And without support of the legislature or council nothing is getting done. There is no way they’d win a primary or general election after comments and actions like that.

This is what happens when somebody doesn't understand how change can occur outside of the realm of electoral politics. People are literally striking for better conditions and Lumen's still "But what about the politicians!!!!!!"

As I stated, businesses were requiring workers and customers to follow the health guide lines, under the government of President Trump,

anyway, the supreme court decided on West Virginia v EPA, so I guess now agencies can't make policies unless congress specifically tells them they can or something. what fun. I see the GOP's plan to hamstring the federal government into uselessness is underway.

In the real world you’d lose re-election either in a primary or general election.

in the real world neither you nor I would be within 12 parsecs of holding public office, so what the fuck does it matter.

you could be saying that the Reagan administration did it, but I think it's funnier if you're suggesting Reagan personally killed all the birds, so that's what I'm going with.

No that’s not what I said.

The conversation is literally about the possibility of a mayor, governor or other elected politician supporting striking workers by giving them food. People are literally already on strike or threatening to strike and your concern is that the mayor, governor or whoever that voices their support for striking workers would lose the support of their colleagues in elected office - to which we've been trying desperately to point out to you that that doesn't fucking matter when you've suddenly got the support of striking workers on your side.

You also left out the part where Tarsonis said people would have deal with no power and shortages and to send food to striking workers. They would come off as tone deaf.
