Trade Agreement with Oceania

The Governate has also announced that it would begin to supply Oceania with a viable meat option for its population. Ships began departing the ports of Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Kuwait City, and Karachi with the first shipments of this new source of protein for the beleaguered nation of Oceania and its hungry people. The Governess released a single statement on the matter.

It is in our interests to see the people of Oceania fed and not in a state of hunger. While not many nations have sought our aid in times of crisis, we will not back down from the opportunity to pass on some of our staple food crops to the meat-starved nation.

SIC: Prisoners from the conflicts in the middle east and the ones in East Africa are being packed away into these ships that were being transported to Oceania. Some however only had shipping containers filled with boxes of canned meat. Regardless of their port of origin, there would be both fresh and preserved meats sent to the people of Oceania.

The canned meat that was in the shipping containers where to be re-labeled with the Victory-Ration brand and with the batch of Prisoners coming in various "Processing Stations" were set up near ports and inspectors write temporary prisoner profiles that would be destroyed later for those who were approved to become food so the canneries know they weren't carrying anything harmful to human health. Those who were rejected were sent somewhere else probably either to be used as labor or as lab rats.

20 miles off the Coast of Gonswanza

Three ships, shipping crates stacked to maximum height, and two ships with large oil containers are approaching their final destination. After departing from the port of Pointe-Noire in the African Governate, the ships were filled with cargo which had been sold to the nation of Gonswanza for an unknown quantity of an unknown resource. It seemed that the simple prospect of possibly working together in a conflict permitted the exportation of products from the the typically closed economy of the Governate. It wasn't publicly stated knowledge what the price for these good were, but based on the Governate's economy it was either something incredibly rare or just difficult to obtain in general.

There were promises of future supply deliveries with the expectation that the coming conflict would require Gonswanza to be flush with these varied resources. More importantly however, the Governate needed to be sure that no foreign power would attempt to overtly or covertly attempt to damage this supply chain as the Governate was also making preparations for other trade ventures.

With the supplies being delivered, the Gonswanzan navy was quick (or rather, rushed) to prepare for it, attempting to run an "intercept" to escort the goods. A bit strange to call it such, but no other term fit it, with the warships racing to try to meet the ships before it was too late.

Lateness aside, however, it was your typical "oh fuck" moment.

The risk of a crash was real, if this were the age of sail, but thanks to modern systems, the ships narrowly avoid slamming into the transport WHEN they arrive, going out of their way to adjust their course and steer away before lining up to flank the transport, for a safe (albiet rushed) move to Gonswanza.

Gay Rights Activists Arrested

Earlier today members of the Livonian National Police arrested some 600-650 leaders of gay rights groups. Several of them being connected to terrorist groups, like "The People's Army of Livonia". Multiple of them, including Błażej Gałczyński, Dawid Kulpa, and Wioleta Kruszyńska have committed suicide while awaiting trial. In a press release with the LNP Director Jarosław Wacek stated, "...They have posed a significant threat to Livonian Democracy, thus they need to dealt with the full extent of the law." Many more members of LGBT Rights groups have already fled the nation, or have plans to. The Royal Family has made no official statement on the situation in Livonia.

Breaking News: Military Coup by General Mwebu Kangu; Monarchy Proclaimed.

Felix Tshikesi, the communist dictator, has been murdered just two days ago by Mwebu Kangu, the People's Republic of Congo's then-general. Felix Tshikesi may very well have struggled for Congo's independence, but after becoming entangled in a corruption investigation and emerging triumphant, he lost all respectability. More than anyone else, he was disliked by the masses. But nobody contemplated plotting a coup. Mwebu Kangu was the only individual who gave it some thought. He had been preparing for a coup for around 15 years. He garnered respect as he gradually solidified his authority among the Congolese people and politicians. After all these years of labor, he finally succeeded in starting the coup and carrying it out. He first proclaimed a republic, which drew harsh criticism and numerous questions about the nature of democracy in the Congo. But he formally proclaimed himself the King of the Kingdom of Congo this morning. He stated in a speech,

Hello to Anyone and everyone. My inauguration as king of the Congo, our motherland, occurred today. This decision, in my judgment, was the appropriate one and would bring prosperity to the Congo. Nevertheless, I and my government can assure you that the humanitarian and democratic conditions will remain the same, if not greater. There will now be questions about democracy and how the state will operate. With a parliament, this kingdom will function as a constitutional monarchy, which eliminates authoritarianism by preventing the concentration of power in the hands of a single individual. Because of its history, the Congolese Communist Party will be abolished. Nonetheless, new communist parties can only be created if the individual involved has never before belonged to the CCP (Congolese Communist Party). They'll be kept out of politics. Due to the frequent purges, Felix Tshikesi conducted to remove those who were disloyal to him, the figure isn't particularly large. Only a handful of his devoted pals genuinely belonged to the party; the majority were simply recruited and given enormous sums of money to demonstrate that democracy exists in the nation. I anticipate a positive response to my actions from the Congo and the rest of the globe, and I'm prepared to address any concerns. I sincerely appreciate it.

Siege of Damascus

As the sun starts to rise on the city, its time to surrender had expired. As the sun's light touched each piece of artillery it opened fire. Guns pounding the city's defenders, as well as any structure which could provide them shelter. Unlike in Baghdad, there wasn't a plan to flatten the whole of the city, but the option was not on the table. Governate officers were slowly taking over for the Shah's officers and military forces were being transferred to the new command structure during the siege itself. While it wasn't sure when the city would fall, the full encirclement and artillery barrage from beyond what the city could return fire from seemed to suggest that the city wouldn't last too long.

Further south from Damascus, a near identical siege was being mounted against a smaller city. However, as the sun reached the city, the guns were silent. A full surrender had been offered and accepted by the newly appointed Field Commander of the Center Force, Valyin s'Toslst. The Surrender ceremony was performed at noon and the city and territorial military forces were stripped of their weapons and sent eastwards. Many for reeducation facilities while the less capable were sent to processing facilities. It seemed that in the case of surrender, more of the population remained or were repurposed for use within the Governate's territory.

The rest of the nation didn't fall silently with the surrender of the regional capital however. Fighting continued in the south where Governate forces clashed with and had to forcibly subdue several towns as they moved into the area. Furthermore, the forces near Amman itself began the occupation of the city and advancing beyond it to the Jordan River. Artillery was being set up on the east side of the Dead Sea, their range giving them the ability to hit anything between them and the Mediterranean from this location.

Inside the spire, Governess Ilyas worked on organizing the consolidation of territories. There was a great deal of bureaucracy to work through with the Shah's territory spanning from the western fringes of china to where his forces were pushing into the coastal regions of the Levant. For her, the international situations beside the impending invasion of the Romanic Imperium were just a side show. Her forces were well prepared for that fight, and the Persian territories had their own forces pushing out an ally of the Romanic Imperium from their lightly defended, seemingly, holdings in the Eastern Mediterranean. There was however, the nation between the Governate's African territories and the soon to be assaulted Egypt.

While she'd already reached an agreement with Redquartz as to transiting the territory with her military for the joint operation against the Romans, her own advisers wished to establish a land connection in full. However, she pointed out that they simply could bypass the nation by pushing into the Horn and onto the Arabian Peninsula, another conquest as it were. However, such a conquest would require a short conclusion to the Romanic intervention. A much easier method would simply be to purchase the land along the NIle from Redquartz outright, giving them free passage across that strip of land to keep their nation connected. There was some doubt as to if they'd even entertain such an agreement, but it was something she had to try and handle before authorizing any kind of military operation into the Horn of Africa.

While training and preparation for war was occurring from the Krieg in Esoya, there was still celebration in one base. This base was FOB Lima-Charlie, where 'Squad Delta India Charlie Kilo' was stationed, and today was truly a cause for celebration. 2 of the Guardsmen had reached 18, and since this entire squad had earned names, this was a true cause for celebration, as no one in Krieg had reached the age of 18 in their universe for Millennia, meaning while this squad may not have seen their birthday in their universe, they HAD in this one. They got special permission from the Harbinger himself to celebrate, with training, a little bit of drinking, and being allowed to use artillery and dig trenches.

"Gideon, Pax, you boys actually lived this long, I think the Emperor has blessed you." Squad Leader Galen said, clinking his drink with the rest of the squads'. "We've dug 10 trenches and some foxholes today sir, I think that's a damn fine celebration!" "It's not over Pax, i'm gonna see if we can get authorization to visit Korea soon so we can try to get an autograph from their leader. After that, we can see if Gonswanza actually exists as a country, because I can't find it on any damn map."

Less than a full hour later, Gideon and Pax were trying to bribe a tree. "Listen here, tree, I have... 100 Imperial Thrones with your name on it if you stop killing people when they try to cut you down. I also am willing to give you... Livonian civilian ships will still be required to stop for inspection when passing through the Mitheldalondian blockades at the entrances to the Baltic and Aegean Seas, but will otherwise not be interfered with. We regret that such measures are necessary, but believe that the danger of Russia or Armenia* using civilian vessels with false registrations to illegally sneak an invasion force past the blockade is too great to ignore.

Mitheldalond has no interest in acquiring any territory from this war. However, given that Livonia is the only Baltic state to have avoided Russian annexation, we would be willing to place the rest of the Baltic states under Livonian control once we have liberated them from Russian hands, as a hedge against future Russian aggression.

Bleora
A single transmission began going across all Krieg communications devices in Bleora. "It's time. Purge the last village of Bleorans." Guardsmen surround the village of Tekhandia, as artillery began shelling it. As natives tried to run, a flamer unit began firing, watching people burn alive. "LET NONE ESCAPE!" A commissar shouted. "GHOST HAS WILLED THEIR DEMISE!" No one was being spared, not man, nor woman, nor child. A few minutes later, mustard gas was released into the village, mopping up the remaining villagers.

Not a single person at the village was armed, it had been a slaughter. "Tell me, have any war crimes been committed, Commissar?" The Camera was recording the blatant crimes against humanity in the background. "None at all, how can you commit a war crime if they aren't human? Would YOU classify a heretic against the God Emperor as a human, Journalist?" "No sir, suffer not the heretic to live." "Good man! I see one trying to run!" Gay Rights Activists Arrested

Earlier today members of the Livonian National Police arrested some 600-650 leaders of gay rights groups. Several of them being connected to terrorist groups, like "The People's Army of Livonia". Multiple of them, including Błażej Gałczyński, Dawid Kulpa, and Wioleta Kruszyńska have committed suicide while awaiting trial. In a press release with the LNP Director Jarosław Wacek stated, "...They have posed a significant threat to Livonian Democracy, thus they need to dealt with the full extent of the law." Many more members of LGBT Rights groups have already fled the nation, or have plans to. The Royal Family has made no official statement on the situation in Livonia.

Lissy is checking the news while relaxing in a bath, prismatic flames of candles dancing all around her.

Commissars were experiencing Kriegers being more rowdy than usual, fighting each other over almost anything, not having been able to fight in so long, save the massacre of the natives in the last village of Bleora. A Commissar had come up with a plan to temporarily quench the bloodthirst of the Krieg, especially of the 90th. The thousands of captive natives that Krieg had around prisons in Bleora began to be brought to 3 seperate places, with the Death Riders, the 90th, and the Flame units being put at each area. A whistle rang out in the areas, as the Death Riders ran down the prisoners with lances, who had been bound so they couldn't run. Flame units were burning their prisoners, as the 90th's actions were unspeakable, starting to tear into the corpses the moment they killed the natives. The prisoners included men, women, and children, even infants, who the 90th were throwing into the air to catch on their bayonets while they were on fire.

Every single second of the incidents were being broadcast publicly, live as it happened, by the journalists of the Imperial News Network, who were cheering it on.

Let me be clear, Nanking is a staged show, purely fir propaganda purposes. You can see the actors are alive and well, even as we worked to try to make it apparent. Who bothers caring for camera quality in a war, after all?
