[SUGGESTION] Industry: Sports World Census Ranking

Seeing as how many issues involve athletic activities and many nations are into roleplaying sports, I propose a Sports Industry stat. It will be based on:

• @@NATION@@'s position in various sports on an international and national level.
• @@NATION@@'s health stat, obviously, as well as their IT Industry stat.
• Maybe a tiny bit on @@NATION@@'s patriotism stat, as many people root for teams, and their Ignorance stat.

Coming with this request is the need to alter the health stat, most likely.

"Most Athletic Stat" is almost the same as "Most Healthy Stat" and feels very limiting to the latter.

I prefer "Industry: Sports".

All-in-all, fine idea, now that sporting (including esports) events define a Country nowadays.

If you're talking about forum sports, we can't automate that. If you're talking about a game stat for sports, it doesn't exist. I'm not seeing this as feasible.

If that's the case, I understand but at the same, me as a player/audience, I'll feel disappointed with the realization that NS can't and will never keep up with modernity.

Organised sports as we know them have been taking place for around a century and a half. (As a lowly green T-shirt wearer, I think that the Healthiest and/or Largest IT Industry rankings are or would be a good proxy for any prospective Most Athletic stat, rendering the latter moot. Although I shouldn't be wearing T-shirts in December...)

Industry reform is soooo long down the pipeline because of the work that needs to go into it, I wouldn't pin your hopes on Industry:Sport anytime soon.

Like Sedge said, if you can convince an editor to take on the project to track athleticism, and then do up a census for it, you'll have more luck that way. It'll still be a while though. Patriotism took about ~12 months I think.

Are we ever gonna get new stats here, seeing as that the Industry: Sports concept isn’t receiving very much positive attention? I hate to be impatient but the most recent stats we got were Patriotism and Food Quality. And that was before I joined the website

We get a new stat every three years, at most. Be happy and patient.

We only add new stats when necessary. They aren't a "new feature" that we drop on a frequent basis or anything.

If you think there's a new stat we need, suggest it, and we can consider it.
