So what do you think of the new forum so far?

Postby Neesika » Tue Sep 01, 2009 10:46 am

I've been gone for what seems like forever, been peeking in now and again. I'd like to hear what y'all think about the new digs now that we've had some time to settle in? If it's...permitted...perhaps we can discuss issues that have arisen with Moderation, and use of Moderation, since that seems to be a fairly controversial aspect of this community. Layout and vibe of General in particular though would be a great place to keep this thread focused on.

Ah, it's the same as ever, just a slightly different colour.

Yep, this. I do hate having to manage quote embedding myself, I must say. Other than that, it's green.

Seems like there's a lot less posts going on than the NSG of a couple of years back, but maybe that's just me.

Moving my kids across the country so I could take two more years of law school in order to get my Civil Law degree. Got a sweet place in a great neighbourhood, just a few blocks from GoG. He's been keeping me busy

It's seemed a lot less interesting, I haven't been really motivated to post to be honest.

My input isn't much. After all, all I've really known is this forum. I do have something that disturbs me a bit and that is the aggressiveness of some posters. But that isn't something that is much of an issue, I presume.

I dunno, it's the same topics as ever, I think we're just getting old and jaded :(

I think it is, I've actually found the new NSG to be slightly more busy.

Yes, too many posters have said farewell. I was told that as soon as school came back that many of the posters would be gone, but I expected them to be noobs like me. Some of the more seasoned posters are the ones leaving.

Seems to be a lot more Mod smackdown of people who get a little...heated. Neesika worries because Neesika is one abrasive bitch. One who apparently refers to herself in the third person. Creeeeeepy.

Yeah they generally come back though after being in a huff/3 months' not having the internet due to the army.

on the technical side it seems to be a lot less glitchy than it used to be when it was on jolt.

Otherwise its just the same things over and over... but theres only so much to talk about I suppose. Although the number of people in support of abolishing age of consent laws was a bit surprising.

Yes, you're abrasive, but you tend to be abrasive concerning the topic in question, not abrasive to people. If the mods smack you down for this, well, we're all doomed.

It's the school holidays, and after just learning that the formation of babby is supposedly fun they all want to give it a go. Kids nowadays, etc. etc.

I don't really notice the difference, but that could be because I'm so buried under coursework that I don't really have time to notice.

It's pretty-much the same as always. Some posters have vanished recently, unfortunately. In good news, the mods have made it so that the "wrote:" in quotes is a link back to the post (now all we need is for quotes to automatically be pruned after level 1...).

And despite all the claims of mods being nastier I haven't actually noticed it...
