The Emperor of Der Teutoniker, a surly Dwarf stands, takes a swig of dark ale, and says: "I notice that waiting for anything can be frustrating, even when I have views about that something, this is no reason to lower the voting age. Indeed, should we do this, those opinionated, frustrated 15 year olds would merely be pining for votes, then the 14 year olds." His majesty makes it clear that he is against such a fruitless change of policy.

Diolch (one of the few Welsh words I know) - it means 'thanks,' by the way.

From NSwiki....
Unibot infamously has one of lowest life expectancies in the world, fluctuating from an average of 10-14 Julian years of age since the recent deindustrialization incident which left many living in caves, and treating most common ailments with primal therapy.

IC: Zhilidgo had been asked earlier by the President of Unibot for two things, the first thing was the President needed a scheme to end democracy silently in Unibot, the other request was that Zhilidgo bring Sherbet Lemon ice cream (a banned substance in Unibot) back with him when he visits Parliament next month.

After reading this proposal it dawned on him... "By jose I have it!" .... "get a young, 16 year old photocopy boy to smuggle the ice cream, perfect, they're not liable for their actions anyways. Now to solve that whole 'democratic problem' thingy..."

What?! How can we lower the voting age? At 18 most people don't really have an idea of politics, at 16 most have no idea, It's just what 'sounds cool' at that age. Most teens at that age are more interested in the oppisite sex more than the local mayor or senator.

They do, "lowing" is an alternate term for that act.

My nation cannot comply with this proposal. It would be a logical impossibility to lower something from zero to sixteen.

Its a stereotype. Get over it. I think its a better proposal then whatever the one now is is about all I can get from reading it is that coins are metal.

The current resolution at vote doesn't try to change something that isn't there.

Howardia posts no official limit or requirement on age for political participation within the Nation for general affairs, though electable officials are required, at minimum, to meet the age requirements necessary to transact international business, which has been declared as 18 years. General internal affairs are subject to democratic polling and are open to all ages. The democratic election of new leadership is rare in Howardia; but under the circumstances that such does take place, voter minimum age stands at 18 years. Howardia respects the intent and motive of this resolution, while agreeing that it is not suitable for adoption by the WA.

How would dictatorships have a voting age, if they don't vote in the first place?

What about nations whose constitutions specify that minimum ages for voting age can only be set locally, within each federal or confederal subdivision of the larger country as a whole, rather than by the national government?

Again, what is the point? There are no elections in my kingdom. I don't see any benefit to this.
