BREAKING: Armenia Issues Ultimatum to South Olpen, Tirana Pact

Tis all too convenient...

His Imperial Majesty - after requesting for the "Balkan Affair" to be resolved diplomatically time and time again - has henceforth authorized the issuing of an ultimatum both the Olpenese government and those providing aid and/or holding active membership in the Tirana Pact; citing 'threats to Armenian territorial integrity'...and noting the recent arrival of the Olpenese Chamber Minister as, undoubtedly, proof of provocation. As such - in the interests of national security - the aforementioned ultimatum was both brutally honest, yet - in a way - unprofessional. It - of course - demanded the complete withdrawal from Olpenese forces from the Balkans, and with them their materiel and/or logistical support - and has called for the complete dissolution of the Tirana Pact - claiming that it, and its members, pose a threat to peace and stability in an otherwise pacified land. Besides - authorities in the Balkans have claimed that ethnic tensions have, for the most part, died down in the viceroyalty...mostly due to Armenia's promotion of a 'common cause' and a 'greater good'. Were either of the two to reject to abide by the ultimatum's terms - His Imperial Majesty has, in front of thousands, made it clear that the Armenian military can and will, by any means necessary, fulfill said terms themselves. Even with said warnings - the Armenian government doubts that neither the Olpenese, nor their allies, will take the terms seriously.

All Quiet in the Balkans: Agreement Reached

At last, it has been done...

The Armenian government has finally - after much debate with their Olpenese counterparts through backdoor channels - announced their acquisition of the Balkan peninsula...having - at last - ended the dreaded Balkan Affair. The Armenians swiftly rolled through the rest of the peninsula in their convoys - each of their vehicles adorned with both Armenian, as well as Byzantine, imagery. Following behind the convoys of men are - of course - the clergy, and with them is His Imperial Majesty; now dubbed the 'peacemaker' for his role in securing long-awaited peace in the region. His Imperial Majesty has also - controversially - awarded the Olpenese chamber minister with many a laurel; claiming that the latter's role in securing a mutually beneficial deal was 'not to be underestimated'. This deal has - of course - also brought about the 'true' revivial of Byzantium...truly - a heavenly realm on Earth. Some radicals have often question whether or not this constitutes a 'victory' or not...though His Imperial Majesty has often made it clear that, as there was no real 'war', there was no sort of 'victory'.

As an act of gratitude, the Armenian government has also provided South Olpen with many an exclusive privilege - most notably the title of 'favoured nation'; granting South Olpen 'special' priority when it comes to trade; and a permanent guarantee that, no matter what, Armenia would never enter an armed conflict with the Olpenese government. Both sides have also mutually agreed to hold a vote every six months which; providing a constant source of info regarding the Balkans' opinion on Armenian rule. Indeed, the Olpenese (and the Balkans) were showered with many a privilege, but - in the end - it was worth it. Besides - Twas a better choice than going to war - and a better choice than to risk damaging Armenia's prestige. Nevertheless, indeed...tis all quiet in the Balkans.

To the nations of the KTO and their allies,

You have been deceived. The communist regime in Aquaria and the communist leadership of the KTO would have you believe that the war you bring against Aursi is lawful and just. They claim that Aursi's implementation of a constitutional monarchy violates the Treaty of Aurtumn. They claim that the referrendum which put that monarchy in power was undemocratic and does not represent the will of the people. And they claim that these facts give them the right to invade Aursi.

None of this is true.

Over 20 million Aursian citizens participated in the referendum, and the results were overwhelmingly in favor of restoring a constitutional monarchy to power. The government of Aquaria says that because this represents only 25% of the Aursian population of 80 million, the results are undemocratic. They say that because this is less than 50% of the population, the results do not represent the will of the people.

Whether they are deliberately misunderstanding how the democratic process works or are merely ignorant, I do not know. Regardless, it should be readily obvious to anyone that the results of an election can only be based on the votes received. This is why many political groups run campaigns urging the populace to vote when election time rolls around. While a 25% voter turnout is admittedly quite low, it does not mean that the opinions of the other 75% were not taken into account. It means that the other 75% did not have strong enough opinions on the outcome of the referendum to bother submitting a ballot; they chose to abstain from voting. While the Aquarian government could have rightly called for a second referendum with a higher voter turnout - and it would be wise of Aursi to conduct one - they instead chose to resort to threats and violence to enforce their will, with no attempt at diplomacy. They have no right to take such actions, especially as there have been no allegations of any sort of election or voter fraud from any party (though we would not be surprised if the communist regime makes such claims after receiving this letter). By taking such measures, Aquaria - and the KTO by supporting them - have shown their true colors.

Aquaria also claims that the Aursi Referendum violates Article 5 of Treaty of Aurtumn. Our legal experts have reviewed the relative documents, and have concluded that this is nonsense. Article 5 states in part that

"Aursi shall never be an absolute monarchy again, nor a one-party state or a dictatorship."

The treaty says nothing whatsoever about a constitutional monarchy, which is what has been implemented in Aursi. This means that the treaty signatories cannot use Article 5 as an excuse to invade Aursi. Aquaria and KTO leadership have chosen to ignore this fact.

Furthermore, our legal experts argue that substantial ambiguities and inconsistencies in the Treaty of Aurtumn itself should, in their opinion, render the entire treaty wholly unenforceable. Article 12 of the treaty states

"12. All countries, after the civil war, should stop their further influence on Aursi."

Meanwhile, according to Article 1,

"1. The Aursian Civil War, after the representatives of the attending countries have signed, is officially ended..."

There can be no question that the terms of the treaty itself represent further foreign influence on Aursi. Therefore, the most straightforward reading of these two treaty articles would indicate that the treaty immediately expires and is voided as soon as it has been signed by all parties. Another possible interpretation is that the treaty expires after the five year period of Aquarian control over Aursi set forth in Article 11. Obviously, the intentions of the treaty here are highly ambiguous and open to interpretation. Aquaria and the KTO will almost certainly argue that this interpretation is not what was intended by the treaty; however, the legal standard is that any ambiguity in a contract must be interpreted in the light most favorable to the party that did not write the contract. Aursi did not write the treaty, and it must therefore be interpreted in Aursi's favor.

On the other hand, the fact that Aursi has thus far abided by the terms of the treaty shows that they do consider it to be valid and applicable. Yet even that does not change the fact that Aursi has done nothing to violate the treaty, and the KTO cannot justify their invasion on this basis.

What then is the true motive for this war? It does not come from any legitimate grievance, nor is it justified by any matter of law or treaty. It is not out of concern for the people of Aursi. It does not come from any mutual defense clause in the KTO charter, for no KTO nation has been attacked; the KTO are in fact the agressors.

After the Aursian Civil War, several communist nations, including KTO leadership, attempted to force Aursi to adopt the ideals of communism and socialism. This was one of the main goals of the Treaty of Aurtumn. It was a radical change from Aursian ideology, as very few in the nation actually held communist views, and the Aursian people were all but universally dissatisfied with the new situation forced upon them. Because of this, the efforts of the Communist Bloc have ultimately ended in failure.

That is what this this war is about. The nations of the Communits Bloc are angry that their plans have failed, and in their anger have decided to launch an illegal invasion to take revenge on the people of Aursi, whom they could not bend to their will. They care nothing for justice, nothing for democracy, and nothing for the people of Aursi. They seek to destroy Aursian sovereignty, and to quash their right to self-determination.

Nations and allies of the KTO, this is what you fight for: for the communist agenda, and for someone else's petty revenge. You fight on the side of tyranny and opression, of lawlessness and chaos, of cruelty and vindictiveness. For too long has this communist agression gone unchecked. For too long has Mitheldalond sat by and done nothing.

No longer.

Nations and allies of the KTO, I call upon you to abandon this unjust war against Aursi. Mitheldalond will stand against the forces of aggression and imperialism, and will fight to oppose them. Already elements of our military have been pre-deployed to Aursi to assist in the defense of the nation and its people. I call upon all the nations of the free world to stand with us, if not through force of arms then through political and economic actions.

And to all the nations that choose to continue carrying out this war against Aursi, I give this warning: do not make the mistake of believing yourselves safe in your homelands far from the fighting. You are not.

Following the ending of the Cameroon crisis Sonakion efforts in the region have largely been focused on the set-up of various mines, forestries and related industries in Cameroon particularly formerly war torn areas. This was Sonakions thanks in return for helping crush the Rebels giving Sonakion first-hand access to Cameroons natural resources. Not that this would be a poor deal of course with these efforts promising employment for thousands along with a steady stream of money into Cameroon itself. So far however little employment has been caused by the building of the industries prompting some to wonder how the projects going on.

Yet now Sonakion has recently announced that it plans to begin exportation of these resources Following a focus on shipping them to Sonakion via Sonakion shipping companies. Such a step however still requires the end of the current period of Internal development Sonakion is in and has been hinted to be soon ended multiple times.

A Return to Tradition: Kovkas Cap Replaces the Royal Crown

Tis an interesting choice...

Via a sudden decree, His Imperial Majesty has henceforth announced that - from now on - the Kovkas Crown, rather than the western-styled 'Royal Crown' (in service since 1967), of which was introduced by the late Hrach I - would be used in all future coronations of an Armenian sovereign. This - according to His Imperial Majest's advisors - is the first step in the 'Karg' (lit. 'Order') Reforms - a series of cultural and political reforms dedicated to return the Armenian state to its routes...adhering to the strict, pious doctrine of the late Hovsep I. The cap itself is extremely similar to the Russian 'Monomakh's Cap' - having been commissioned by the aforementioned king in 1923...and having been made by the Russian-born Tsaryov brothers; of whom are noted for their works on other regalia. Such a decision has - of course - sparked a rift between western-leaning reformists and traditionalists...the latter of which hold a majority in the National Assembly.

In accordance with said decision - the Armenian government has decided to move the Royal Crown into the State Armoury; where it will remain, only ever to be displayed at public exhibits - such as the Annual State Jewels Exhibit, held each year on the first of December. As per protocol - the Kovkas is, of course, to be observed (and polished) before being handed over to the Armenian Apostolic Church...of whom will present the cap to His Imperial Majesty during his coronation - scheduled for the twenty-eighth of September.

The UACF, historically the least funded or cared-about branch of the military, is seemingly getting a new lease on life with the return to foreign intervention.

As a part of the reforms outlined in the “New Military Policy”, the UACF will have almost all of its outdated equipment replaced and updated to match current standards, with specific portions of the text noting an end to the “Decadent and Wasteful” use-and-destroy tactics of the former UACF.
Over 20 Generals and 300 Pilots have been sacked due to failing to comply with new standards, most notably including the former leader of the UACF, San Hoon, being replaced with noted member of the CGC Pankratiy Baranov.

Sansakan Island - 700 Kilometers west of Maricha City

The Sansakan Island is one of the few uninhabited islands of the Union Island Group, having pristine beaches, warm weather, and a bunch of Santan shrubs, hence the name, Sansakan. This silent, peaceful, and cozy little island is soon to become a place of horror, as it becomes the new genetic research and experiments facility of the Revolutionary Ministry for Health. Under the independent decision of the Revolutionary Council and the Janpian Union of Revolutionary Intelligence Center, an airbase proper has been declared with the location covering the entire Sansakan Island and setting the border proper to around 70 kilometers from its coast. By documentative papers, the reason for this is to activate a new squadron, the 45th Strike Wing, with the goal to protect the Union Islands Group and to further enhance Janpian capabilities on places away from the mainland. Dubbed the Sansakan Airbase, the base would have 2 runways, a deep sea enclosed harbor, 2 drydocks, 2 harbor, and some military settlements for the revolutionaries. Hangars foundations were also placed to cover the aircrafts, while a small farming sector run by the revolutionaries are grown at the north of the island. A single train track is also set, crossing through the important places such as the 2 Ports, Sansakan Airbase Headquarters, the small agricultural settlements, and the Northern pier. As for the construction, regular labor unions from nearby islands were used to build the airbase, ferrying them and their equipment towards Sansakan to work on common stuff such as the railroad, harbor, runways, and other airbase necessities. While its still under construction, military workers sets up restrictions on to the area, while the division logistics personnel works on to dig underground. Avoiding any international suspicions, the dig site has been covered by a camouflaged sheet, while the logistics division are dressed in missileer uniforms to assume that they are building a huge ICBM silo. The old abandoned Fort Santan, a 4th era garrison for the Imperial Soldiers, has been demolished to make way for the control tower. Of course, the construction would prompt some questions from the Union of Party Members Committee, putting the Missileer Command on to questioning presided over by the People's Marshal. Their prepared excuse for the secrecy? It is to protect the Revolutionary interests on the Union Island Group, with hints that it is a large ICBM base. Of course, the People's Marshal is quite aware of what the Revolutionary Council, JURIC, Revolutionary Ministry for Health, and whatever cohorts are doing, though she is just..... silent. Her recent talk with Laura gave her quite an idea on how huge the operation is going. In the meantime, research for genetic cat girls will be done on Khavarak Research Complex, which is constantly besieged by curious protesters outside its gates.

On East Lankia, the first batch of Janpian construction workers arrived, all wearing blue KTO construction helmets and the flag of Janpia. Construction materials such as cement, wood, steel cables, and wires are brought in truck loads, arriving from JRS Slariav, an Alevayev-Class LSD ship. Their project? It is to build affordable apartment blocks on Wallow city, utilizing non sub-standard materials on doing so. Their objective vision is to build a community to house 1.9 million displaced people, all while clearing the damage brought by the civil war. As such, trucks, construction, and clearing vehicles are sent, with the first mission to clear the roads and approved building space, so that they can start laying down the necessary foundations and do some ground breaking.

Official Endorsement of the KTO

The government of The Democratic Republic of Aumbura felt it was pressing and unecessary to provide a statement on the ongoing warfare within The Confederation of Aursi.

At this moment in time, warfare is being waged between The Confederation of Aursi and member nations of the KTO. The reason for this conflict is simple. The Confederation of Aursi has made the unfortunate decision to revert back to a monarchist state, which clearly and directly violates the conditions set by the Treaty of Aurtumn. Thus the KTO has been left with no choice but to attempt to bring Aursi's government to a democratic state.

Restructuring the Imperial Guard: New Units Introduced

Ah, the Imperial Guard - Armenia's most loyal troops...

Having been established via the merging of the Leyby Guard and the Anvtangut’yun shortly before the assassination of the late Gdridg II - the Imperial Guard are one of, if not the most trusted groups in Armenia's Armed Forces - being, as their name suggests, responsible for the safety of His Imperial Majesty...alongside his estates. Indeed, tis quite the job...especially for such a relatively small force. And so, as a part of an initiative led by His Imperial Majesty, the Armenian government has henceforth decided to expand the Imperial Guard. Said decision is - of course - a part of the Karg Reforms...and is - rather obviously - taking inspiration from the Russian model of old; replicating the arms, equipment, and general structure used by the Tsars' most loyal men. In addition to introducing new units - most of which are either classified as either 'Kazak' (lit. 'Cossack') or 'Dragoon' Regiments; both of which, as their name suggests, are mounted units. Though this may seem a bit archaic...it should be noted that the Imperial Guard - unless accompanying His Imperial Majesty during his travels - are not to leave the country - nor accompany regular units during wartime. Any and all imperial guardsmen/women are - by law - obligated to remain in Armenia until they either retire, or volunteer for service in 'regular' forces.

Now, there was renewed talk of dismembering the monarchy-- and for once, the people were seemingly behind it. So were several of the members of the royal family to boot. Republicanism was becoming the dominant political idea, and it was steadily taking root among the youngest generation.

In city the citizens barely paid attention to the leaflets and just quickly walked to their destination as they didn’t wanted to face punishment for reading enemy propaganda but also having faced several missile attacks from either Eurasia and Eastasia the thought that the leaflets were just a warning of an upcoming attack as for the OCC officer and Homeland Guard soldiers that got ahold of the leaflets were laughing their ass off at the fact they had wasted a expensive missile just to send a little pieces of paper.

However just because you’re stealthy doesn’t mean you’re invisible …

A radar station operated under the Oceanian Aerial Defense Force when one of the operators noticed a signature pop up on the screen caused by the radar detecting the B-2 after it opened it bomb bay doors and knowledge of the missile didn’t take long to get around so the operators were already checking the ESM array they realize that in order for the missile to find its target it would’ve have used 2 things a radar and/or a gps which could be detected by the ESM array but also give it general location along with it opening it’s bomb bay.

Once located the information that was acquired was quickly relayed to the nearest the airfield there they wasted no time the ground crew quickly attached AAMs and Anti-Rad missiles and loading ammunition for the aircraft gun once done the OFJ-2s taxied intro runaway and started moving its way down the runaway before lifting off.

Once in they sky they flew to higher altitudes and cruising at Mach 2 they were guided to the bomber’s location by the help of ESM from ground and from there they would locate it with their onboard X- and L- band radars and ESM/RWR would only took them like a few minutes to locate it. Knowing the aircraft couldn’t defend itself or outmaneuver a jet one of the pilots within the squadron gave it a radio message although it wasn’t a warning one.

The pilot would locked on to the bomber and launch a missile and watched it flew towards the bomber and incase of that fails the other option was the 23mm autocannon.

The government of the Empire of Greater Nifon wishes to communicate the following to the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Mitheldalond: That the Empire of Greater Nifon, while being a member KTO, is also disatisfied with treatment Armenia has received by fellow KTO members. Additionally, the Empire of Greater Nifon is also a member of Santiago Anti-Communist Treaty and does not look kindly on recent communist expansionism, which in Kojiro-sama's opinion threatens Nifonese interest.

Kojiro-sama has instructed me to offer the government of your excellencies a secret agreement, that would not be released to the public. The Empire of Greater Nifon would like to request the Mitheldalond to agree to recognize the area of Sourthern Furukuran Sea as Nifonese sphere of influence and provide a written guarantee that Mitheldalond will abstain from involvement in that region, regardless it's moral judgement of Nifonese activities in that area.

In turn the Empire of Greater Nifon will abstain from intervention in the KTO-Arusi war; and the Nifonese government will be willing to act as a mediator between KTO and Mitheldalondian / Arusian side. The Mitheldalondian side could always count on Nifonese mediation and support for eventual negotiations. The efficiency of Nifonese army and military technology is well known; it is enough that it were Nifonese made missiles that slaughtered the Lakan carrier group "Explorer" - and by a single agreement, Mithealond stands a chance to remove Nifon from the war.

Should the deal be agreed upon, further agreements could follow.

However, the Empire of Greater Nifon, as per Ishikawa doctrine, views the area of Southern Furukuran Sea as it's vital national interest and rejection of this deal will not be seen kindly by the Nifonese government.

Of course the Nifonese government requests that all talks between our governments be kept secret.

Ukcrossian forces withdraw to Ukcrossian Libya before Armenian forces take Ukcrossian Yugoslavia, blowing up heavy equipment and taking anything else. The High command starts drawing up plans to invade Yugoslavia and Turkey. Recon planes fly over Crete as plans are made for an invasion of Crete and use it as a hop off point into the Balkans and Anatolia. The 3rd Fleet arrives with more supplies, troops and vehicles. BREAKING: Armenia Prepares for War...Again

Well...Twas nice while it lasted.

Reports of explosions throughout the Balkans shook the Armenian government - and its subjects - to their core. Twas supposed to be a peaceful era...right? The Armenian government was - of course - rather hesitant to bring the country into another conflict and yet...something of this calibre couldn't just go ignored. Twould be a slight on Armenia's reputation...and twould be a sign of weakness in the eyes of its foes. And so, in front of thousands, His Imperial Majesty authorized the 'Aramyan Protocol'; a plan devised to allow for a swift, yet effective, response to any sort of hostility shown towards Armenia and/or its territorial integrity...and as such has begun to mobilize its forces in preparation of...well; any further attacks. This time, though...Twasn't the Turks, nor even the Muqaddasis, whom perpetrated such a heinous act. Twas none-other than the Ukcrossians...a nation of which Armenia - be it diplomatically or militarily - has never interacted with before. Interesting indeed.

Armenian troops stationed in and around Crete have - to no surprise - reported sightings of hostile aircraft over the island of Crete; an integral position for the Mediterranean Fleet...and one of the last of the Greek islands to have fallen. In the meantime, the Armenian government has called for an 'immediate response' from the international community...citing threats to world peace, and the further destabilization of an already unstable region.
