[The Selkie]

The ocean surrounding Cartreffa Island in the South-Eastern Oileánra-Archipelago shimmered in that one blue tone, which said, that this was tropical, not too deep, but not too shallow either and that this was a place, where the concerns of the world were far away.
An ideal spot for relaxation.
I knew that well enough, mainly because, well – I am the Installation-Type Cartreffa Island, the spirit and personification of this Naval Yard, which was formally under the rule of the SDF-Navy. I was left to my own devices, for my role was not one of an active base, but as a centre for R&R for the shipgirls and shipboys of the SDF-Navy and of friendly nations, civilian enterprises and private people.
And only for our kind.
Humans needed special permission to even think about coming here.
That being said, there wasn't much here for them to see anyway: The Pontoon Harbour, the settlement, dense jungle, and, deep within said jungle, the Temple of Lodan Lir and Aranrot. The former was revered by the Selkie as the God of Sea and Rivers, the latter as Goddess of the Moon and Stars, the two of them deeply in love and deeply separated by their elements.
The Temple was a bit derelict, though.
I had called for aid, from the SDF-Navy, from Independent Shippersons and I had made an offer: Help me with the temple and a party on the day humans celebrated the Harvest Festival would happen. Food, drink, drinks, fun and games (including a gunnery competition), I had a few incentives.
During the renovation, someone had a bright idea, though: “Hey, let's invite foreign shippersons as well!” We all stopped and looked at Rona. The green-haired young woman with the crocodilian tail grinned at me. She usually went by SDFS ARC-26 Rona, an LBT, but she liked to be called Rona. “That'd be fun, right?”
I thought for a moment. I was a resort for shippersons, a former pirate base and while I had my regulars, and irregulars, the more the merrier...
“You know, that'd be quite fun.”, another voice, belonging to the corvette Siohas, said. Agreeing murmurs followed.
I looked to Maighdean, my friend and modern guided missile cruiser. She shrugged.
“Alright, I'll send out the invite – and bust out the bottles more suited for our stature!”, I explained with a grin. Cheers followed.

Hello and welcome to A Festival of Stars!
First things first: This RP is one using Moe anthropomorphisms of ships, think Kantai Collection or Azur Lane. If that is not your cuppa tea, be aware of this.
This is also a festival-RP, this year's Harvest Festival, held at a remote island in the Free Lands. While there will be competitions (first and foremost of course the aforementioned gunnery competition, simplified from what the nice ladies and gentlemen over on NS-Sports do), there will be no enemies to kill. This is a social RP, use it for worldbuilding, if you want.
The IC started on the 23rd of September 2022 and can be found here.

1. No Godmodding, Meta-Gaming or similar things. No exceptions.

1.1. I am the OP, my word is the law. I reserve the right to amend these rules as I see fit. I also reserve the right to deny any application for any reason whatsoever.
1.2. NS-Rules are NOT optional.
1.3. Be polite on the OOC. The IC is another question... ; )
1.4. If you suspect someone of being guilty of breaking any of these rules, bring it to our attention in a calm and civilized way here. We will talk about it.
1.5. OOC on the OOC-thread, IC on the IC-thread. It's not complicated.
1.6. For convenience, I will play the character from Teressien, Kyrenaia and other nations under my control from this account. For those needing a list...
1.7. Please keep in mind, that there might be days, when I don't respond to questions on the OOC or posts on the IC immediately. Please don't freak out, if that happens.

2. All NPCs will be controlled by me and only by me. No exceptions.
3. No murders. This is a party, not a murder mystery. No exceptions.

3.1. Violence between player characters only after both involved players agreed to it here. No exception.
3.2. No declarations of war or similar things. No exceptions.

4. Permitted Characters, a.k.a. the heart of this ruleset:

4.1. Generally, this is a party for the Moe anthropomorphisms of ships of your nation, be they warships or civilian vessels. The only limitations are, that they fit in a MT-Techframe and that they are of your IC-Nation – that means, that a museum ship of the line is permitted, the modern aircraft carrier is permitted, civilian yachts are permitted, the long-since scrapped famous ocean liner is permitted, but the railgun-armed super-battleship isn't and neither are any spaceships. I am on the fence about airships, as long as they are within reason.
4.2. No vessels, which are in service with IRL right now or were in service IRL in the past or the future – so, no Enterprise, no Bismarck, no Yamato, no Titanic. Yes, I know, no, I don't care. No exceptions.
4.3. In some of the games, which served as inspirations, the shipgirls have little helpers. In KanColle, those are the fairies, in AL, those are the manjuus. None of that, or whatever you come up with, is permitted. No exception.
4.4. Likewise, no non-shippersons. Pets are permitted, but keep it reasonable. No exceptions.
4.5. Maximum number of characters: Four (4).
4.6. One Character, one filled out app. No exceptions.
4.7. Dress Code: Beach Wardrobe. HOWEVER, as this includes Swimsuits, which can be rather revealing, I ask you to show restraint with the selection of images and with descriptions. Generally, keep it PG-13, people! That goes doubly so with the younger/younger-looking characters. Of course, your people can also drop by in other clothes (I do not recommend arctic clothing, though ; )). No nudism. You can also write a description, if you want.
4.8. While we are at images, please hotlink to the images, if they are wider then around 550 by 550 pixels and please do not spoiler. This is not a hard rule, but a request.
4.9. Security: Will be provided by me. Your people do not need to worry. No exceptions.
4.10. The question “Have you read and understood the Rules?” is to be answered with “Those fuel tanks must give a lot of range!” You also have to provide a RP-sample from the account you are applying with, a link to one of your RPs in the past, showing how you interact with other players, NOT a paragraph written on the fly. No exceptions.
4.11. Characters must be original. You can use whatever images you want, though (God knows, I do ; )). No exceptions.
