Kela, the Meyarines

The whole of the city of Kela seemed to hold its breath as tens of thousands gathered at the royal harbor, the same spot where twenty-one years before the capital greeted their new king. Now, they came waiting to see the arrival of a new queen, and a new crown princess.

It was not yet to the harbor, decorated with flowers and ribbons as it was, that everyone’s attention was directed to. Instead they looked along the sea road that followed the length of the coastline. The ground stuck as the sound of thunder seemed to reverberate through the street and across the city.

Coming down the sea road was a like five deep of cavalries in bright purple and gold road black horses decorated with tassels and ribbons. They trotted down the street, leading the way of the bridal procession. Behind them came a hundred heralds with bells, followed by ones with trumpets who blared music into the air in a colorful riot. Behind them came drummers who danced and spun as they sang in Meyarieno. The beat was deep and heavy and steady.

They sang, naturally, the praises of King Jayas. They recounted his good deeds, his victories in battle and his generosity. Behind them came hundreds of dancers, women and men in skimpy attire heavily embroidered with flashy sequins, beads and elaborate feathers on their arms , backs and heads in every shade of blue and yellow. They filled the street, slit walkers juggling in their midst while others joined in on the singing.

Atop a white horse came the bespectacled Lord Kieran Wynters, dressed in all blue, his two sons flanking behind him on horseback. The Wynters men had been the ones dispatched by King Jayas in search of a new queen and it had been Lord Wynters, the very made who had first elevated him to the throne who had now found the next two queens of the kingdom. This had only further endeared him to the king who now gave him and his sons this high place of honor.

For Lord Wynters cleared the way for the King himself. A pair of Leriyan dwarf elephants, trained and imported for the elaborate ceremony that was set to be the grandest in Meyarieno’s history, made their way down the street side by side. Though smaller than Deritain Elephants, which had been first sought after, it was determined that was better for them to actually fit on the street and easier to actually train. Elaborate cushioned saddles has been strapped onto them, upon which sat the King and the Crown Prince.

The King of the Meyarines was dressed in a white fipari. They wore angi shirts, which were loose shear white long sleeve shirts with high collars. The angi was tucked into their trousers and secured with a cloth belt, forming a slightly top heavy silhouette. Beneath the angi was a simple thin under shirt that hid the chest. They wore blue formal sandals. A silk purple sash was draped over his shoulder and around his waist, a ceremonial bejeweled sword in his waist. The King was a tall man, his body battle harden, with salt and pepper hair and dark brown skin.

Next to him, well, a few steps behind, was his son atop his very own elephant. A slightly shorter one. The Crown Prince was a short young man, little more than a thin teenager. He had thick curly back hair and dark brown skin. Dressed in the same outfit as his father and from affair, he looked princely, though he didn’t possess that commanding authoritative aura of his father. Whatever short comings the crown prince might have had however were overshadowed by the rest of the procession.

Behind the elephants, at a safe distance, came a virtual army of footmen dressed in blue and yellow, hoisting up golden winged lions, each one shiny and precious.

Prince Amadeus and Prince Philippe lead the way down the gangplank of the elaborately decorated warship that had served as the chariot for Princess Christina. Princess Adela herself had already been in Kela, but this was all for the ritual.

Prince Philippe, son of the late King Frederick III was the elder of the two. He wore a fine green and black uniform with a green sash over his shoulder. Prince Philippe had never been destined for a throne of his own, and instead he and his wife had poured their high ambitions into their three children, securing a crown for each of them. With Adela’s marriage his dreams were to be complete.

Prince Amadeus, nephew to Prince Philippe and son of the current Queen of Genes, was not an impressive figure physically. Thin and delicate, few would have recognized in him a mastermind of warfare and political intrigue. He wore an admiral uniform and bicorn hat, having lead the Genoise fleets throughout his career. The warship had been his idea. Prince Amadeus was not quite as ambitious as his uncle, but through the chance of marriage and genealogy, Amadeus had seen his son end up on the throne of Imarati. Amadeus had found it necessary to step in and direct the lives of his children. He had been the architect of the dissolution of his daughter’s previous arrangement to a minor Gosataborgian aristocrat. If his daughter was to marry, he’d decreed, she would marry a future king.

And these two patriarchs of their families in the end both bowed to that of Queen Louise, mother to one, older sister to the other. And it was the Queen’s wishes that were ultimately done.

Amongst those wishes was the grandeur of the wedding. Having been snubbed by the Celestial Empire, Queen Louise had resolved to turn this royal wedding into one that was imperial in scale. Far wealthier than the Meyarines, the Genoise Queen had agreed to foot the bill, and with the deep coffers of the Valwa in charge, no expense or luxury had been spared for the wedding.

The Valwa Royals had all but invaded the city of Kela, having arrived in droves across their many realms. Marriage, as opposed to war, had been how the Valwa had grown more and more powerful.

Behind the two princes were a dozen young ladies, lesser Genoise noble women to serve as lady-in-waiting to the two princesses, behind them, countless ladies maids, footmen, attendants, aids and heralds. The splendor was fantastical, but then that was precisely the point.

The two princesses themselves were directly behind the fathers. Each was in a covered litter that rested on the ground. The lace curtains were lowered, obscuring the two women. Princess Adela’s litter was in traditional green and gold, the colors of the Valwa. Princess Christina’s meanwhile was in black and gold, the colors of the Volonte, of which house she was apart of through her father’s paternal line.

As the Meyarieno procession came to a stop before them, the warship’s turrets swiveled towards the coast, lifting upwards and firing. They booked, deafening. But instead of red hot shells, instead it was a great cloud of golden colored confetti.

The procession came to a stop before that of the two princesses. The dancers danced in places, clapping their hands in beat as they sang. Instead of singing the praises of the king they now sang to the princes, telling them they’ve come for their daughters and answering the question of what they would give for the honor of their hand. From atop of the two elephants King Jayas and his son bowed their heads low to the princesses, even if they were unseen.

While pragmatic in its traditions, the tone and language of the songs were light and playful. With each verse of the song one of the golden lions was placed before the two princes, stacking them up into a pyramid. The dancers and singers rocked back and forth, shouting ‘no that’s not enough,’ before going into the next verse.

The two pyramids represented the actual bride prices that had been agreed upon already. The first one completed was the one in front of Princess Adela. The second and larger one was that of Princess Christina. It had been decided that Christina, the younger more prestigious of the two brides, paired with the fact that her children with Crown Prince Jayas would rule after them, needed a higher bride price.

From within each of their litters, Princess Adela and Princess Christina both laughed. Albeit for different reasons. Adela found the whole bride price ritual humorous, and she couldn’t help but laugh along with the playful tone of the song. Princess Christina laughed, pleased by the fact that her pyramid was the greater of the two.

Outside the litters Prince Philippe chewed the inside of his cheek looking at his nephew, who grinned at him. Prince Amadeus clapped his hands and a team of men, each large and bear-like. They lifted the litters as the princes stepped out of the way and the Genoise party joined the Meyarieno bridal procession. Their own entourages trailing after them like a river of emeralds following from the decks of the warship.

There were cheers throughout the bridal procession and the crowds of people. The onlookers, who till now had watched with little more than silent awe now joined in th cheers and dance as music filled the harbor and the length of the Sbargera Boulevard, a central street lined with guava and palm streets that connect the harbor in the north of the city, Kanakarka Square and the Our Lady of Victories Cathedral in the center, and lastly the Royal Palace of Saundarya in the south.

Speakers lined the Sbargera, and the sidewalks, balconies and roof tops of tr building that lined it were jammed pack full of people as they waved Meyarieno flags and screamed and whooped and sang in celebration as the King and Prince passed by. They grew even louder when they saw the magnificent litters of the two princesses and their extensive entourages.

Ribbon dancers and tumblers jumped and leaped and popped up on the street, each painted in blue and yellow and purple from head to toe. Drums, thavils, hands drums, others as big as a man were beat on as the crowd rocked and jumped to the beat. Meyarieno weddings were defined by their music, fast and rhythmic, acoustics that rang of a fusion of samba and geet. Performers sang now not the praises of the King and his son, but instead of the great beauties of the Genoise princesses. They sang of their beauty and grace, and how far they’d come. Indeed, While Adela had been only a hop away in nearby Genes and Narumada, Christina had had to come from the opposite end of the continent from frigid mountainous Imarati, hence why it had taken her so long to arrive.

The parade, for in all honestly that was what it was at this point, came to an end at Kanakarka square, a massive coral stone and green space filled with palms and flowers and benches. It was the social and symbolic heart of the city, located near the Grand Marketplace and acting to a testimony to the harmony of the Meyarines. In its center a larger than life statue of a young King Jayas in white marble stood in the sunlight.

Below, the real life King, older than the picturesque youth captured in marble, still moved with the weight and power of a king. He leapt down from his elephant as it kneeled, a smile on his face as he joined in the dancing, raising his hands in the air and bouncing along with the music. More cheers went up. This, thankfully drew attention away from Crown Prince Jayas, who even with the help of Jayas Wynters, eldest son of Lord Wynters, (Jayas having been made a popular name over the last twenty years) nearly fell off the elephant as he dismounted.

From affair it appeared to many that the prince too joined in the dancing, though it truth it was him shaking. Unlike his father, Prince Jayas had never met his bride, in fact it had not been till the announcement of the engagement that he’d been engaged. Arranged marriages were not uncommon in the Meyarines, but generally the groom and bride at least had time to meet before they married, but the great distance Christina had had to come had left moment in the schedule for it.

Thus the crown prince was reasonably nervous over getting married to a complete stranger.

Concerns that were swept aside as the procession moved on,clearing the path for the church as the actual wedding ceremony began. There were more cheers and the music was defining as the King entered the cathedral, the prince following and the music dying down as they climbed the steps.

The Cathedral of Our Lady of Victories was the largest and oldest in the Meyarines, a titanic white stone structure topped with gold glided dome and peaked tower roofs. Three levels of seating looked over the alter, ornate and shining in Catholic trappings. Each seat was filled, in a capacity of some 5,000 people. Ministers, bureaucrats, mayors, knights, lords, counts and dukes from Meyarieno had all fought for the best seats, paying exorbitant prices for the honor of certain seats. Nearest to the alter were the royals, first and foremost the Meyarieno Royal Family, the younger sons of King Jayas, his brother Jahan and his sister Khunjalwa seated on the left side of the alter. Seated next to and behind them were the many foreign guests who’d been invited.

There was Emperor Arvius of the Grand Western Empire; Emperor Natanno and Empress Ann a of Rosica; the sister queens Satang and Saijo of Narumada; King Micael and Queen Bianca of Saoyanda along with Princess Constanca of Saoyanda. Princess Imperial Ziyanda was in attendance as well other high royals , the Crown Prince and Princess of Leriya, Crown Prince Marino and Prince Paris of Brettenwald, the Emperor of Italia, Emperor Kyle of Exucular, King Ira an Queen Ophelia of Abetton, Queen Esmeralda II of Kenmoria, and Princess Aurelia.

There were several non-royals too, diplomat Sir James Lewitt, Grand Archigós Aristocles Callipolis and Head Sirel William Maddox Sirel. Bishop Giolio di Roma, Chancellor Alina Lotvall and Hasanati Lota were also in attendance.

Then there were the Valwa. Older, and much, much larger than the Gunapadi dynasty, over a hundred seats had been set aside for the Valwa queens, kings, princes and princesses in attendance, of which there were too many to name. with even a special royal box having been installed for Queen Louise and her consort, Prince Antoine.

The two grooms made their way down the aisle to the alter where Cardinal Benoy Naidu, an aged man in grand holy robes, stood waiting for them. A Catholic, if not devotedly so, country, it had been agreed upon that despite Narumada, Genes and Imarati all being Orthodox, the ceremony would be a Catholic one, albeit on that had been simplified.

From above the sound of the Wedding March, chosen by the Queen of Genes as it was ‘wedding music for an empress’ played as everyone looked down the aisle awaiting the arrival the two royal brides.

Princess Adela was the first to step out of her litter. Adela was a woman of average height, with plain features, neither a beauty nor a beast. With her dark skin, dark eyes and curly black hair braided into a classic updo, emerald pins in the shape of peacock feathers decorating them, sonething old as they had belonged to her namesake and great-great-grandmother, she looked tasteful and elegant. She wore a gold lace dress emerald green underskirts and bodice. She wore a gold and emerald choker necklace, something new, and a green and gold saree that had been borrowed from her cousin the Crown Princess of Leriya. Her garter, hidden beneath her flowing skirts was her something blue.

Next came Princess Christina. Roughly the same height as Adela, she was leaner, her skin slightly lighter bronze. Her black hair was pulled back tightly along her head before tumbling freely past her shoulders in a cloud of coiling curls. Diamonds were set in her hair, sparking like stars in a night sky. She wore simple but striking make-up that showed off her beauty, her red full lips and golden glitter eyeshadow. Gold flecks had been sprinkled across her skin like freckles.

But most striking was her dress. In form and material it was similar to that of Adela’s though the waist higher to an empire style to give her more height, and the train longer, it was the color that took out. Black and gold. The Imperial colors. As a member of the Volonte, she was allowed to wear them, but this too was a symbol picked by her grandmother, who was still middle at the Celestial Emperor. Christina lifted her bouquet, flowers that had been quite literally glided in gold as she stepped out.

Both princesses were met with their brothers.

King Tewodros beamed at his older sister as she stepped out of the litter. The King of Narumada prided himself on having helped secure this alliance and marriage. It had been one of the first truly important things he’d done since taking the throne. King Tewodros also loved weddings, and he’d been so excited to see the grandeur his aunt had thrown at it. He and the rest of the Narumadan people loved spectacle. And while the Meyarieno and Genoise didn’t have their same taste for bloody affairs, they nonetheless seemed to dabble in a good dose of opulence.

An athletic and physically fit man, he stood several inches shorter than his sister. He had been nicknamed the Wolverine in the Area due to his small stature yet vicious fighting style. A name Tewodros wore with pride. He was in a fi pari siasonaa with a nehru jacket and a crown on his head. He carried a large parasol in green and gold that had been made from one of their mother, Princess Francesca’s old dresses.

Tewodros practically squealed with glee as he took Adela’s hand into his. “You look fabulous!”

King Alexis, dressed in the dark green army uniform of Imarati, a black and white sash over his shoulder and tied at his waist gave Christina a small teary eyed smile as he held up his parasol, black and gold and stitched together by their mother, the Princess Anne. Alexis hated weddings. His own had, at least, his second wedding, had been a disaster. He hated that his father pushed for this, that he had mislead him when he had gone to Volya to annul Christina’s engagement to Oskar Holmsdal. The Gosataborgians were bound to see that no longer as a mere change in politics, but a deliberate snub in favor of a bigger fish.

But it was hard to feel concerned when Christina… well… she was Christina. She probably would have done something much worse just to get here. Still. She was his little sister and Alexis’ protective instincts couldn’t be swept away. He, like that of many of his generation of the Valwa, was an athletic fellow. His father, who was a scholarly fellow had been horrified to find Alexis a man who loved sports. Unlike King Tewodros and Adela, King Alexis towered over his little sister. He bent slightly as he offered her his arm.

“Are you sure about this?,” Alexis whispered. “Say the word and we call the whole thing off.”

Adela kissed Tewodros on the cheek. He had always been her favorite sibling. And the two of them had been brought together by the death of their older sister and the wills of their parents. They had stayed quiet and held their tongues to learn and to survive. And now they would thrive.

“You are too sweet Teddy.”

Christina let out a huff as she took her brother’s arm. She smiled, but her grip dug into Alexis’ arm like a python around a baby deer. Through her smile she hissed in a dark tone.

“Don’t. You. Dare.”

Alexis bent towards his sister as sharp pain crackled through his arm. He forced a smile. “Ow. Ow!,” Alexis hissed back, trying to break free of Christina’s grip without causing a scene. Their father would have an absolute fit he he did. “You’re hurting me.”

Christina’s smile turned genuine as she turned to look up him. She loved her brother, she really did. He was annoying yes, but he did care. But he cared too much for her liking. Far too sentimental. She tightened her grip further. After all, she may have been younger, but that only meant she’d spent all her life coming up with ways to torment him if need be.

“Oh trust me I know. Because I wish to make my point sink,” she said with a final squeeze. “Then we are clear?”

Alexis nodded his head vigorously. He flexed his hand as he was finally able to get some blood and life flowing into his digits. He was certain that she had left a bruise beneath his sleeve. All the security and soldiers in the world and there was no one to defend him from his little sister.

“Ow, yes fine.” He whined. “Message received loud and clear.”

Tewodros rolled his eyes. He started the walk down the aisle towards the altar, lifting the parasol above them.

“Not you too.” Tewodros said with a wrinkle of his nose in disapproval. “I swear I am going to kill Josephine to giving me that nickname. It’s all everyone in the family calls me now.”

Christina, following custom, kissed Alexis on the cheek and then looked towards the altar, and held her head up high.

“Good. I am about get everything I’ve ever wanted.” Her eyes drifted to Adela and Tewodros. She muttered under her breath. “Well, amongst everything.”

With that she pulled Alexis along as they walked down the aisle. Technically he was suppose to be escorting her, but Christina had never been one to let her feet drag. As long as Alexis kept pace who would know?

Meanwhile Adela chuckled at her brother. She knew he was being hyperbolic. Killing their cousin Josephine would start a war. On account that she was more officially known as Queen Oiyora of Turanda. Besides, they were practically best friends. Adela had played witness to their correspondences for years now. She clicked her tongue at her brother.

“Ah, no complaining on my big day.”

Tewodros nodded with a laugh, though his words were sincere. “Of course, of course. But only for you. And once you are off your honeymoon, you are helping me with operation wolverine. It’s a much cooler. My fans call me it, my own family should too.”

They reached the alter and the King of Narumada nodded to the King of the Meyarines had he let Adela ago.

Adela pursed her lips, holding back a laugh. She had no faith in any plan called operation wolverine, and she rather like Teddy as a nickname for him. She knew that beneath the bloodlust gladiatorial exterior he was still soft and squishy. But for him, she held that comment in. When she had composed herself she nodded and said, of course. She then climbed the steps to the altar to join King Jayas.

King Jayas and Crown Prince Jayas, indeed the whole of the crowd watched as the two brides made their way down the wide central aisle as the music swelled. Each escorted by a brother, each brother a king in their own right. Truly nothing so grand had ever been conducted on Meyarieno shores before.

King Jayas smiled at the sight of Adela laughing. She was like a second sun. He had never known a woman with so much lightning her. Not since he had lost his first wife. But where Kamalika had blazed a fiery star high in the sky, Adela instead glowed, warm and soft like a silent dawn.

Crown Prince Jayas meanwhile picked at his thumbnails, his heart thumping in his chest. His stomach felt twisted into knots. He wiped his hand on his trouser to dry the sweat from as they reached the altar.

“You look stunning,” King Jayas whispered to Adela.

“Uh… hi,” was all the crown prince managed to get out.

The two groom took the hands of the brides as they left their brothers. Cardinal Naidu took out a gold ribbon and tied King Jayas hand to that of Princess Adela’s, and then went and repeated it between Crown Prince Jayas and Princess Christina. The brides and grooms joined together, the Cardinal conducted the ceremony.

Lord Wynters served as the ring bear for the King, while his eldest son for the Crown Prince. With the exchange of the rings the Cardinal look to the royals and asked:

“Do you, King Jayas of the Meyarines, take Adela of Genes to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor her all the days of your life?”

King Jayas nodded. “I Do.”

“Do you, Crown Prince Jayas of the Meyarines, Duke of Salmare, take Christina of Imarati & Genes to be your wife? Do you promise to be faithful to her in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, to love her and to honor her all the days of your life?”

Crown Prince Jayas swallowed the lump in his throat. “I do.”

The Cardinal then repeated this to the two princesses, changes made as need be.

Princess Adela blushed slightly at King Jayas’s whispered words, and whispered back some of her own. Her smile never left her and she listened to the Cardinal. She turned to Jayas and kissed her and King Jayas’ bounded hands. “I do.”

Christina needed no such preamble. She had barely heard the crown prince speak to her and instead focused on the celebrant. Before the last syllable was even out of Cardinal Naidu’s mouth she practically shouted, “I do!”

Cardinal Naidu nodded and read out the nuptial blessing.

“O God, who by your mighty power
created all things out of nothing,
and, when you had set in place
the beginnings of the universe,
formed man and woman in your own image,
making the woman an inseparable helpmate to the man,
that they might be no longer two, but one flesh,
and taught that what you were pleased to make one
must never be divided;
O God, who consecrated the bond of Marriage
by so great a mystery
that in the wedding covenant you foreshadowed
the Sacrament of Christ and his Church;
O God, by whom woman is joined to man
and the companionship they had in the beginning
is endowed with the one blessing
not forfeited by original sin
nor washed away by the flood.
Look now with favor on these your servants,
joined together in Marriage,
who ask to be strengthened by your blessing.
Send down on them the grace of the Holy Spirit
and pour your love into their hearts,
that they may remain faithful in the Marriage covenant.
May the grace of love and peace
abide in your children, our gracious King, our dutiful prince, and their consorts,
and let them always follow the example of those holy persons
whose praises are sung in the Scriptures.
May they trust their hearts to one another,
so that, acknowledging each their equal
and their joint heir to the life of grace,
they may show them due honor
and cherish them always
with the love that Christ has for his Church.
And now, Lord, we implore you:
may these your servants
hold fast to the faith and keep your commandments;
made one in the flesh,
may they be blameless in all they do;
and with the strength that comes from the Gospel,
may they bear true witness to Christ before all;
may they be blessed with children,
and prove themselves virtuous parents,
who live to see their children’s children.
And grant that,
reaching at last together the fullness of years
for which they hope,
they may come to the life of the blessed
in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.”

Cardinal cut the ribbons around the two couples’ hands. For now there was no need for them to be bounded in the physical world, for now their very souls intertwined so.

“By the power invest in me, I pronounce you man and wife, man and wife.”

The whole of the cathedral erupted into thunderous applause, cheers and a storm of confetti. There was no kissing in the wedding ceremony in the Meyarines, that was seen as immodest. Still happiness seemed to radiate off the two couples, all could agree from their seats. The new Crown Prince and Crown Princess lead the way back down the aisle, followed by the new King and Queen. Outside one would find that the earlier parade and procession had all been cleared away, the Sbargera cleared and swept during the lengthy wedding ceremony. In its place were two glided horse drawn carriages, horses with purple plumage on their heads the Crown Prince lead his new bride into the the first carriage, following in after her and they they were off, waving to the celebratory crowds as they made their way to Saundarya palace.

They were soon followed by the King and Queen in their own carriage, the cheers growing even louder as they welcomed the new additions to the royal family.

Royal Palace of Saundarya, Kela, the Meyarines

It was here, at the Royal Palace of Saundarya that the main social event of the day was to take play. Having started in the morning and carried all the way until noon, the wedding itself, grand as it was, had been but the start of the festivities. Now the Royal Palace, built by King Jayas himself in the heart of the capital, opened its gates to a number of high profile guests from the Meyarines and beyond. Attire was formal and the press gathered around the palace gates as the guests, chancellors, ministers, dukes, princes, kings and even emperors from distant lands came to mingle and meet with the knew happy royal couples and the true festivities would begin!

There was the almost insect like sound of dozens of cameras shuttering as pictures were taken the arrivals at the palace. Having once been two separate nations, the Meyarines had historically found itself locked in focus with one another, and though they had unified decades ago, they were still often surprised to find foreigners from so far afield in the capital.

Red carpets lead the away from the front door, flanked by Royal Guards, inside up the grand staircase to the throne room, a massive hall room were the dais for thrones sat. Ushered through the doors, Grand Archigós, and those that followed him had heralds announced the arrivals for the Royal Court.

Amidst the arrivals came much of the Meyarieno upper nobilities, the many dukes from both the insular and mainland regions.

The good King and Queen of Abetton arrived at the Royal Palace of Saundarya after spending some time getting ready for the glorious party. King Ira and his wife, Ophelia had finished a busy few months back home with matters of the nation and government so in a weird way, this was like a little vacation for them, so to speak. Obviously a high class event like this that will have many heads of state in attendance including many monarchs no doubt. It will be a fine event, it seemed recently the king and Queen were so busy at home while their children were having all the fun. Their youngest daughter had a lavish birthday party with guests from all over the world, their second and older daughter took her first good will mission abroad. The oldest son, okay he still had yet to do anything earth shattering but that was him for you. Well now it was the parents turn to have some enjoyment outside the country they called home.

Maids and menservants alike helped them dress and prepare and ushered them to the car which now pulled in at the front of the palace. Time to meet the new bride and groom, hopefully, obviously events like this tend to tie people up for long long periods, certainly it was true of their wedding years ago. Ah it was a romantic site, so many onlookers and so much cheer, what a great day for a wedding. Press were swarming snapping endless pictures from every angle imaginable. Even they wondered who else of rank and file would be in attendance today? Exciting to find out, but still they had to set their sights on at least giving their regards to the newlyweds.
