[Bakivaland]

In the Bakivish colony of Madagascar, several displays of civil unrest have been demonstrated recently. This month, an insurrection was staged at the Efitrano Renivohitra (lit. Capital Hall) in Antananarivo, leaving many local police injured. At that point, it was becoming more and more clear to the Bakivish Government that something must be done to put an end to these riots. Eventually, militias where formed to combat the Bakivish rulers and gain independence. There are several different independence movements, although they all wish to control the entire island of Madagascar.

Bakivaland seeks aid, as hostile militiamen are caught firing guns at Bakivish forces. Several scuffles have began, particularly in Antananarivo, where the violence had left many dead and many more injured. Many want peace, seeing it as a wonderful thing that native leaders have been put in charge, meanwhile their former French leaders often weren't as nice. The Colonial Government simply wants the unrest to end, and the central Bakivish Government wants the situation to resolve without them losing land. The three majors independence movements are as follows: the Republic of Madagascar, the Anarchists, and the Reformed Republic of Madagascar.

The Republic of Madagascar wishes to remain separate and sovereign from their colonial leaders. The Republic is made of loosely knit coalitions of local militiamen who wish to form an independent Republic. Some of the Republic wish to remain separate from the Bakivish yet keep their current Government, and others wish to begin with a clean slate.

The Anarchists want a free, anarchic society which is controlled by no one. The Anarchists are many different peoples and even some of the local law enforcement. The Anarchists are currently in the process of staging a coup and replacing the Government with corporations who enforce laws.

The Reformed Republic of Madagascar wishes to create an independent communist republic. They are the largest group, made of foreign military, militiamen, and even some local law enforcement. They are currently battling over Antananarivo against the Republic to gain control of the city.

This evening, the Paramount Leader announced Neo-Korea’s stance of “Critical Support” towards the Reformed Republic of Madagascar.

This change in stance occurred after an emergency discussion by the Central Governing Council, which, after a period of 3 hours, concluded with the statement of support towards the RRM, especially in regards to their ongoing battle against “Imperialist Forces” in Antananarivo.

The Paramount Leader more specifically stated (in a speech this evening) that:
“Neo-Korea offers critical support to the heroic revolutionaries currently fighting against the lingering stain of imperialism upon their land, and wishes them the best of luck in their efforts to expunge this stain in time.”

“Neo-Korea also urges temporary collaboration between counter-imperial forces despite their differing ideological strains of thought, to better expel the invaders before coming to a definite conclusion on the future of the land itself”.

As he did one final-check of the arms to be shipped to whatever neo-colonial revolt was occurring in Madagascar, Kim questioned why it was seemingly always him being sent to these sort of occurrences.

Shrugging after a moment of deliberation, he confirmed that the resources had been packed correctly, and worked to recall what their actual purpose was, considering the fact the revolt they were supposedly assisting presumably had no direct control of a port yet, forcing any shipments to be “seized” in-enemy territory.

……Once again shrugging, he decided to stop thinking about it, and instead delivered the final affirmation that the shipment would be out by next week, before going to get piss-drunk at a bar.

Bakivish troops shall be deployed to the port city of Antsiranana to calm any civil unrest and to build a foothold to progress further. They wish to push out the local militiamen and foreigners in the surrounding areas. Hearing of foreign opposition, the Bakivish Government would speak with their allies to negotiate a military campaign into the centre of the island, hopefully annexing Antananarivo in the process.

Meanwhile in Antananarivo, the battles are beginning to escalate, with the newly founded "Reformed Republic of Madagascar" claiming the city and it's surrounding areas. The Bakivish have officially lost Antananarivo, and they're not happy about it.

The vessel pulling into port was not, by itself, exceptional.

Despite the ongoing situation in Madagascar, and despite the soon-to-be extant actions of its once-overseers, trade had not entirely ceased as of the current moment, although it was far rarer and far more remarkable than it had been.

The fact that the ship’s crew was almost all-Korean was of more note, although even then it was not……entirely suspect, for a crew flying the flag of the Chinese State to have an majority-Korean staff considering the population migrations that occurred during the Cultural Revolution, even if the fact the leadership also consisted of Koreans was unusual at best.

It was the fact that the crew’s only noticeable action in-port was to load quite a few unmarked crates unto the back of trucks (trucks that would, non-coincidentally) be seen later moving towards Antananarivo that would clue any individuals looking for subversion in that things were not as they seemed.

While the resources were secure, it would be another 6 hours until the vessel moved back into open waters, offering a decent window for any aggressive actions that may be deserved.

Still, though, one vessel could be spun into a “Martyr for the advancement of the international cause” easily enough, or at least that was the prevailing opinion amongst the groups in Omiskan that had given the go-ahead to this particular operation.

It cut the sea in all of its glory, the metal hulk speeding forward at dizzying speeds. Hundreds of tons of metal parted the sea; the escorts rushing forth as it unflinchingly pushed forward. Bauren would have the immense honor of reaping first blood in the Weltkrian Intervention, giving the capitalistic hordes a crippling blow in their infernal plans. The Reformed Republic of Madagascar needed aid - they would get it.

Admiral Volker Stumpf savored the taste of salty air as his carrier rushed forward at full speed, not giving a damn about things such as "emissions control" or "stealth". Weltkria was here to make a statement to oppressors of the proletariat, the bourgeoisie who crushed simple things such as "hopes and dreams" under a jackboot of monopolistic competition. He leaned over the flimsy railing, feeling the wind rush by his face as the carrier roared forward.

His captain joined him as he admired the sight, taking in the grand view of the Weltkrian fleet moving to Madagascar. He was a portly and small man, easy to miss. The Captain wore the uniform with pride - he was a socialist through and through.

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" His Captain queried, looking out at the sea.

It was. Hundreds of tiny little colors intermixed, creating a stunning kaleidoscope as the fleet sped forward. The sun weaved in and out of the sea, playing orange beams across the wide, blue water. It was the purest form of tranquility.

"Yeah." Stumpf responded, looking towards the captain. "I joined because of this..." His eyes took on a certain look as he continued. "One day, my mom brought me out to see a beach. Now, this was new to me - I lived inland, with the snow and mountains." Stumpf sighed as he continued. "Seeing the sun play across the sea - it changed me. I wanted to be here, to get away from the slopes, mountains and life. I just wanted to sit there, all day. Listen to the birds chirp and sing, listen to the sea, the waves. I wanted all of it, that beach was my personal paradise."

Stumpf took his cap off, exposing his moppy hair to the wind.

"A few years later, the draft came up. I chose the navy. My friends laughed at me - they went with Army. Most were relegated to defending the Ardenian Border. I, on the other hand - was assigned to a frigate. Wasn't what I signed up for, don't we all make that mistake?"

A quick laugh came from the Captain as he continued. "Skipper recommended me for Officer School, and we went from there. Finally got the thing I wanted; command of a Destroyer. I went from there, and here I am."

The captain started, his baritone voice almost being carried away by the wind. "I got seconded to the Navy as I failed a standardized test. Got bloody boatswains mate, the worst position on the ship. Spent hours scrounging up rust from paint."

A roar of laughter came from the Admiral. "Damn, bad luck. Must have sucked, Heh."

"Yeah. I still have no idea how I got out of that mess, thought I was in a dead-end job. Bloody hell, that sucked." A smile came over the Captain's face as he continued. "Once they got out of there, they gave me - a uncultured brute from Eastern Nostovakia, command of a little dink called a "patrol boat". Made me go stir-crazy at the amount of bullshit I had to deal with from idiot sailors and command. I loved that ship - Monitor 303 was it's name, still in operation."

"I visit it from time to time. Seeing my old rusty piece of crap patrol one of the largest harbors is different - it stirs something in me."

"Don't we all. I got attached to my first ship in command." The admiral points off to a gray block in the distance, a Liberty class Destroyer. "Got it attached to my task-force. Had to go oil a few hands for that. It was a good ship, the crew was competent. Still dealt with the same crap - I had to go teach political classes to my men, every other week."

The Captain blanched as he remembered those classes. "Ah, those. Filling your head with utter and complete bull, all the time. Had difficultly staying awake - it was that bad."

"Yeah." Checking his watch, the admiral sighed. "Well, have to cut old sailor reminiscing short. Command meeting in fifteen minutes."

They walked away, leaving the catwalk empty.

Wilson Vaughan Looked at the recent reports about army movements. The transportation of troops from Lima to Montevideo had not been cheap and concessions had to be made in order to appease a slightly annoyed population, nonetheless the flying continued and eventually the 30,000 troops made it to Montevideo.

The entire army included 1,000 tanks and 17,000 infantry support vehicles as well as an included Air Calvary detachment as well consisting of 30 helicopters and a single mini-carrier. When arriving at the port the troops were greeted by 12 destroyers, 5 submarines, 8 cruisers, and 1 carrier not counting the one owned by the Air Calvary. The carrier itself housed 85 fighter jets.

It was only after these troops departed that the Galapagos government officially announced support for their Neo-Korean allies in fighting against Bakivaland tyranny. They also announced support for the communists and stated that they “hoped that our differing ideologies won’t get in between our mutual struggle for a better world.”

A scenic night in Eggtropolis, Kaiser Loaf and President Sealramm walk along the summer palace, talking about menial things like politics and governing the nation, the snow ever so falls on them as Sealramm gets a call on his cellphone, he picks it up and listens intently, his confused expression when they were first called fades away to a stalwart blankness as he informs Loaf about the situation, “Madagascar? If I do recall correctly that’s the island by Africa isn’t it?” Sealramm responds in his young energy “Yes my Kaiser and so the island is in complete chaos, the colony of Bakivaland has pretty much collapsed except for a few pockets around the island and has arisen three factions, four if we count the Bakivish. The Ministry of Peace has announced the support for the Reformed Republic of Madagascar and will assist Allie’s of Oceania and the socialist through military aid and cooperation an task force for ground intervention has yet to be formed however a small naval fleet from South Africa will head to Madagascar support Allie’s in naval operations

A naval fleet was indeed mostly consisting of 4 destroyers, 1 aircraft carrier which carried the naval variants of the OFJ-1 and OFJ-2, and 2 corvettes and were be used to secure the waters up north of Madagascar to make insertion of troops easier without being hassled by enemy naval and Airforce.

A ship pulled into harbor, in a manner similar to what had occurred so similarly in a port on the other side of the land.

Flying the flag of the Chinese State, the vessel made its way to dock, and, with no real fanfare, men departed from it, ordered to the maximum extent a group of such size (1000 men, at the most, although this lack of number would not prevent their attempt to implement their plans).

After some debate, the Imperial government of Duetsch-Francia has voted to recognize the Republic of Madagascar as the legitimate government of the region, and pledges to support it.

The Bakivish would prepare an airstrike on Antananarivo to weaken the militiamen and eventually control over the city. The city is currently under control of the Republic, with the Reformed Republicans being in the south near the city of Androka. The Bakivish would send several warplanes, one armed with a cluster bomb which is prepared to drop over the city. A raid in Antananarivo is being planned, it and shall soon be carried out if this operation goes well.

Viceroy Manahirana Rasolonomenjanahry has been taken hostage by the Reformed Republicans today, and they claim the right to the entire island. It appears the foreign aid to the socialists has helped quite a bit, as they and foreign forces have pushed the Bakivish out of Antsiranana and the surrounding areas. They're close to a victory right now, as Bakivaland has vacated the island, but they obviously plan to come back if the air raid is successful.

Operation Steel Spartan

Of all things the Seals were known for militarily was that it’s airforce was like a cornered tiger, fierce and vicious to no end, and Madagascar would be no different. On the crack of dawn as the majority of forces sat awaiting for the orders to launch Steel Spartan the multitudes of HELO-J’s would be sent out, while the couple HELO-S’s sat in wait the J’s had been in service for years and they’re usefulness never wore and it was perfect for the job, as the j’s flew above warm Madagascar they knew one thing - it was bout to get a whole hotter - suddenly like bees coming a poked nest napalm swarmed out of the bays of the J’s and the ground of Madagascar turned asunder into Satan’s domain on earth. Paint it black played on the radios as the jets began an organized napalm campaign over Communistic controlled areas and suspected areas of troop movements - no where was safe from the skies, some moved on for a bigger prize would await - Androka the base of communist in all of Madagascar was seemingly undefended from air attacks, and would be a perfect target to weaken communist influence in Madagascar, the plans would make the journey and see the city soon be liberated by the use of regular bombings.

Johannegg looked around, he was on a HELO-C ready to parachute to the areas surrounding Antananarivo and push out and hopefully take all of Madagascar, he sweats profusely as his eyes shake in fear, his first jump around men who have jumped millions of times before, he looks around nervously as his the lights turn green and - all he hears is the swishes of the wind as he regains sight, in a free fall for the first time in an actual war is nerve racking and he is frozen, he’s not pulling his chute, no signs of movement for what seemed like an eternity. He looks and sees his comrades above him, they have all pulled their chutes, this doesn’t help as Johanegg scrambles for his chute and he pulls it, he’ll be a minute before everyone else lands but that’s a whole lot better than being a mixture of blood, bones and brains on the road, he grabs his rifle and slowly descends, before landing. He looks around until his comrades join him, eventually they do along with the officer. “Listen you pieces of shit secure this area now!” His voice boomed and the men assorted themselves in the area they were in, it was sure of a long way to Mukumbura. The men glanced around guns raises but everything was in the clear, they see hundreds of others descending from the sky - in this gaze they see a bounty - mangoes, the favourite fruit of every seal the soldiers quickly grab the blossoming fruits from the trees as they climb them, some eat them as a nice meal after the hungry drop down - free falling down into a hit country sure makes a seal hungry for sure. Others store them wherever they can for later as a snack and bargaining ship from any natives they may come across. The mangoes are tasty and they sure as hell are nutritious. When they are done after a few minutes it was time for a war.

Paramount Leader condemns “Inhumane” usage of Napalm, Neo-Korea to “reconsider” current stance of non-intervention in Madagascar.

This evening, as reports of the usage of Napalm in the Madagascar conflict have been confirmed by “Volunteers” present in the region, the Paramount Leader has officially released a statement condemning the usage of such weaponry, and noting that Neo-Korea would reconsider its policies on the conflict currently occurring in the wake of these actions.

This statement is not entirely surprising, considering the developing situation would likely have lead to increased interest in the conflict by its nature, but it can be presumed that the usage of napalm has decidedly sped up the process of Neo-Korea truly deciding to intervene.

With both this statement and a recent purchase of military equipment from Gonswanza, it must be wondered what the CGC is planning…..

“What the CGC was planning” turned out to be perhaps the most idiotic example of brinkmanship since the last time Neo-Korea found itself in this sort of position.

Earlier this week, it was decided that the time to begin an aid raid was now. A team of expert pilots and paratroopers were selected to carry out the mission, and a mission control was formed to guide them during the task. Antananarivo was in trouble, and rumors have been spreading of Korean intervention. Obviously, Korean intervention would be horrible for Bakivaland and their allies.

An aircraft carrier, a warship, and several patrol ships were sent out via the southern coast of India. After arriving in the Malagasy city of Antsiranana, they immediately began pushing out all local militiamen and setting up an airbase.

"Alpha 3, my target's near!" yells a pilot into their microphone, which is relayed to Control.

"Roger, continue to the city," replies one of the members of Control.

The fighter jet was flying towards Antananarivo, and the bomb in the back was ready to be released. The pilot checked to make sure everything was ready, and he pressed the button. The bomb fell to the ground, hitting a building.

Boom,

Screams could be heard below as the building collapsed and all around died. The explosion was large, large enough to be seen from many miles away.

CHAPTER 2 | ARC 1 "THE ADMIRAL"

"General Quarters, General Quarters!"

The ship was bathed in red. Loud klaxons sounded, reverberating throughout the tight metal corridors of the ship. The operation was underway, nothing would stop the Weltkrians.

Hundreds of sailors ran to their positions, locking in damage control stations as they prepared for the invetiable. An ideological fervor consumed every sailor as they ran - today they would bring the fight to the oppressors, liberating the people of Madagascar from the yoke of the bourgeoisie - the capitalistic monopolists would be kicked out by the jackboot of the Weltkrian Proletariat. Today, the Weltkrian people would bring the fight to the capitalist squatters.

The Admiral walked into the CiC, looking down at the chaos that was occurring under him. Hundreds of officers filled the cavernous space, coordinating imminent military operations. A massive screen filled the space, displaying his units as they ran CAP patrols or searched for enemy fleets. Modern war was a massive undertaking - the CiC showed that.

A attache ran up to him, carrying a clipboard and a radio. He had a panicked look.
"Sir, confirmed napalm usage on multiple Madagascari cities. Civilian causalities are not known - we need to hurry up."

Rage. The Admiral clenched his fist, rage filling his eyes with the burning embers of flame. Usage of napalm on civilian populations was an unprecedented escalation. Even the internal police were above that crap, dammit!

"Do we have their landing zones?" The admiral asked in a terrifyingly haggard voice.

"Yes." Said the attache. He leaned back in fear - he had never seen his admiral like this.

"Listen, I want you to hammer those landing zones until they no longer exist, do you understand me?" The admiral said, rage underpinning every word.

"Understood."

The command was sent, and the first cruise missiles started to rise out of their VLS cells. They had a single target - the landing zones of the Vikanian Paratroopers.

"Thanks Control. We'll get you a beer later."

A single hand-signal, and he was off. The rain pounded on his cockpit as the plane gracefully rose into the air, the dual engines roaring to life as they threw the multi-ton machine into the air. For Lieutenant Erich Heiner, it was a raptourous experience. Flying through the blue skies felt natural to him. He loved the feeling of pulling Gs, weaving through the air on a throne of human advancement.

Yet, he had a job to do. The people of Madagascar beckoned for liberation - something that he had the immense honor of providing. The red banner would fly over Madagascar, the Weltkrians would make sure of that.

"This is Radminton 2-3. Got a enemy boat... here, should be datalinked."

A high pitched beeping filled his helmet as the package was sent over. Quickly muting it, he launched two LRASMs at the Vikani ship - they would enable evasive maneuvering, giving them some time to seek. He rapidly joined back up with his formation.

His radar went live as he started to search for targets. They popped up one by one, begging to be swatted down by the eight anti-air missiles he carried.

"Fox three." He said, the missile sprinting away from his fuselage as it sprinted towards an unlucky plane. The entire squadron fired - the missiles going pitbull as they released towed jammers, filling radar screens with junk as the fighters advanced into Madagascar. The jammers were towed for a reason - any missiles that enabled HoJ would go towards the jammer, missing the aircraft.

They would make the Bakvish pay.

START OF MILITARY OPERATION IN MADAGASCAR

"Haven't you heard?" askes an attaché.

"The Republic has declared independence!" he continues. President Manchester sets down his cup of tea onto his desk, and a frown begins to form on his face.

"Oh, that's not very good," the President replies, grabbing the cup and continuing to sip his tea. "I shall speak with my diplomatic advisors immediately," he carries on, "we will be doing something about this, trust me,"

The President stands up and walks out of his office, checking his watch as he walks through the halls. He eventually finds the office he's looking for.

"Hello, Mister Smith, I must speak with you," he says while knocking, "it is quite urgent!" he continues. Soon enough, the door is opened by the diplomatic advisor, Mr. Robertson Smith. He shows the President to a seat, then he sits down himself.

"So, what seems to be the problem?" he askes.

"The Malagasy have declared independence, and the socialists are likely going to follow suit." the President replies.

The two discuss the issue for a while longer, sipping tea with each other until the President realises he has a very important meeting to attend. They say their farewells, but not before planning a conference with the military leaders and top diplomats.

Antananarivo, the Republic of Madagascar

It was a hot day, even though it was always hot after the bombing, it was unusually hot today. The citizens all walked around to their job as normal, but obviously some precautions must be taken. There are several bomb shelters which have been established, with police stationed everywhere, making sure that there isn't another air raid.

In this new Republic, everyone is free from the tyranny of Bakivaland. Everyone is free from colonial rule. Manahirana Rasolonomenjanahry, the former leader of Madagascar, was executed earlier that day. The whole city gathered around to see the man be hanged, brutally too, with him being beaten beforehand to ensure he felt the punishment and thought about his "wrongdoings".

Anyone who showed socialist sympathies would be executed, and anyone who spoke of their past rulers would be imprisoned for espionage.
