Air force

Our current Fighter/Interceptor, the P-32 Koa, was first introduced in 1967 and remains our top fighter, although the Defense Department has been looking to replace it with a more modern aircraft.



Our latest acquisition is 12 FV12 Rapier fighter jets, which will equip a single squadron.


Our main strike fighter, the A-16 Hae'Popoki, was introduced in 1962. With the acquisition of the HF107, all A-16’s have been transferred to the reserves.

Our first, and so far, only, attack halicopter was introduced in 1971, HG-4 Pinao.



The main bomber of the Air Force is the B-45



The national marking is carried on the top and bottom of both wings, and on the tail fins of all military aircraft. The squadron insignia is carried on the fuselage.

Politics

The Republic is headed by the President, elected every 5 years. The current president, Charles Ha'anapalla, was elected in 2003, and re-elected for a second term in 2008. There are no term limits

The Congress is comprised of a single chamber of 112 Representative, which are apportioned by population with the Republic deivided into congressional districts accordingly. The Vice President acts as Chief of Congress. Representatives are elected for 4 year terms, with no term limits.

There are 2 main political parties; The Conservative Coalition and the Social Progress Party. The current divide in congress is CC - 58 representatives and the SPP 54 representatives.

As for your question about flying your flag, that is really a non-issue, as since it is your embassy, it would be very un-neighborly of us to deny you the right to fly your flag from your own embassy. In fact, we rather encourage it.
