're at though, Jackson is way more prosperous than Detroit, but rural Michigan is gonna be more prosperous than rural Mississippi. For example: They actually build cars in Jackson.

I'm a libertarian, not a Republican. I think Bush's tax cuts were too mild and his spending cuts were negative something. Don't compare me to some other party. I don't mind roads, but I do mind paying for someone else's education. He has two eyes and two hands. He can teach himself to read, write, and cypher, if he has the motivation. The State would barely exist, if it were up to me. Propertied soldiers only, smallholders in general, like it was in ancient Rome. And voting based on economic status. That way, no one gets the idea to confiscate someone else's money through something like, oh, an income tax.

And, just for the record, I live in Arizona.

You do realize that it was Rome's refusal to allow basic bourgeois equality, and the enforced economic domination was what led inexorably to Rome's degeneration into autocracy?

That many socialists went to my high school, which wasn't a very large high school. There are more lefties here than you might think, and quite a few trade unionists actually.

I don't care. Anarcho-syndicalists are harmless, except to themselves, and oddly enough, we have some common enemies with them. Or at least we libertarians do (believe it or not). It's the rest of the left that I adamantly dislike.
