I drank the libertarian Kool-Aid as a teenager, and an obscure love of """Freedom""" led to to calling myself an Ancap. After about a few weeks of that though, It dawned on me that if people still murder people now when there are exentsive systems in place to stop them, what the hell were things going to be like when there was nothing to stop anyone from doing anything?

From there I started questioning the purpose and need of authority, and even appreciating when it is used nobly. I am a right wing radical, but I wouldn't count myself among the racist Alt-right types. I just want the Roosevelt's back.

As someone who actually goes to Marxist-Leninist meetings, there are no major Marxist-Leninists with the power to destroy the country, nor Anarcho-Communists.

like anywhere it rears its ugly head, fascism and alt-right thought of any kind must be combatted at every possible time from every possible angle, including online and in person. if we let it fester, we get 22/7, charlottesville, christchurch, and buffalo.

the term "alt-right" cannot be used to describe the republican party because the republican party is a liberal party. it is an individualist, pro-business, pro-private property, pro-free trade, and pro-capitalist party. it is morally equivalent to the democratic party. the GOP is just more open about its unfettered liberalism and hatred of those it views beneath them than the democratic party, who offers seemingly left-of-center "reforms" when they are adequate or advantageous and dropping them entirely come the next election cycle when they're not popular anymore.

the "alt-right" are the neo-fascists and neo-nazis, the white supremacists and "third way" --- the remnants of the KKK, nazi parties, and the "new nationalist" movements which rear their ugly heads throughout the world. is the duty of all civilized people on every continent to combat them when they do, no matter your political affiliation. communist or liberal, conservative or libertarian, red or blue; when fascism threatens us, if you do not combat it, then you are morally siding with it. we have seen it before. we can see it now. we will see it again.

don't get me wrong. liberalism and fascism should both be combatted; but at the end of the day, i'd rather shoot the person stabbing me before the person a few yards away with the intent to stab me.

That... doesn't excuse killing a bunch of people at riots? I'm all for living in Harmony and what not, Andy Griffith and all, but that doesn't mean that innocents getting murdered in the mean time is justifiable.

There is a small group of people who are culturally so far in the gutter, IE, inclined to support whatever appears the most progressive; regardless of the policy actually is. I'll concede that.

Are they annoying? Big time. Are they destroying the country? No.

I would go as far as to say that no one group is destroying the country per se; many groups of people are contributing to our steady decline, but much of our decline started with malicious institutional incompetence, and if for whatever reason America does hit the fan in the next few decades; they'll probably be the end cause as well.
