Hello and welcome to my first RP. I am not an expert at this, so please let me know if I can improve things.
Rules:

• Use common sense; I'm not an expert, so these rules are not and cannot be exhaustive. Do not abuse loopholes.
• Do not godmod. You state your actions, the affected say how it affects them and how they respond.
• Try to be realistic with your numbers. I am not going to care very much if something is just slightly beyond realistic, because I am not devoted enough to do the calculations, but do not try to do something that is quite obviously impossible and/or unfair.
• Do not go to war or use your military unless it makes sense in the context of the events and your nation's culture. This is not an absolute prohibition. Where it is reasonable, you can go to war.
• If you do go to war, do not forget the importance of logistics. Do not ignore attacks on your logistics.

A note on the Tyrian Sea: This is basically just a region I made for the purpose of housing my nation and the nations form its backstory. You do not need to be in it to play.

A note on each of the nations involved: Exarkyon is, as mentioned below, theocratic. Namely, it is Catholic. It has strong anti-communist policy, so communist nations would default to supporting Tyrios. Exarkyon has a non-hereditary constitutional monarchy with strong anti-corruption measures in place, and has a history of being popular with its people. Tyrios is nominally democratic and takes a dim view of religion. Other theocratic or anti-communist nations would probably default to supporting Exarkyon.

BREAKING NEWS:

In the remote Tyrian Sea, the nation of Tyrios has never recognized Exarkyon. In the distant past, the theocratic Holy Empire of Exarkyon was formed of residents of Tyrios who left to claim their own land after Tyrios began to persecute them for their religion. President Erayon Baniron has been adamant that Exarkyon is not a sovereign nation but merely an extension of Tyrios. Pro-Exarkyon sources focus on how Tyrios has an ongoing history of persecuting religious people, who make up the majority of Exarkyon, while pro-Tyrios sources emphasize Exarkyon's system of government, which is not a republic like most, and the origin of its people from Tyrios.

In 1915, the Republic of Tyrios brought military forces into Exarkyon, citing the above claim of ownership. Exarkyon did not let them enter. This war lasted one year, and Tyrios failed to take the nation. Things remained uneasily peaceful afterwards. Until now.

The year is 2023. President Baniron has repeated the claim that Exarkyon belongs to Tyrios. This was not notable, as the claim had been repeated ever since 1916 and nothing had come of it. However, Tyrios has also mobilized its military and demanded a capitulation from Exarkyon. Iraxon III, Arkon of Exarkyon, has refused his demands. War seems near.

Both Exarkyon and Tyrios have reached out for international support; the former calls for aid upholding its rightful sovereignty from an enemy with ongoing religious persecutions, while the latter requests support disposing of an illegitimate theocracy made of its own citizens. With international support for each nation beginning to pile up, you find yourself confronted with a decision to make: Exarkyon or Tyrios?

When the RP starts, I will put major events here so new participants do not need to read through everything.

• Riomler sent Exarkyon F-36 fighters.
• Exarkyon received S-400 anti-air systems from Kanilion.
• Scytharum provided a supply convoy to Exarkyon.
• New Aswal showed support for Exarkyon.
• Neibeskiya sent weapons and tanks to Exarkyon.
• Golyna, Gabeonia, and Relikai showed support for Exarkyon.
• Tyrios marched troops into unclaimed territory surrounding Exarkyon, but did not yet invade due to being outnumbered.
• The United States and Zygon decided to support Tyrios.
• Tyrios sent more forces and supplies into the unclaimed territory around Exarkyon. They also set up artillery positions, giving Exarkyon a dilemma: let Tyrios seize the advantage or fire the first shot.
• Iraxon III Arkon and President Baniron called or attended strategic meetings of their respective allies.
• Neibeskiya was forced to withdraw aid due to becoming involved in its own war.

The Nation of Orcuo would like to announce it is in support of Tyrios. As such, military aid as been sent to the country. This includes ammo, weapons, armored vehicles, tanks, air crafts, fighter planes, small battleships, and small range ICBMs. The state also offers EMP bombs and network hacking tools to the state.

Iraxon III of Exarkyon goes to the Vatican to seek the Pope's input on the crisis. President Erayon Baniron of Tyrios takes a diplomatic visit to Bigtopia, hoping to get the latter on his side.

Obviously Mr Iraxon III hasn’t learned to respect higher-ups so as my final slap to the pathetic Exarkyon regime, I’ll be supplying Tyrios with a few more ICBMs, ones that include more advanced targeting and dodging systems. I’ll also be gifting 2 nuclear submarines.

Seeing that Tyrios has ongoing religious persecutions against all religious people in its borders, it is clear to us that a Tyrian takeover poses a threat to the spiritual health of the people. We will fight to the end for the faith of our people. It is better for us to be annihilated in nuclear fire than for Tyrios to eliminate the faith from our midst. We will not surrender to Tyrios, at least not without sufficient protection of Exarkrion Catholicism, which we are quite aware Tyrios in unwilling to allow.

President Erayon Baniron responded:

It is preposterous to us that this dictator can say he would rather his whole populace be killed than educated out of their cult, while still pretending to be a sane human being. This statement only goes to show why we must free Exarkyon from that theocratic regime.

A social media campaign, #SalvranIraxir, begins, consisting of Exarkrion citizens proclaiming their support for Iraxon. Tyrian sources claim these people are either coerced into posting, brainwashed by "the Vatican's cult," or they do not exist, being simulated by bots.

[Scytharum]

Scytharum issues a condemnation of Tyrios for its escalation of tensions, and stresses Exarkyon's functionally independent status. Scytharum sends a small convoy, with food and medicine, over to Exarkyon, to keep the nation from starving in the event of a breakout of war.

Two relatively small hovercraft naval vessels are sent, carrying the supplies, and are accompanied by medical personnel in charge of dropping off said supplies and remaining to administer care, if deemed necessary or requested.

Iraxon III sends thanks to both nations New Aswal and Scytharum for their support. A diplomatic meeting is held between Iraxon and his opposite number, Tyrian President Erayon Baniron, but nothing comes of it.

Having observed Orcuo's behavior in other RP's, I have decided that he is henceforth threadbanned, and all his previous actions are voided. Support from other nations is not, including the SAMs.

With Kanilion's conflict winding down, a transport flotilla consisting of 2,000 motor-rifle infantrymen of the 14th Guards Rifles would head towards Exarkyon with the intention of repaying the favor of defensive obligations. Together with them will be 100 BMPs and 5 Hind helicopters. The Government of Kanilion requests that they be allowed to set up a small camp of Exarkyon's choosing. Additional technicians who can upkeep the S-400 systems will be sent as well.

Neibeskiya Sacntions Tyrios for war mongering and crimes against humanity.We also offer 5000 volunteers for the war against tyrios.

Golyna, hoping to establish a sphere of influence in the region, sends the nuclear battle-cruiser Callahan to the region, in support of Exarkyon(SIC). The official reason for support is alleged human rights abuses by Tyrios. Further support will come later on as Golyna mobilizes more naval infantry expeditionary forces to participate in this conflict.

Yaranya sends two frigates in support of Tyrios(but mostly against Golyna (SIC)) by orders of the dictator for life. Infantry units are on their way to the sea

The Federation of Gabeonia supports Exarkyon and will immediately send weapons.

The Gabeonian National Army recently received equipment upgrades so they will give surplus equipment to Exarkyon.

The aircraft will not be escorted by any attack aircraft and the crew will be unarmed. Any Tyrios attack on the aircraft will be met with the full force of the Gabeonian Armed Forces. The Federation reserves its right to have and use WMDs.

Kanilion is authorized to encamp on a set of hills known as the Barrier. This location encloses Exarkyon on the side that faces Tyrios. In the Exarkrion War (historical conflict between Tyrios and Exarkyon), it was the site of an important battle.

[Gabeonia]

Over the past 3 days, 150 Gabeonians (who were once part of the Gabeonian Armed Forces) visited military recruitment offices around Exarkyon City wanting to start a foreign legion. They come with their own uniforms, vests, helmets, and communications equipment. All they need is weapons.

Gabeonia announces further military aid for Exarkyon. Gabeonia sends 3 S-300 SAM systems with basic radar systems and 500 Igla MANPAD launchers with 1000 missiles. Gabeonia also donates 15 BMP-1KD IFVs and ammunition for its armament.

From President Nightwall: "The Federation of Gabeonia wants to support the rightful existence of The Holy Empire of Exarkyon. We will do everything we reasonably can to ensure this. We will continue to provide weapons and intelligence to Exarkyon and we hope this can start a strong alliance to prevent conflict between Exarkyon and Tyrios in the future."

Immediately following this message the President announced a full trade embargo with Tyrios and Tyrian citizens are not permitted to enter Gabeonia.

Gabeonian National News reports the movement of Gabeonian Navy ships out of the harbor in Middleton. This movement includes destroyers, cruisers, and 2 aircraft carriers. Additional tracking of the ships shows them heading toward the Tyrian Sea.
