Santaral Island, located 8 kilometers off the coast of Janpia, is a small municipal island administered by the Alyavask region. It has its own local government under its municipality, led by elective unions that manage the island's administrative affairs. The island's total population of 228 people is declining every year as people seek better job opportunities on the mainland. The island has 4 districts: Tesugra District, Ereno District, Huscha District, and the largest, Sangonomisch District. The districts are linked by a single-track railway or a two-way road, making everything on the island accessible by foot or train. The majority of the island is dominated by two mountains: Mount Pojukai, which houses the Sontakai Temple, and Mount Saratakai, which is located in the east. The sacred Wazukschan River divides the island, where a spirit known as Wazuk resides along its banks in pursuit of her spouse, according to mythology. Among the notable spots on the island are the Cultural Center of Santaral in Sangonomisch District; Tesu Beach along the coast of Tesugra District; and the Union Assembly Hall in Huscha District. Due to the island's limited population, there is only one clinic in the region staffed by two healthcare employees, two Public Marshals buildings, a single temple staffed by a single shrine maiden, and a single educational institution teaching up to high school. The island is only accessible by ferry which makes two trips daily, while the Revolutionary Maritime Guards handle its security.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN:
Alyana, a former member of the Kalinka Guards Unit and scavenger of Oceania, just got a small vial from Oceania that was intended to be transferred to Sansakan Airbase. The reason? No one bloody knows, as what was supposed to be a top-secret vial for highly classified research got its address swapped and misunderstood. Who would have guessed that the name Sansakan and Santaral would be so similar? Regardless, Alyana and her toaster friend, Becky, were on their way to a peaceful and quiet life on this sleepy island where no one could follow or bother them. She just got her own room in a rundown apartment and was laid-off from duty after successfully
Now, back to Alyana. Being a complete dummy, Alyana drank the vial without Becky's knowledge and subsequently underwent some metamorphosis, transforming herself into a white eldritch.
WHO ARE YOU:
I don't know. BUT, you are given a mysterious invitation to join in an "experimental expedition," which, according to the description, could result in injury or, worse, death. Those who were interested were, of course, given a confidentiality agreement in exchange for say- 50 million untraceable NSDs and other benefits. If that doesn't entice you, you can also keep whatever you find on the expedition, like say, some questionable items you find along the way. Also yes, you can bring your own weapons. But it wouldn't be wise to bring a rifle chambered into something uncommon on the island am I right? Anywho, if you are interested, well you are in for an adventure! Here is your contract paper. Don't worry if it's too informal. Just let bureaucracy handle the rest.
