The Resilin used in Adversus is actually a synthetic version of Resilin, that manages to retain the properties of natural Resilin. The process of how to make the synthetic Resilin has been patented (IRL) by the Australian CSIRO. What i've done, is to use the process to create synthetic Resilin for the tank's armor.

To answer your questions, all NERA rubbers self-ignite (to a limited extent) when hit by a shaped charge jet. This is part of how shaped charge jets go through NERA. However, the NERA also shifts, so that the shaped charge cannot focus on a single area of the armor. This serves to reduce the effectiveness of the shaped charge. There is less of an effect on KEPs, but the effect is still there. Resilin will only self-ignite to the same degree that any other Rubber will.

Resilin has lower degradation issues, compared to other rubbers. After all, it has to withstand a lifetime's worth of abuse. There is no reason that synthetic Resilin should have a loss of properties when exposed to biological agents. Certain chemicals can pose a problem, but the same is true for any rubber; and the same also applies to radiological attack.

Lamoni also uses Resilin in roads, toys, and many other applications, but that's another matter.
