The Mystical Alliance Gameplay Thread

Regional Overview:
From 30th January 2020 to 25th August 2020 The Mystical Alliance served as a roleplay merger region between the now fallen The Mystical Council and the Solar Alliance. Today, The Mystical Alliance is a casual homebrew fantasy region, as well as the home region of The Mystical Guard.

House of The Mystical Guard, Headquarters
225 Fortress Avenue, Saedova, Aurora Forest

The Commandant sits behind his desk, report in hand. This hasn't been his first rodeo, but it is definitely his first real interaction with the wider multiverse. The Auroras shimmer brightly outside his window, glowing rouge as he stands from his seat and turns towards them. He stares out the window for a few seconds before being interrupted by a messenger volai. With a short but stiff bark, the volai drops a piece of parchment at the grizzled Wolfic's feet.
"We really should stop using volai for parchment messages..." The commandant grumbles as he picks it up. After a quick glance he interjects, "What? What do you mean, The Lurace slayed Gyriel? Himself?" He continues reading, until the final few lines snag his full attention.

Research into the Mystical Realms has shown that the Ashlands contain the way to take the fight to the ones who destroyed the council and laid waste to the city of Petraev. This is what happened today, as we and our like minded allies stormed the realm of the Islamic States. Continue your excursions into the Ashlands, and find them all. Also a quick sidenote;
You know the Volai carrying this parchment is the same one that carried the head of the priest named Gyrial? No? You should probably wash your hands and burn this piece of parchment.

The Commandant flung the parchment into the fire and scurried to the wash. All that could be read was the following:

A tale for the ages! This is only the first of many heads to roll as we press further beyond the far reashes of the realm of the mystics. It'll be a long, painful process, but the time will come when Raider Unity will shatter. We'll be there every step of the way >:)

It would be an honor and a privilege to be destroyed by your hand, after what we did to The Mystical Council. It won't happen, but I'd love the narrative if you pulled it off :hug:

This is a certified bruh moment.

After their failure to occupy the Philippines, Raiders set their sights on Warzone Airspace, where they done goofed: They resigned the WA Delegacy in the middle of an occupation. Why did they do it? I don't know, something about "regrouping" apparently. I was too busy eating a hamburger and nudging a couple cool people to join in the pile to care about the reason.

Probably an hour before update, the majority of the raiders waived a white flag, and ran away. Maybe it was the looming threat of the Curse? Or was it because they actually met resistance from natives and a defender force? Whatever, it made our job much easier, and saved the Aervirat, and the nations of Warzone Airspace from losing months of hard work. Still didn't prevent this massive headache though.

At the end of the day, this "reclamation" was such a blunder that even the raiders knew they were gonna be on the receiving end of a yeet-hammer.

I had a feeling someone was gonna say something about it. Emphasis mine.
I was one of the nations in that raid, and in all honesty, at some point I was just like "why the F am I taking orders from some random person on a browser-based nation simulator? Am I really that bored?" So I did some high-quality detagging, or as much as I could, anyway, and went back to reading Throne of Glass. When Repreteop literally resigned the delegacy to go somewhere else with it I had a feeling stuff was about to go downhill.

Yeah, if you have plans to do a thing, don't involve Repreteop in those plans. Repreteop's involvement is sure to doom your plans before they ever have a chance to get started.

The Mystical Guard, Field Report
What's the Underboss' house doin?

Well, it was a normal day of Commandant Wolf pondering the orb, when he found a region with pestilence widespread. Hearing about a few Mafiosos in his general area, he reached out to them. He has worked with them before, but he wasn't expecting Grizzled Mercs, Sekhmet’s Legionnaires, Soldiers wearing Sparkling purple bands, and a wild Bestinor to be chilling in the Consigliere’s office.

This just got interesting.

They went to a cold stable, with no beasts, just a strange wagon the likes never seen before from the old guard.
As a horn from within the strange iron wagon blew, A witch took the charge, followed by everyone else present. While speeding down the street at speeds previously unknown to him, he spots a villa soaring through the air, with the right trajectory to slam into the hostile camp.

The Commandant didn't expect the underboss to hurl his house at the problematic invaders. No one did. Everyone was amazed at the absurdity of a building literally flying through the air. In an uproar, with unified shouts and chips of “RIP that residency stat!” the Delegacy was seized.

Yes. I'm not sure what they think they're doing, really. After we raided BoS (their frontier, had a fash tag), they then did their own raid of another region, but claiming to be The Warzone Trinidad Mafia in doing so (they are not). Needless to say we got them to stop doing that. The sleet dispatch we threw up on BoS when we raided it as well, which is likely where they nicked it from (they only pinned it afterwords), and is likely just another attempt to copy us? To what end? Again I could not tell you what their motivation for doing so is, though it may just be incompetence rather then malice at this point. At the end of the day, all we really know is that they were involved in a fash frontier though, and that part is undeniable fact so.

The Mystical Guard Field Command
Guard Command Center, Guard Trenches, Defender Great Line, Philippines

Reports of pestilence are beginning to reach the Commandant's desk. It isn't too uncommon in a combat zone for infections to spread, but the reports are unsettling to say the least. He places his stomach churning report down, and seconds later, a Wolfic Aerial Mage Officer swings open the tent flap, out of breath.
"Sir... Sir. Infected have been spotted 17 KM to the East. We are expecting contact within the next 15 hours."

The Malcholmite chief artificer, the very one who designed the Guard's section of the Trench chimes in. "Commandant, Our Trenches are some of the best built here, not to praise Malcholmite workmenship. We should have more than enough firepower and shelter to protect ourselves."

The Alistian maritime officer, pondering the magic orb looks up and says "That may be the case, however the infected will cut off our supply lines, save Aerial Mages transporting lifesaving supplies between our allies, and our intelligence already recovered intel from the enemy forces suggesting they will take actions to counterattack allied lines."

The Commandant inquires "What is the state of our Allies?"

"Similar position as us. The troops who haven't been able to set up their fighting positions properly are bound to be swarmed, and reinforcements are unlikely to break through the swarm heading in our direction." The Aerial Mage reports.

"Hopefully we can break enemy control before reinforcements run dry." the Commandant mutters into his cup of tea.

Comments from the Commandant:
October has been quite the month for The Mystical Guard.
We started off with the raid on Solidarity, a monumental effort of 20+ Regions and mercs. We carried that momentum to the Raid of Palmeto, Working with Warzone Trinidad, Sparkalia, Astoria and others there.
Then we turned around, joined in the successful liberation of Far East Oriental Federation; where there were awe inspiring numbers each jump.
And of course, now to end the month, we are in Philippines, working hard to liberate the region. Since there's obviously countless reports that have piled up this month, and I've been to busy IRL to process them all, I'd like to say this-
Thank you all for participating, be allies, "enemies" or even fellow guards.
Without you all, October would've been quite the boring month.

Greetings Friends, Regionmates and Allies.

The New Year can be a tough time for folks, and for me personally - it’s bittersweet. If you are in need of some help, this factbook here contains resources for you to use.

I’m thankful for all of my friends and regionmates and for those who spent their time with the Alliance and the lost Council. For Alistia, Parakka Northland, and Malcholm, who set aside their time to build up the region for what is to follow in the State of the Alliance address which is to follow. And finally, I'm thankful for you, the person reading this. Thank you all for being here, and spending your time with me on this 20+ year old web browser game. I hope, no matter how 2023 went for you, 2024 will be much better. Happy New Year.

STATE OF THE ALLIANCE

The Mystical Alliance has a lot planned for the new year, with significant progress to our region’s Role Play, thanks to Parakka’s hard work and the input of Sanguria, The World map of Rofaw is up. You might have noticed that my nations have gotten swapped around, with my former flagship R/D Puppet being the one I have in the region, and that is because of the RP that is in development, and Wolfana sounds a little better than Wolflandil.

Another thing that will be going up full scale soon is the Adventurers Guild, The Alliance’s card farm. Keep an eye out for bounties, as the prizes may be a Legendary card!

The Mystical Guard will continue operations into the new year and will continue to fight our adversaries. Compared to 2022, 2023 has proven to be a very operation-oriented year. Islamic States, Solidarity, Palmetto, and the Fascist cesspit region, Sacrumterra- All fell at the hands of The Guard and our partners. The Guard was out there in the majority of the major liberations and sieges, for better or for worse as well. To Wrap up the year, The Guard and our partners in Libcord amassed 123 defenses on December 29th’s Major update.

There will be more in store for the next State of the Alliance address, after we accomplish the tasks at hand.
