Founding:
Millsa is an Island in the center of Sondria discovered in 1803 by a Wafedonian Exploration ship. It is a cold nation made up mostly of Evergreen Forests. Wafedonia began settling the Island of Millsa in the 1820s but it wasnt till August 6th 1890 that Millsa was founded as a territory. The City of New Sandusky was founded on Sept. 28th 1890 and would become a massive port city and eventually the capitol. In 1914 Millsa began a long military uprising against Wafadonia until The Republic of Millsa broke away on Feb.26.1920 and Declared Independence. The people of Millsa then elected the first premeir of Millsa, John R. Ironsmith on July.7th.1920. The Grand Ole Senate(located in the capitol)was founded a week later.

The 1920s:
The 20s saw the trials and errors made by Millsa play out with new innovations like radio. The Districts of Silver Falls and Osborn were brought into the Republic in this decade. Silver Falls in 1924 and Osborn in 1929. The 20s are most known for the Pro-Union vs Anti-Union debates, the most famous of these was the 1925 riot of New Sandusky . The riot started after a local community school meeting led to a teacher throwing a chair at someone demanding to know why teachers were unionized. The small fight escelated into a 3 day battle between Pro-Union activists and Anti-Union activists. When the fighting ended on Sept.8th 1925, over 300 arrests had been made and 12 people lied dead. The Following year the senate passed the Anti-Union bill prohibiting the formation of Unions of anykind.

The 1st Frigidosian War:
Millsa was not Wafadonias only colony, Frigidosia was another Island colony 1,000 Miles north of Millsa. Frigidosia was what one historian called an Ice Dessert, nothing but snow, ice and barbaric tribes.Millsa however was a mineral rich land of Evergreens.In 1924 Frigidosian tribes combined into the U.C.T.F , The United Communist Tribes of Frigidosia. Initially Millsa was open to tradeing with Frigidosia, but the Frigidosians wanted nothing to do with the capitalist ways of Millsa. As one Frigidosian put it "we want nothing to do with these capitalist monsters." On Nov 24th 1933 the hostility became to much to ignore when a Frigidosian Cruiser sank a Millsan Luxury Liner, killing all 1,200 Aboard. Frigidosian Leader Nancy Osabam claimed full responsibility for the attack and had this to say, "Our Armies will swarm your nation like bees, stinging you till you die." Premeir Gemwald asked the senate for a declaration of war on the 25th of November,the Senete unanimously accepted.

Millsa had never been challenged by a nation like Frigidosia. The Initial plan was to confront them on the stretch of Islands that stretched across the water between Millsa and Frigidosia. The 1st Fleet of Millsa commanded by Admiral Pearlat was to confront the coming Frigidosian Armada. The 1st Fleet at the time had 3 Battleships 10 Destroyers 13 Cruisers and 20 Frigates compared to the Frigidosian force of 5 Battleships,15 Destroyers, 20 Cruisers and 25 Frigates. On January 11th 1934 the 1st Fleet engaged the Frigidosian Armada in the battle of plum atoll. The First shot was fired by the Battleship Magnifiscent aimed at the Frigidosian Destroyer Gabriel. The Shot blew the Gabriel to peices and intitaily started the battle.Pearlat knew that facing the Armada as a whole was foolish so in an attempt to even the odds he lured the Frigidosian into a massive fjord that split the atoll, the 1,000 feet wide and 5 mile long fjord was perfect for trapping the armada. Pearlat broke the fleet into 3 groups before arriveing the Magnifiscent and her group lured the Armada into the fjord. Once in the rest of the fleet would surround the exits trapping the armada. The battle was over in 2 Days and ended in a decisive naval victory for Millsa. The R.M.N lost 1 Battleship 2 Destroyers and a cruiser while Frigidosia lost all but 6 Ships in its armada.

With the Frigidosian navy severly damaged,Millsa was able to pound its way towards Frigidosia. By April of 35, The Millsan Navy was less then 200 Miles away from the Frigidosian coast. The Frigidosians made one last stand at Huron straight, where they fell to superior tactics and numbers. The Battle was mainly a ground battle involving 2,000 Millsan Marines and 1,200 Frigidosian Soldiers. The 3 week battle cost Frigidosia the straight and ultimately the war. With 800 Casualties and 350 some surrenders Frigidosia finally agreed to enter peace talks. The Treaty of New Ann Arbor was signed on May 4th 1935, ending the year and a half conflict. Frigidosia would not forget this loss and secretly vowed to avenge it.

Peacetime 1935-1952:
The war had given Millsa a great advantage economically and militarily. After the war the population boomed from 80 Million in 1935 to 145 Million in 1952. New Sandusky became a major place of commerce and prosperity with the invention of skyscrapers and Highways. The Car became a staple of the Millsan family and would drive the economy for years to come. This time in Millsan History became known as the great joyride because of its care free attitude. This attitude would soon change after a cool august morning.

The Second Frigidosian War:
It was a cool morning on August 31 1952 and the skies were blue and care free. However 350 Miles north the Frigidosian Carriers Aegi,Erusea and Voligard were preparing to strike Millsa at home. At 9 o clock CMT a squadron of 25 VOL-4s headed for the AirBase at Frost Bite Bay, where 60% of Millsa's Bombers were located. The VOL-4s severly damaged the base and met little to no resistance. On the 2nd of September 12,000 Frigidosian soldiers stormed Red Island of the Glacier Isles, 3 Islands 160 Miles north of Millsa's coast. They took the 3,000 Millsan soldiers stationed their hostage.

On September 5th Millsa officialy declared war on Frigidosia for the second time in the nation's history. The initail goal was to secure the Glacier Isles and begin moving towards the Frigidosian capitol of Obam City. The Airforce began operation hammer on September 12th of that year. The goal was to bomb the ports on red Island as to cripple Frigidosian supply lines. The Remaining Bombers stationed at Diamond Valley in Sandusky were the main delivering method. On September 17th 5 LB-Cronos Heavy bombers excorted by 15 JF-12 made their way to Red Island, they were met by 30 VOL-4s. The Dogfight lasted only afew minutes but in that time only 3 JF-12s were lost compared to 23 VOL-4s. The Bombing run was a massive success with damage estimates in the hundreds of thousands. The Island was severely crippled with the loss of several harbors. October 1st 1952 the 1st Naval Task Force pushed across the Glacier Straight and landed 1,200 Millsan Soldiers on Red Island. The Beaches were still heavily fortified with Pillboxes and bunkers when the soldeirs made landfall. The Battle of Glacier Isles started out quickly and efficiently, soldiers had successfully created a beachhead by that evening at the loss of 76 soldiers. The Following morning, 5,000 marines landed on the beach to help in the push towards the city of Vermillion.

Millsan education is separated into 3 Group: Pre Secondary, Secondary and Post-Secondary. Typically schooling starts at the age of 5 and ends at the age of 22, though some will finish earlier or later for multiple reasons.

Pre-Secondary:
Pre-Secondary education in Millsa is a tier system that moves students progressively up the tier each year. The 1st tier is known as Kindergarten, then moves to number's going from 1-8.These tiers are known as Grades. Children in this system are seperated into different buildings by level. Kindergarten-6th Grade typically have their own school known as an elementary while 7 and 8 are kept in a seperate building known as a middle school or Junior High. In some districts, students are grouped into multiple buildings due to student population.

Secondary:
Secondary schools or High Schools are the final required schooling for a Millsan citizen, typically Millsan HighSchools are home to all athletic and theatrical facilities for a single school district. Students who attend HighSchool continue with the tier system with names replacing numbers. Freshman(9th) Sophmore(10th)Junior(11th) and Senior(12th) are the 4 grades one can be in. Secondary schools in Millsa compete with each other both academically and athleticly. To pass HighSchool a student must have a G.P.A of 2.5, know at least 2 Languages (one of them being English), have less than 10 recorded disciplinary actions against them and get a 75% or higher on all Millsan Graduation Tests. Students have 1 year after Senior year to pass High School. If a student fails to pass within the aloted time they are conscripted for 4 years of service with any branch of the Military, where they will learn a trade.

The Millsan Graduation Tests or M.G.Ts are 7 tests required to pass High School in Millsa. The Tests required are History, Science, Math, Reading, Writing, 1 Foreign Language and Geography.

Post- Secondary:
Post-Secondary education or College is the next level of Education for Millsan HighSchool Graduates. Colleges in Millsa are either Privately or State funded. Unlike the Pre Secondary and Secondary education, College is not a free service and usually has a high tuition rate rangeing from 15 to 25 thousand chipones a year. To combat this many Colleges offer financial aid through academic or athletic scholarships. The goal of college is to recieve a degree in a specific feild, such as Education or Buisness. In Millsa their are 3 Different forms of a Degree.

Basic Degree- Simply 4 years attended at a college with the required classes in your feild completed
Advanced Degree- 6 years of college with the required classes and a thesis report
Superior Degree-8-12 years of college with the required classes, a thesis report and 1 year internmentship with someone in the feild

Most professions in Millsa require at least a Basic Degree while other professions may require more.

Statistics:
As of 2010 Millsa is in the top 20 most educated nations in the Sondria region, to which it currently belongs. On average students from Millsa were ranked 1st in the Region in History and Science while it placed 12th in math and 8th in english. Compared with the world Millsa normally placed in the Top 10%, making it one of the best nations to be educated in.
