To be fair, you actually should be teaching people about sex toys inc. butt plugs in sex ed because:

1. people use sex toys
2. you would rather not have people showing up to ED with things lodged up their rectum

I think it's very unlikely this is a huge deal, some of the stuff sounds inappropriate for a sexual education course but alot of it could be fine or taken just totally taken out of context. Also- 14 year olds don't really take classes with 18 year olds most of the time especially mandatory ones- it would be weird if they had the same exact course. Even there we're assuming all of this is referencing students- "they" could also be a reference to instructors who underwent a refresher or had training materials presented to them to ensure the lessons were appropriate and on the same page. The mention of the drag performer coming in with cookies may not even relate to the sex-ed course if you're doing an LGBT thing I don't think it's inherently inappropriate. There are lots of things you can do with manipulative editing but the big picture here is that WHATEVER happened didn't hit the news or social media till Veritas got ahold of it so the most hypersensitive parent at that school didn't hear anything that alarmed them.

The fact that there are 14 and 18yo in the same class makes me suspect that this is a sex ed/health class, which usually are a class any student at any grade level can take for a graduation requirement. If it is a sex ed course, then this is even less of an issue.

It was an optional lunchtime seminar. During pride week, so it was focusing on LGBT+ safe sexual practices. Context naturally left out for maximum outrage.

i think the introduction of sex toys should come at a senior year, not that they shouldnt be taught about sex and masturbation. As Ive mentioned before the introduction of these items are a little too much for a younger audience imho and should be taught later.

Fuck it, gonna just say it - what exactly is wrong with this? They're not children, they're people who are in some cases legal adults, and most of them are almost definitely having sexual encounters. When I was 14, (gonna try and keep it PG13 here) I was insanely horny and while not using sex toys probably would have if given the chance. These aren't like, 8 year olds dude. Most people are doing sexual shit by 14/15.
