There has been talk of changing the Swïres to the primary unit of Tmezestos once again, due to the high value of the Geus making it fairly unwieldy for day-to-day use. However, it is popular among the trade guilds and traditionalists, and so there is little actual likelihood of it changing.

In 1989, when the value of the Cŋus was changed from 1/120 that of the Swïres to 1/100 (as it remains today), the government attempted an exchange of all Cŋus coins, for new variants in an event known as "Hundred Day". Some realised that, technically, the value of 1ꞔ would go up by nearly 1/50 of a Swïres, which would add up to a not inconsiderable amount. As such, many planned to simply keep their old coins, and exchange them after Hundred Day, which they believed would allow them to keep the Cŋus-value of their coins and make a great deal. The government response was sluggish, and did not adequately warn many that this would not be the case. As many as 12,000 people across the country ended up losing money by thinking they could exchange old coins after Hundred Day, with a small number of people who had converted much of their wealth to old Cŋus coins, hoping to make hundreds, possibly even thousands, on the changeover. A legal battle occurred, and though the treasury was not found to have been at fault for the event, a few resignations did occur within the government and treasury.
