Who is the FNMA?
We, the FNMA are a confederation of automotive brands native to Vitaphone Racing. The FNMA was founded as a group as a means of exporting our small brands to the world, opening our doors to more clients and opening the doors of clients to the exclusive and exquisite automobiles produced by the brands under the FNMA.

Our products
As mentioned above, we provide access to automotive brands not seen anywhere else in the world. Buying from FNMA gaurantees the buyer exclusitivity, uniqueness and a certain satisfaction that owning a certified automotive masterpiece can provide. Currently, a dozen brands are considered to be a part of the FNMA umbrella with several of these brands putting their hands up to commence sales. Unfortunately, the nature of these cars means that they will not last for ever, and the FNMA is permitted to sell a maximum of six cars overseas at a time, so remember, ignoring an opportunity can mean missing out forever.

Ordering our Products
An FNMA dealer can be set up within your nation, should you request. Only one dealer per nation is permitted, and required. Dealers may house showroom models only and any and all cars will be imported directly from Vitaphone Racing; they will not be stored or located outside of their home country.

Buyers can also choose to order straight from the factory. This can be done by lodging a request in this storefront, specifying the model and purchaser. Be aware, limits of one per customer apply and cars are in strictly limited numbers.

Storm Automotive, more commonly known by the Arabic translation of it's name, was founded Kamran Al-Amir in 2007 with the sole intention of producing some of the most extreme and involving automobiles on the planet. Al-Amir, a wealthy oil tycoon and a native of Vitaphone Racing, reportedly tired of experiencing the usual suspects of high class automobiles and annoyed with their lack of driver focus decided to put his own automotive knowledge to the ultimate test and create automobiles that were worthy of his praise. Al-Amir started off by purchasing his own automotive workshop, then proceeded to design his first automobile, the Tyhpoon, himself. While some might debate whether one man who has no previous experience of designing cars is capable of producing a masterpiece, the Typhoon is surely an argument against the doubters.

Image

The Typhoon, also more commonly known by the Arabic translation, was finally released to the general public in 2009. Unlike many contemporary offerings from its supercar rivals, the Typhoon could never be truthfully called a beautiful car. Its sharp creases, plain exterior and angular styling are somewhat of a standout amongst a car class which pays such attention to exterior detail. Instead, the Typhoon lets its powerful engine and honed dynamics set it apart from the rest, and to great effect.

The Typhoon was designed from the start to set records, both on and off the track. The first hurdle the designers faced was the choice of powerplant. Should they aim for high displacement for maximum torque, or high rpm's for maximum top end power? Should they use superchargers, turbochargers, both or neither? Finally, the designers opted for a massive 7.0 Litre V12 engine, designed in-house at great expense by Storm Automotive. The benefits of the in house design meant that the enourmous engine could be tailored specifically to meet the requirements of the Typhoon super car.

The 7.0 Litre V12 engine is constructed out of an all-aluminium block to give it exceptionally light weight yet offer a withstanding of the intense forces of heat and energy that would be produced inside each of the cylinder blocks when this engine was running, let alone at maximum RPM's for extended durations. Carburettors were considered, then discarded in favour of direct injection technology. The V12 uses double overhead cams to lift a total of seventy two valves, or six valves (three entry, three exit) valves per cylinder. This design minimizes the upwards pressure of the cylinder on the exhaust stroke, yet maximizes the downwards pressure of the fuel and air mixture on the induction stroke. The entire engine is dry-sumped and water cooled to maintain its performance edge over long distances. The use of a dry-sump over a wet sump is due to the lower centre of gravity a dry (or seperately located) sump will provide and an increase in oil capacity. Water cooling was favoured over air cooling due to the concerns the mid-mounted engine may be starved of oxygen if air cooling was used, not to mention the more effective coolant system.

Image

The compression ratio of this engine is, naturally, very high of 12.0.1 which along with its comparitively high redline of 8000rpm, allows the engine to utilize power from a very wide rev band, not unlike a Formula 1 car. Variable Valve timing constantly alters the intake and exhaust valves to ensure pressure is kept to a maximum to sustain high engine power. Power output is as a result, staggering. 490kw is produced at 7550rpm and is sustained until the 8000rpm limit and cut-out. Torque output reflects the large displacement perfectly, with a stunning 720nm on tap from 5750rpm.

This enourmous output is channeled by a Formula 1 inspired gearbox, manufactured by reknown race builder Centaur. The SS-7 is a double clutch sequential gearbox, with gears 1,3,5,7 mounted on one shaft, with 2,4,6 mounted on a seperate shaft. This means that when a driver swaps a gear, the next gear is already lined up and ready to engage, cutting shift times by a significant amount over single clutch or torque converter gear boxed. The SS-7 weighs in at just 95kg, making it the perfect choice for a car of this stature.

Designing the chassis was always going to be the next big hurdle, some might even argue that it should have been the first. Instead, the Typhoon was designed around the engine that would power it. Noting the still hefty weight of the aluminium V12 lump, the cabin was pushed forwards by 50mm to allow the firewall to be pushed 70mm fore. This would allow the V12 to slot in perfectly in front of the rear axle, preventing the car from understeering as it accelerated due the the engine unbalancing the car. Special flattened fuel tanks were also mounted slightly more forward than orignally intended, bringing the weight distibution to a respectable 47:53 for a mid mounted car. Having 53% of the weight over the rear axle does bear its advantages, the Typhoon can put its power down much more easily than other front engined super cars.

The Chassis and body is designed out of lightweight aluminium; high density materials being placed around the frame of the cabin to accommodate driver's safely, low density and medium density materials being used elsewhere. The exclusion of steel from the frame drops weight by 20%, while not sacrificing body rigitity or body strength.

Image

Body panels are constructed from carbonfibre and aluminium. Carbonfibre is used for the roof, lowering the center of gravity and shaving 50kg off the kerb weight, air intakes, front splitter, bonnet, rear boot lid, and spoiler, whilse aluminium is used for other body panels and doors. Carbonfibre is enforced by a thin layer of aluminium on the underside of the panel.

The interior is designed for speed, lightweight materials, non-invasive screens and dials, minimal creature comforts. Many would accurately describe the interior as ulitarian, sparse and uninviting, but you would be unlikely to notice when travelling at speed.

Seats are fixed back racing buckets made by Sparco, which are personally fitted for the driver. The passenger seat can also be personally tailored, or can be selected from a vast variety of possible settings.

The three point racing wheel also mounts two gearlevers on either side of the wheel, with which the driver uses to sequentially ascend or decline through the gear ratios. Gear levers are electronically connected to the gearbox instead of hydraulically, not to provide feel but to provide instantaneous responses, and to allow the gear levers to be mounted on the spinning steering wheel, rather than off to the side. The advantage of this means the driver does not have to take his hand of the wheel when turning corners.

The interior can be customized with a number of fittings for those less obsessed with the requirement for minimum weight. One consideration customers may request is the fitting of the multimedia package, which mounts a 9" screen above the centre console, a four speaker stereo system, MP3/CD player with USB plug, climate control and sattelite navigation. Seating fabric and inserts may also be a consideration, with twenty different colours available and several different choices of leather and stichings.

Image

In conclusion, the Typhoon is car designed to inspire your senses, challenge your abilities and bring excitement to your life. Opening the throttle on an empty road or a race circuit, the same grin will fill your face as the car effortlessly powers forward with an exhaust and engine note to die for.

Dragoon

Image

Jinete was founded in 1853 as a luxury coach builder, supplying the whims of royalty with comfortable transport. When the first automobile was released in 1888, Jinete jumped at the chance to switch industries and build luxury motor coaches instead. Jinete, from the start, was an extremely exclusive brand, selling to only very wealthy and priveliged customers, not advertising to the general public and relying on their reputation to sell our accomplished automobiles. In the past one hundred and twenty years Jinete has manufactured automobiles, less than 10,000 have ever been produced. In 2010, Jinete produces just one automobile, the Dragoon, a name plate which has lasted over a century.

Unlike many older and exclusive brands, Jinete is not overly obsessed with it's strong heritage and this is evident in the modern and futuristic looks of its products, and the technology that they are factory fitted with.

The Dragoon is a two door, two seat luxury coupe which has been created for and aimed at the individual who appreciates the finer touches in life. While not being a true sports car, nor being a practical car, the Dragoon looks to carve the Grand Tourer niche which has become a cut-throat market over the years.

Sattelite Navigation and the processing unit comes from Aerospace Company ALC, an organization usually famed for producing fighter jets. This expertise has been put to use within Forza cars and their subsequent sub-brands to create a system unlike any other, ahead of the pack in terms of processing speed, user interface and tacticality.

As one could expect, Calypso is more than just a satellite navigation system - indeed, it can be described more as a virtual co-driver, plus a serious in-car entertainment suite. Calypso includes 2 front-mounted, 2 rear-mounted and 4 side-mounted visual/IR cameras, and front and rear active ultrasonic scanners, scanning the surroundings.
For processing all this data, the system includes a powerful (16-pipeline 3,200 MHz RISC) computer system, which compares the 3D data from the satellites to the positional information and camera input. Calypso also functions like a personal computer, offering the user 8 TB of hard drive space for films, games, music, and anything else. With a broadband network connection, it can be used for tasks ranging from browsing and high-speed downloading to stock trading.

While all the same 5" to 16" touchscreens as in Tarvos are available, and a full voice input is integrated, an innovation in Calypso is an optional display system derived from the one installed in ALC, a company from Vault 10, fighter jets. It involves installing a high-grade cathode ray projection system into the dashboard into the roof and applying a thin film selective-band reflector to the windscreen. With a resolution of up to 2x3200x2000 in the top model, Calypso is capable of projecting color images directly on the screen. Such images can include navigational markers, warnings, and, at dark time, a night vision view of the road ahead, overlaid with the actual visible image. Of course, the passenger's part of the windscreen (and the driver's part when not in motion) can be also used for entertainment purposes
