So, I just looked up Russia's stance on compulsory organ harvesting (for realism's sake), and I found out they literally harvest your organs without your consent. Russia said asking for permission before taking your organs is inhumane. I can't make this shit up.

Two of these articles are from 2016 and the other is from 2018. Has the situation changed since then? And why did you feel like you had to let us know of this particular fact at this particular time - i.e. fifteen minutes after you joined NationStates with a nation called "Putin Rus" that flies the Russian flag?

It might not be so bad, provided the state makes sure you are dead before cutting open and taking. There is a limited time where a person is dead but some major organs can be kept "alive enough" for transplants.

"Too dead to care" about anything after I'm gone.

Because I just got the compulsory organ harvesting issue and looked it up out of curiosity, I thought it was wild. Now that I look more into it though, way more countries than just Russia have that policy so it's probably not that crazy

Some people care about both their bodies and others' bodies when they are dead. Organ Harvesting should be exclusively consentary.

Saying "It can't say no" as a way of justifying doing something is about the worst argument someone can make.
And, yes, Dead people can say no, if they tell you before their death "I do not want my organs to be harvested."
People have the right to their own body, both in life and after.

Opt-out organ harvesting is pretty reasonable. People are more likely to choose organ donation if it’s the default option. You still have the freedom to choose and more patients can be treated. It’s a win-win scenario.
