The Pit (IC)

[Quasi-Stellar Star Civilizations]

The competitors approach the Entrance to the Pit. Automated doors open into a large arena, about 1 mile in diameter. The pathway in their eyes vanishes as they look out to find a crowd millions strong cheering them on. In the middle of the arena, a tower stood with an Orb at the top.
In that Orb, the High Gamemaster and his subordinates watched over the arena and made announcements.

Suddenly, the Orb projected the face of the High Gamemaster, signaling the fight to come.
"Welcome, all from across the Multiverse to the greatest spectacle you will ever see! Here in the Pit, competitors from every corner of the multiverse will compete for the title of Master of the Multiverse and 100,000 NSD! We only have 3 rules: No harming the audience, last one standing wins, and have fun! Now, the competitors will have 5 minutes to disperse through this arena before they will be allowed to fight for real.
"Now, let us begin!"

The High Gamemaster's face disappeared, and in its place stood a 5-minute timer, counting down to the fight.

[Cabernet Sauvignon]

Slowly, almost reverently, the dark figure astride a warhorse made its way toward the Entrance. Adorned in armor, its mere form evoking carnage, light reached the Knight. Magic surged across the surface of the metal plates, pulsing red and leaving a stringy black mist in its wake.

Unruffled by the cacophony, the Knight stood proudly. Under the helm, he watched carefully. It wouldn't do to die of bloodlust.

Damon takes off runing, the EXO implants in his legs adding to his speed and endurance. In a matter of seconds, he clears 800', running fast, yet barly winded. He keeps up his run, reaching the opposite side of the center easily. There, he stops, watching the other people.

[Aurelleon]

An older man with a suit and tie under a bulletproof vest steps into the arena. “Well then…let the games begin. He opens his pack of newly bought magic cards and begins to shuffle. “It’s time for an old dog to show off his new tricks.” He lays some cards on the floor and suddenly creatures begin to be summoned. The cardmaster had summoned 6 knights into the battlefield to defend him.

"To Valhalla!"
A shout echoed through the arena.
Ingvar Korhonen stepped into the Pit, a longbow in his left hand and a battleaxe in his right.
He struck the axe into the ground, with a thunderous booming sound that rattled the walls of the Pit.
"Do you dare challenge me!?" he taunted. "For I am the one and only Ingvar Korhonen, the Last Viking!"
The Last Viking was a name given to him by the Rigel Viking Society, in honor of his unparalleled courage and combat prowess.
He spun his battleaxe around a bit, with it head on the floor and the hilt in his hand.

After looking around at the other contestants, Ingvar chuckled to himself slightly.
"Ha! What amateurs! They wouldn't even know a real weapon if it killed them!"

"Hmm... I have to watch for tthe Card Master," Damon mused to himself. "Ingvar seems mostly show. A good bullet would put him down. I don't know about that knight dude. I'll have to watch for him. Might as well move." Damon got up and moved off towards the eastern wall, his natural sense of direction failing him not.

The sprinter may have reflexes to match his speed. As for the man who has brought a retinue, he can provide more opponents - there's no need to eliminate him yet.

The irritatingly obnoxious man with a bow.

The Knight of Infamy eased his steed from his Entrance (mentally designated at 6:00), toward Ingvar, intending to halt safely out of range - about 300 meters away.

He's thinking that he can play whack-a-mole with the cardmaster, until he runs out of mana. Are his knights mounted?

Damon pulls his axe off his back and proceeds to hit buttons on it.

"Oh yeah, this'll do..."

The countdown reached zero, and the High Gamemaster reappeared.

"Let the brawl begin!"

This marked the beginning of the actual fighting.

Damon grabs his axe from where it was laying on the floor and scanned the room. He couldn't see anyone immediatly, so he ran from where he was...

[Aurelleon]

“We’ll start of the defensive. Knights form a cavalry defense formation.” The cavalry knights shifted into a defensive formation with the cardmaster riding a horse in the middle.

[Eragon Island]

"Ah... ohh, dammit. He has people with him... wait, did he summon them?"

Damon tries to run right by, but as he was, he tripped, falling face first a foot off to the side of where the Cardmaster and people would be going over in 30 sec

Before the competitors could meet each other, obstacles popped out of the ground, turning the arena into a giant maze and making quick movement impossible.

These walls were 30 meters high and completely smooth, making climbing them almost impossible.

[Aurelleon]

“Ah, it’s you again. Are you here to kill me?” Cardmaster asked and the 4 knights surrounding him prepare their spears and swords to fight.

Walls divided the two and he lost sight of Damon. “Well I guess I am alone now.”

Before the competitors could meet each other, obstacles popped out of the ground, turning the arena into a giant maze and making quick movement impossible.

That is why I tripped...

"Ah shit..." Damon says as a giant block in the floor slams into him as he gets up, throwing him 20 feet into another wall. "Ow, that fucking hurt."

Damon gets up against the wall, sitting down, and works on fixing his gun, which had been damage as the floor threw him up. The case had become dislodged, and the bullets had rolled across the ground, disappearing into the murk.

"Seems like I'm stuck with my axe."

Luckily, his axe was only a foot away, sparking electricity, and he picked it up.

"Time to rest to heal- Oh SHIT!"

The walls are too high, riders won't be able to see and archers won't be able to shoot.

There really wasn't a way to navigate the maze, and he didn't need to tire out his steed. Dismounting noisily, he led his warhorse in the vague direction of the center.

[Eragon Island]

It turns out Damon had a problem.
One of his ribs was sticking out of him.

"Well, I am out of this- Oh wait. I'm an IDIOT!" Damon says as he slaps his face. "I still have that life syringe *People Playground Reference* that I stole!"

He jabs it into his arm and immediately feels the liquid flowing through his body. He could feel his body mending itself. Damon estimated it'd take a minute to heal him fully...

[The Dystopian Mandate]

"YOOOOOOOOOOO LETS GOOOOO I'M IN THE ARENA!!!!!" said The Kingpin, who quite obviously lacked any sort of combat discipline.
"They'll hear us!" said an Underling, quite annoyed.
"What did you just say, you little-"
"Nothing, sir."
"You really think I'd buy that? Underlings, kill him!"
"Why should we? We are your only defense. You can't stop us," said all of the Underlings in unison.
"Just this once. You wouldn't get away with this back home! Now MARCH!"

[Eragon Island]

Damon heals fully and gets up. He travels 10', but he hears yelling in the distance. He decides to abandon his plan to head to the stands, and instead heads towards the yelling...

Jonathan blue walks through the maze dribbling his soccer ball. He wonders who he’s going to fight first and what their abilities may be. He knows he’s going to shock them for sure because their is no way they would ever expect their enemy in a fight to the death being a pro soccer player.

Mewtwo: "Dangit I thought this would be easy!" and starts minuvering through the walls

Mega charzard X trys to minuver, but he knows his opponents have a tactical advantage. so he stays back for now.

The competitors hear clanging in the distance, marking the arrival of a new obstacle.

The maze suddenly becomes transparent, then reflective, turning it all into a giant house of mirrors.
