Hubble is completely different from a recon sattelite. Recon sattelite don't need massive mirrors grinded to the tiniest fraction of an inch to work right.

The US operates multiple spy satellites on the scale of the Hubble.

Almost certainly have larger mirrors, too, and considering the hilarious nature of spy satellites I would be surprised if they weren't diffraction-limited.

Generally, you tend to have different cruise and supercruise speed (since you specified both), as cruise is the most efficient speed you aircraft functions at, and supercruise is how fast it can go without using ABs. Other than that, I don't see anything particularly wrong with it. However, I do have a question, is it a 5th generation (stealth) aircraft? If not, then why does it cost so much, as in 100 million USD more than a Eurofighter Typhoon and 10 million USD more than a F-22? Also, it's nice to use an online unit converter to have both metric and British Imperial units displayed in your stat-block.

In the plan view, your aerial is penetrating up through the cockpit window. Both versions.

Personally, I kinda like the V12. With that long front end, it doesn't look so much like a Hellcat ripoff.

Sorry to jump two pages back in the conversation, but neither of the linked images above look anything like an F6F. Is there another Hellcat of which I am unaware?

Ok, I saved the photos and resized them:
Image

The one I assumed was being compared to the F6F is this one:
Image
The Hellcat never had a bubble canopy (to my knowledge). The nose looks more like an FW-190, the tailplane has me thinking P-40, and the wings are all kinds of wrong for a Hellcat. The F6F's wings (and stabilizers, now that I think about it) were very square, and much larger in proportion to the rest of the aircraft.

In fact, give me a minute. I still have the model F6F I built as a kid. *grabs the camera*

I know what an F6F looks like. :p

Yeah, Yak-3 is pretty much spot on for this, visually. It looks like it has a Spitfire tail, but then again, I don't quite remember the Yak-3's tail.

Thank you, by the way.

Eh, I suppose not, I haven't had a good look at the 47 in a while... It doesn't have any commonality with the F6F, though.

Neither the NS plane nor the P-47 shares wing shape with the F6F.

Is it meant to be stealthy in anyway? If so an F-4 is the worst possible starting point, other than perhaps some of the really boxy Sukhoi interceptors. Right angles are the opposite of stealth, as are clashing lines. While you haven't shown other angles, keep in mind an F-4 will need to get a lot fatter for engines with that amount of thrust, the intakes will need to be enlarged and and the engine bays may need enlarged as well.

Imagining I saw something more 5th generation, the stats work.

I like the F-4 a lot, but facts are stubborn things. Sadly even the greats meet their end, otherwise we'd just be flying stealthy jet powered Spitfires and FW-190s.

Actually looking over the stats, cruise speed and super-cruise speed should not equal each other, cruise shouldn't be above mach 1. Keep everything in the same measurement system please. Use imperial or Metric don't switch or list both. Why is this plane 160 million? I'll get better performance out of my plane (more thrust, more distance, more stealth) for 15 million dollars less, which in the grand scheme of things is much cheaper.

I like the look and the plane, but I'm not sold.

Well, the OP was looking for advice for an IC war in II, so I suppose that they would be used almost immediately.

It wasn't supposed to be a stealth fighter, and the likeliness of an F4 was just to get started. I see where I need to go with it now.
