ARTISTS! Favorite Art Materials?

Postby Erinland » Fri Nov 18, 2022 10:33 am

What is your favorite style of art or art materials of choice?

I usually go for watercolor paints combined with ink pens for shading. I tend to make realistic work and I am excited to say that i am redesigning my flag with the materials mentioned. :)

I'm not that much of an artist, but I mostly use canvas and oils to make abstract and minimalist paintings. I also have been trying to do drawings with paper and pencils.

I love to work with oil paint, but sometimes I am so impatient with the length of time they usually take to dry :lol2:

I can definitely respect someone who has the patience to paint with oils!

Classic pencil art with certain shading tools can be pretty popular! :) I like to use pencil for black and white realistic drawings!

I much prefer oil paints to acrylic paints. I like time to sit and think.

Paint markers and watercolor pencils but I tend to stick to my mechanical pencils. Kneaded erasers are also a must, I currently have my kneaded eraser in the shape of a T-Rex

The materials I'd like to use for my sketchbook (or for a sheet of cardstock or paper that will be glued into the sketchbook) are ballpoint pens, colored pencils, watercolor, and alcohol markers.

Oil pastels can be fun too.

I haven't tried mixed-media pages.

I was quite versed in watercolour, but my career has been at a halt for health reasons. :(

I prefer blood.

I'm not the type to paint my works, but usually i leave them uncoloured. I paint in a mix of sketching and actual drawing, so I use a mechanical pencil for this. It's just great for my type of art, but I also sometimes use a pen.
