78 - will be 79 in June next year. By the time 2029 comes around, he will be 82 - and given the stress of the job, I have a feeling that his second term will not be kind to him on both his aging and mental acuity. We're already seeing some form of decline with him: I can't imagine what it will be like during his second term.

It is about people based on gender, race, or what have you. I think politics should be about things like size of government, costs and taxes, that sort of thing. I think anything that is like if you are a woman vote this way or if you are black vote this way is well racist or sexist.

Have you considered that there are things connected to politics that are tied to these identities, though? And it's impossible to untie them. Abortion rights will affect cis-women and other AFAB people. Trans rights will affect trans people. Gay marriage rights will affect gay people. These are things that the government decides if they are allowed or not, and obviously, the people who these things affect are going to be a greater target for certain topics.

If a woman wants the US government to reinforce free-for-all abortion at a greater limit than 6 weeks in all states, for example, Trump is not for them. Kamala is. It's literally impossible to change that.

Hmmm. I do not like identity politics. I would rather see laws get challenged in the courts if a specific group thinks that their rights are violated. This gets rid of the offensive identity politics and replaces it with less offensive legal advocacy groups. I like this better.

good for you, but that's not how it works. people have beliefs that they don't publicly act on - usually out of fear of backlash - all the damn time. you probably aren't gonna catch an lgbtq+ person coming out of the closet in, say, 1920, for many of the same reasons most people wouldn't publicly admit to being racist in the present day

I misused adjacent as explained before, I meant countries close to the US. Additionally as explained before Canada has cartels but of a different kind.

Well yes Husbands should control their families. I wish I was better at that ho ho! But even though I see the benefits of giving the husband two votes, it seems like a step backward for democracy. I am not as offput by it as I was when I initially encountered it about a year ago, but I am seeing it in a better light after getting more educated on it. This has become an issue lately.
