The Forever Lasting Cold is an extension of my own personal world; which I invite people to enter into. This world is a world not unlike the world of the 1960s; in-fact a friend of mine and a member of this world once declared that "If you want to look at it this way, the world is the 1960s with the Old World hanging on and a notable lack of NATO"
It isn't really an 'Earth' along the lines of E2 but a group of people dedicated to a particular theme. That theme is that there is a world wide Cold War that has never really ended; people are mainly starting to forget why it even started. A good portion of Europe and America stand side by side but not bound by standard treaty to combat the constantly present threat of Communism that consumes all of Eastern Europe and Asia.
The World has an idyllic feel to it, as though every day is the 1990s and every day for the military is the 1960s. Systems advance and change but the planes, tanks and ships look relatively the same. Pop music is popular in the Free World and Tyranny is at it's most high in the Union of Soviet Republics. Propaganda screams through controversial loudspeakers and the freedom of speech is held dear to all not under the oppressive thumb of the Red Sphere.
The Question rises most often. Who dares to exist in this world of Freedom Fighters and Tyrants? Empires and SuperStates? Why, many of course and many more might join them; that choice of course up to any who dare to fall into the cracks. Would they side with the West who stand for Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness? Or would they stand with the East who stand for Tyranny, Dictatorship and Misery? Why only time and decisions would tell.
Power at a Glance - The Nations of Earth
The United States of Amerika: The United States is quite simply a powerhouse nation; there is no force on Earth who does not care somewhat about their opinion; their empire is vast and their ideals strong, their people patriotic and their resources many. Few on Earth stand to them, and even fewer survive the encounter.
The Union of Soviet Republics: For every Paladin there is a Necromancer; for every Jesus there is an Anti-Christ. Such is the Union of Soviet Republics; the personfication of something, not evil perhaps though that has been warped and twisted over the years. They are the strongest porponents of Communism and Neo-Bolshevik Ideology in Europe and Asia. Their armies are vast; their lands even more so. They stand to Amerika in every regard; bringing tyranny and death where-ever they go.
The Chinese Federation: The successor state to the Ming Empire the Chinese Federation is a unique sort of nation. They have the ability and power to stand as the lords of Asia yet they choose to watch quietly; while not neutral by any means they stick to diplomacy and shrewd deals to get what they want. But do not think them weak; the Federation has armies as vast as the USR and as elite as Amerika. They rule over all the Chinese Empire and are close friends with Communist nations; being Leninist as opposed to Maoist.
The Socialist Republic of Viet Mai Originally a colony of the French Republic the Viet Maiese Republic is powerful in it's own right; ruler of all of south east Asia they command a vast and powerful army of unique property. They are close to the USR and China and hold hostile relations with Amerika due to past-transgressions neither has forgiven the other for.
The United States of Greater Mexicania: The second United States as they are often referred to make their stand in Central America; opponent to Communism but hateful of Amerika due to ongoing conflicts the Mexicanians are in a gray-area with the outcome of their future resting on the Mexicanian-Amerikan War. They are easily a regional power however; commanding a presence in Central and northern South America.
The Nationalist Republic of Germany: A powerhouse in and of it's own right the Nationalist Republic ousted the USR and reunited Germany shortly after the Second World War; they are a state unlike others, their President holds no qualms with using military strength to get what Germany needs. They are protective of Prussia but respect their desire to remain independent. Though western-aligned the Germans are beginning to think that this conflict has drug on long enough and are looking for a way to end it.
The Pruessen Kaiserreich: Though no longer a regional or international power; Prussia was once the ruler of all the world nearly, when over half of Europe lay under the dominion of the Kaiser of Prussia. They have fallen on hard times and little remains of the former glory when the world sang praises to Prussia's name. Close to Germany and opponent to Communism they are the eastern-most Western-aligned State with their capital of Koenigsberg on the very edge of the USR.
The Great Japanese Empire: The Japanese Empire once spanned half of Oceania and consumed significant parts of China. They stand as heroes in the eyes of Asia as those who fight off the Western Barbarians at every turn they can. While currently recovering from the Second World War there is no doubt in anyone's mind that well; simply put. The Rising Sun Never Sets.
The People's Union of India: The successor state of the British Raj, The People's Union is little more than a perverse outcome of the hard fought silent peaceful battle fought by Mahtama Ghandi. Ruled by a tyrannical if not pyschotic dictator India is considered a powderkeg waiting to go off.
The Kingdom of Costa Luna: A tropical paradise island-nation relatively unknown and rather left alone.
The Zionist State of Israel: Three years after its founding, the Zionist State of Israel has been the center of turmoil. After the Great War they returned to their religious homeland in the land of Canaan. After fighting off several Arab nations and insurgencies. The Israelis have finally made a name for themselves in the region. With hopes of becoming a stable and developed power, Israel's leaders will stop at nothing to see there people brought onto the World Stage.
The Triarchy of the Dreieinig Reichstaat: The former colony of German West Africa, this nation (originally called the Southwestern Republic upon gaining independence at the end of the First World War) became an odd meritocratic oligarchy during the early 1930's. Unusual in that it has developed a totally integrated culture consisting of it's three elements (German monarchists, American technocrats, and local Namaquan tribes), the Reichstaat has become a technological and industrial powerhouse, fueled by the immense mineral wealth in their lands. Perhaps limited most by their compartively low population, the Dreieinig government expouses equality of all peoples based upon their merits. The darker side of this is those seen lacking competence, courage, or will... as well as those "wedded to hatred". are treated as less then the lowest prole in the USR. An odd mix of autocracy and freedom, the Dreieinig Reichstaat is like a sleeping lion waiting for it's turn to hunt.
Power Blocs and their affect on the world
The North Atlantic Treatsie Agreement: An economic-military alliance; NATA exists to curtail the spread of Communism, promote peace and liberty and justice for all.
The Eastern Bloc: An economic-military alliance formed after the Second World War, led by the Union of Soviet Republics they intend to unite the world under some type of Communism and generally are mistaken for standing against everything the West stands for.'
The League of Independent Nations: Led by Egypt this economic-military alliance is a haven for all those who have no desire to be involved in the Cold War but still have a care for international politics.

OOC: A note to the moderators; this while it looks like an alternate-universe is infact not and takes place within NS nations in it's own closed setting much like E2 but different from it at the same time. Please don't shut me down, I'll have to cry or something.
Another Note: To Hopeful Players, while this invitiation is open to all, understand that myself and the co-founders of this group are pounding out details. Please expect radical changes until we've settled everything down.
Another Note: We have a map; Abruzi is incharge of said map and until it is posted I would like to see that no one claims anything! Also; contact me by telegram for now until we get things cleared up if you're interested. He's also the co-founder of this idea and a 'moderator' of sense concerning membership and such.
A Final Note: I would prefer that if you do not want your main nation to be for The Forever Lasting Cold that you make a multi/puppet for this group much like EE has set up. Also; I'll be setting up a region for said multi's so I can keep track of you all more easily. While you can use your FLC Nation for other RPs, Nations not of FLC-Origin cannot interact with the Greater-FLC world. Basically E-2's rule simplified.
