Noting that Haiku
Has not done much other than
Write some poetry,

While that poetry
Is somewhat interesting
All it truly is,

Is five seven five
Syllables per line of prose
With little meaning,

While respectable
It is not worthy of a
Commendation from,

The Council known as
The Security Council
For simple haikus,

The Security
Council shall repeal "Commend
Haiku" here today.


this probably needs some major modifications before it could possibly pass

Against. Haiku deserves commendation but the proposal doesn't capture the full picture. Unless there is an immediate replacement, I stand firmly against.
