Following a new bill sponsored by the Prime Minister,
Sir Sikandar Khan KG QPM MP(Lib-Dems, Kingston and Surbiton), being passed into law
(which forbids
‘the teaching of inverse gender roles or indoctrination against gender roles per se.’ in state schools and state further education colleges),
100,000 feminists are protesting in London, along with 10,000 in Manchester, 3,000 in Oxford and 3,500 in various other parts of the country.

200,000 police officers, most of them women, have been sent in to ensure the protests are conducted lawfully.

Despite the large protest turnout, a YouGov poll reveals a small majority in favour of the law.

I don't think you understand. This bill promotes the idea that gender roles should exist which will inevitably lead to further issues. Gender roles are outdated.

OOC: it’s bare bones for three reasons
1. It just outlaws two examples which the public could agree are wrong with relatively few issues.

2. I’m not posting a whole act of Parliament which would be too long for anyone here to read.

3. There hasn’t been a single court case in which the law is alleged to have been broken yet though there will be soon.

Protests have gone on with very little violence on the part of either protestors or police.
Currently 57.5% of citizens support the new law with Muslims, Hindus, people of colour, the elderly and rural people being disproportionately in favour.


Additionally, a schoolteacher at a special school in Tewkesbury is currently on trial under this new law.

The teacher has pled guilty and given a two year sentence suspended for 10 months.

This means that if they are convicted of a crime within 10 months, they will be imprisoned for two years.
Otherwise; they’re free to go though they’ve lost their job at the school.
